I loved visiting the Boston Chipyard! We tried a few of each cookie and enjoyed all of them. I like that they have bag and tin options to keep them fresh. They were warm and soft and so delicious. My favorite was the peanut butter cookie as it had so much flavor. The service was so quick and the girls working were very friendly. The Chipyard is located inside of Faneuil Hall. A good little stop to satisfy your sweet tooth! Come hungry or come with family/friends because you can't buy just one cookie: the minimum purchase amount is six! As you can see - the cookies are about the size of a Chips Ahoy (but that's where the similarities stop - The Chipyard is much better) -- so they're aren't the obscene giant cookies that other establishments seem to be serving these days. There is a decent selection of types: I stuck with the chocolate chip (x4), a chocolate walnut chip and a white chocolate chip. I agree with others that the cookie quality has changed. It's a bit drier, and less soft. I used to love these cookies so much. It seems now not only the goodness is gone but it's also getting affected by shrinflation - some of the cookie were even smaller than before. We stopped into the Boston shipyard while walking around Quincy market. We had heard good things and wanted to try a few different flavors. You cannot just buy one or two cookies which I think is a downfall. We ended up buying a half dozen, which is the least amount that you can buy. The cookies are small in size. And based on the size, I think they were a little pricey. But they were good cookies. A dozen is now $11 and the cookies are still sub par to what they used to be over ten years ago. I had a cookie craving and this place is close to my work so I come here to fulfill my cravings. We both wanted to love them because of how good they smelled and how cute they looked, but every cookie we got was crunchy (presumedly over-baked,) and we got a decent variety of the day's options, so it wasn't just one batch of over-baked cookies. Prices are decent, although a little on the pricey side for the size of the cookies (a dozen for $11). I decided on a half dozen chocolate chip and half dozen fudge chocolate chip. They came out of the warmer, so I was expecting them to be warm, cripsy on the outside/soft on the inside, and gooey. Instead they were slightly warm and more crunchy than soft. Both weren't super sweet. Preferred the chocolate chip over the fudge chocolate chip. The cookies also came in different sizes, although they were all bite sized. There's something about getting a dozen of mini cookies from the Chipyard whenever I visit Fanueil Hall. There's just so gosh darn good. They're out of this world if you can get them straight out of the oven. This place has been in Quincy Market for years. For about $20 you can get 2 dozen cookies in neat little paper bags. (Theyre usually iconic bright yellow bags but I guess they had run out of those when I went by today.) I like to get them for my co-workers during lunch or for family during the holidays. For a couple bucks more you can get the cookies in pretty little tins. The cookies themselves used to be much smaller, but I'm not complaining. First, let's talk about the experience ordering them, no one on line in front of us, and the guy behind the counter saw us, but ignored us.... carried on as if we weren't there. It would have been fine if he had at the very least greeted us and said please wait a minute but it's another to completely ignore us. The cookies we got were so small... smaller than the size of my palm. The cookies were overly hard and crispy, they use to be perfectly melt in your mouth in the middle and crispy on the edges. But now it's just hard and unpleasant for my teeth. It is also more sweet now and not subtle sweetness with delicious cookie batter. I can shrug this off and say that this was just a bad batch but it doesn't really seem worth it anymore.... for such small cookies... for $7/dozen... seems a little high for me.
