So this was my 1st time here and I was looking somewhere different to eat. Let me tell you... what charming liitle place off the beaten path. The dining area was full of little nooks where you can be more private and larger tables to accommodate crowds. The hostess recommended the Alibaba sandwich and the falafel appetizer. I highly recommend eating the falafel with the "Secret-homemade" spicy sauce. Falafel was a first for me, OH Soooooo Good! I topped this with a steamy cup of hot mint tea....This was not a mint teabag, NO this was tea with real mint leaves. Overall, a very yummy meal!!! It's ok, but it could be much much better... Middle Eastern cooking is there, but all flavors are bland, and the plates are very simple, like the restaurant itself. We got the lamb shawarma, which was good, but a small portion and a little tough, on a lot of yellow rice; and the mezze plate, which you can easily make at home (eggplant puree, hummus, yogurt dip). The pita bread is copious, but again not particularly special, definitely not homemade. Prices in line with the rest of downtown. read more

It really depends on the day & time of visit to guarantee fresh cooked food. Our 1st & last visit was on a Sunday around lunch time. The two college kids behind the counter were very polite. Our order consist of the chicken scharwma, a Turkish coffee. Chicken was a bit dry & rubbery, the rice I could tell was scooped from a sitting pot because there were a lot of lumps of balled rice, coffee was awful, salad was warm. Ordered lamb shawarma and based on yelp pictures and menu it's 13$ and when I arrived there, they told me it was old picture and bump it to 15$ and I was like okay just 2$ differences. So fantastic! I dropped in for a quick snack while in town for a veterinary appointment. The service was outstanding - warm, friendly and exceptionally accommodating. (As an example, I wanted to stay with my dog who'd had a long day at the vet, and the server actually brought the food out to my car! I can't guarantee this is standard procedure, but it sure was appreciated.) Great vegan and gluten-free options. The dolmas were among the best I've ever had; beautifully presented and so delicious. I tried this place based on the reviews and couldn't have been more disappointed. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, and the Ali Baba sandwich. The salad had maybe two slices of tomato, and so little chicken it was ridiculous. The Ali Baba sandwich came on a good sized pita, but there was about 1/2 a cup of sauce which I assume was there to try and hide the fact that there was a sun total of 2 slices of bell pepper, 4 tiny slices of chicken and 1 piece of onion. Really great food! They had a jumbo option for the lamb dinner platter which was plenty for 2 people. The lamb was fall off the bone and full of spice. This was such an amazing find! The food was DIVINE. So excited to find a place in Corvallis that does stuffed grape leaves! My boyfriend and I got the hummus (delicious), grape leaves, Moroccan chicken, and chicken shawarma. We fell head over heels in love with this food. My mom and I had our eyes on this restaurant for awhile now, but we finally went in today, and we're so glad we did! The food was some of the best Moroccan food we've had. The employees were very polite and patient while my mom and I decided what we'd have, and the food was served very quickly. We ordered the 40 Thieves Salad, the Moroccan roasted chicken, the labneh appetizer (seasoned yogurt cheese with pita), the Turkish Coffee, and the avocado-almond smoothie (I was a little nervous about ordering it since I'd never tried a smoothie like that before, but it was so refreshing!). We also made a second order of both the walnut and pistachio baklava and one turkish delight to go. The servings were generous and very well-priced compared to other restaurants we've tried with similar food. The salad was good, but the rest of the meal had us eating past the point of being stuffed. The roasted chicken was beautifully seasoned with herbs and was delightfully moist in the inside; the bed of rice was also simple yet flavorful and moist. I'd never tried labneh before, but it was my favorite part of the meal, and I couldn't stop eating it! The yogurt cheese was light, seasoned, and "zippy" without being overly sour, and the pita also flavorful and lovely in texture, soft yet a little chewy. The Turkish coffee was strong and my mom, a coffee snob, wanted to order a second. The avocado-almond smoothie wasn't overwhelmingly avocado-y like I'd worried it might be; instead it was light and refreshing, tasting subtly of both avocado and almond as promised, with little creaminess. The baklava and turkish delight were both yummy, especially the baklava, which was flaky and flavorful ( the pistachio was my favorite!) and not too sweet. Will definitely come here again, and can't wait to show this cafe off to my family and friends! read more

