The dinosaur by the entrance was one of our favorites--my nephew loved it so much and was excited the whole time. One of the best parts was the stage and dress-up theater section. It was so engaging for the kids! They got to play, pretend, and really use their imagination. It was fun watching them interact, perform, and just be themselves. I also liked how social it was for children. Kids were playing together, sharing, and exploring as a group, which made the experience even better. It's not just fun, but also a great place for kids to build confidence and connect with others. Overall, such a fun and memorable day. Definitely a great spot for families with kids! Side not get camera ready! I took so many photos I only posted what I could for privacy reasons but such memorable experience!

My only concern wasn't the museum itself--it was the behavior of some parents. During our visit, we had several encounters where parents allowed their children to take toys that my kids were actively playing with. In one instance, a parent even encouraged their child to take an item my child was using instead of redirecting them or teaching them to wait their turn. That made the experience less enjoyable. The most uncomfortable part of our visit happened in the arts and crafts area. A man who was there with his family repeatedly stared at my sister, our children, and me in a way that felt unwelcome. We also observed him taking apart other children's art projects so his own children could use the materials. While my sister and I were cleaning up our table, his behavior became increasingly unsettling. At one point, a pair of scissors landed on our table where our children were sitting after he tossed them in that direction. He also walked past us several times, continued staring, and kicked a chair as he passed. I want to be clear that none of these concerns reflect the museum itself. The staff and exhibits were great, and I would still recommend the museum to families. I just hope parents remember that shared spaces work best when everyone models kindness, respect, and consideration for others so all children can have a positive experience.

Upon arriving, my first thought was that I wished I had made a point of visiting much sooner. I had been missing out. We arrived when it opened, and the place was already buzzing with activity. Although it was busy, it never felt crowded. I found a QR code that brought up a map on my phone, which made it easy to navigate the grounds. We started at the Plumeria Festival, where there were plenty of vendors selling plumeria plants and other garden-related items. There was also live music on the main stage and several food trucks. After visiting the festival, we set out to explore the rest of the Arboretum. We saw plenty of wildlife, including peacocks, squirrels, rabbits and even a coyote. The walking trails are relatively easy, and there are plenty of benches where you can stop, rest and take in the surroundings. It was a great way to spend the better part of a day, and I will definitely be going back.

They had food trucks, agua Fresca (the pineapple orange is great ) They had table seating and lawn seating. The atmosphere was great and everyone was friendly and happy. Peacocks were walking about freely and interacting with the people- it was fun We shuttled from Santa Anita Park And it was incredibly nice and simple. I liked the event and will return.

The veggies at Ian's stand are grown locally and are excellent quality. I was impressed with the variety and have loved everything I've been cooking! I bought some radishes bc I love to snack on them whole and plain - and they have been just delicious. I also bought a giant carrot and some green summer squash to throw in a soup - but I ended up making the squash as a side dish to go with my roasted chicken. That squash was incredible! Such flavor and so soft - infinitely more flavorful (and huge) than any of the same type I've gotten at the grocery stores.  I've been using the giant carrot and cucumber I got in salads and they're also so flavorful and delicious. I used the onion and garlic in my roast chicken and made mashed potatoes with some yellow potatoes from Ians - all fantastic. I'm blown away by just how much more intense the flavors are as opposed to veggies from Ralphs I usually get. The staff were so friendly and their prices were exceptionally reasonable - I paid $10 for my whole haul so I'll definitely be stocking up on veggies from here anytime I'm making a chicken run at Maust's farm lol! Ian's farm stand is located right next to the petting zoo on Maust's property and is easy to find. There's plenty of parking on site as well - it's unpaved but in excellent condition so no issues there. Highly recommend veggies from Ian's stand!

You can see the fossils up close - a whale which had legs! a megladon and a basking sharks mouth, a saber tooth tiger cat were among the highlights for any kid interested in dinosaurs and ancient animals. This isn't a busy museum with long lines, waiting turns to get up to something close. This is super easy, very relaxed and just as educational.

What a wonderful little getaway at CSU Fullerton! This was my first visit and wanted to check it…read moreout before school is back in session. Parking is in front near the entrance, weekdays it's $4 /hr but free on the weekends. Admission is just a $5 suggested donation to support the arboretum. I arrived within the first half hour after opening to try and beat the heat. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. This is a peaceful place to unwind and definitely encourage you to visit.

We spent a lot of time admiring a group of docile ducks and enjoying the shade by the water. They also have an online plant shop for those interested in gardening (with a great ongoing deal). Planning on purchasing from there and picking up so I have an excuse to stop by again. Loved my time here. Expect to enjoy yours too!

First time here with my family in the summer heat!…read more Parking is plentiful when we arrived right before opening! The entrance is a short walk from the lot. On your way to the entrance , there are lots of vendors: food, aqua Fresca, clothing, hats, umbrellas, etc! So if you forget something at home, You'll be fine! Note/ there are people who protest at the front gate but they didn't bother anyone. Inside the zoo, there's a coffee bean truck, dippin dots, ice cream trucks , plenty of spots to purchase food , drinks, snacks, and refreshments. I saw a few grills and cafes as well. Overall look of the zoo echos many reviews left on Yelp, of it being run down and looking old and needing some maintenance. One thing to point out, the staff at ticketing gate didn't check my purse or diaper bag.... I would think just for security measures they would check pockets and bags. There is an area for kids / playground. There's also a small area where you can get up close with Vietnamese pigs and brush goats! There were no horses, elephants, or lions. I liked the how the zoo created an environment where it felt like we were traveling to Africa or North America , or Asia! I really like the Asian themed bamboos, and temple like structure! It was my favorite part! We purchased pictures taken by the photographer at the end of the trip for memories! It was nice to enjoy this time with my family. Thanks LA