Had noticed this place a couple of days ago on a late-night dogwalk. It's hard to miss good food smells in downtown at 12am - your options are usually Riva's or... yeah... Riva's... and it's debatable whether that falls into the 'good smell' category. But I digress. I went in this evening and tried a chicken shawarma on their recommendation. They got this spot-on and on par with some of the better late-night kebab joints I've found in bigger cities. Nice. Shawarma is usually served as a pita sandwich and d'el Jebal does theirs by the book; lots of tasty chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious sauce. Sometimes simple and plentiful is good. I suppose it was the most expensive item on the menu but at $6.99 it still seemed reasonable. There are other lunchy/late night snacky type foods too - salads for $5-6, other sandwiches $5-6, and even some tasty looking sweets. I guess they have breakfast sandwiches on either pitas or bagels, but I doubt that I will ever be craving shawarma at 7am. You never know, though. I do see myself wandering down here at 1am on occasion for a late-night grilled meat fix. I also got a pineapple/strawberry smoothie. It was, well, a smoothie - exactly what you'd expect blended pineapple, strawberries, and milk to taste like. They have done a nice job with the space they have - the interior is warm and inviting. They've got a cute little outside patio (dog friendly) though it's a little loud with the vents from nearby buildings.. I do wonder if they'll be able to maintain the optimistic 7AM - 2AM open hours as that side of downtown seems pretty dead most nights from 8pm onward. read more

Had lunch here with a friend. I got the chicken schwarma and she got the special -- another sandwich with grilled onions and peppers. Both came in good time, nice and succulently warm from the grill. We've been to the Cafe 5 times since August and each time the food is consistently good. Our favorites are the Ali Baba and the Secret Sandwich. The owners are very hospitable and kind. Last week, when my mother was with us he came over and holds around with us and had a wonderful conversation with us as well. The ambience is quite nice and it's a good place to hangout. Not much to say really, it's a good Middle Eastern restaurant with good food! The customer service is always very nice and cordial as well. My friends enjoy the house sauces, not sure how it's spelled, but we always get an order of Bad Sauce to go with our fries. I work nearby Le Cafe, and I have to say - when I'm really hungry and need something substantial, delicious, and not fast food.. This is where I go. The prices seem a little steep for lunch, but the quality and taste can't be beat. They have a daily special, and I check that nearly daily - if it is the Moroccan Chicken or the Fried Chicken (oh my god good), I eat my lunch there. Hands down. Their Baked Chicken is good as well. The chicken dishes all come with saffron rice and a small salad. Huge amounts of food for the price - the Moroccan chicken is easily enough for 2 full meals. It's not all chicken, though! The lamb is awesome. They don't use pre-processed mystery-meat-lamb. It's the real deal, freshly cooked and delicious. I don't know what they do to their french fries, but they are krinkle-cut morsels of amazingness, especially with some "Bad Sauce". (On request - make sure you try this stuff. I'm still not sure what it is, but I'm addicted). All in all: 5 stars of delicious food, friendly staff, and great location... and late hours! 11:30pm most nights~! woo! read more

Solid place: good food, nice folks, good feel inside. I'm fairly picky about middle eastern food. I've eaten here twice and will keep trying new items. The chicken shwarma, fipita, and hummus are good. Great thing about the hummus is they have a 1/2 order for $2.5 that's perfect sized. They hummus itself is fresh, plus the pita is done right (not overdone and dry like so many places). Only thing I'd say is a negative is that the mains are a bit small - not too bad though. The food is solid but not great. They have a delicious mango smoothie and really tasty hummus as well as pitta bread. However, their shawarma is a little dry and not as flavorful as you would like. I ordered two items from here - the hummus (with beef) and the ali baba. First of all the order was supposed to be delivered within 40-60 mins? It took over two hours. Obviously the food was not hot, the Ali baba tasted ok but the hummus was absolutely disgusting. I've eaten middle eastern food in the Middle East as well as in the United States and this was an absolute disappointment IN ADDITION to the fact that the order was delayed by an additional hour and the delivery person didn't even follow instructions and was knocking on a different door. I will never be ordered from here again. I actually ate at Al Jebal the sister restaurant twice when I moved here and it was awful. I was just hoping little Morocco would be better despite being owned by the same management. read more

The only reason I'm even giving three stars is because the service was friendly and the food was made quickly and very warm. However, our order was incorrect. We ordered a sandwich and got a plate instead. The portions are so small. You get a tiny amount of chicken with way too much rice. The sauce on the salad was awful.
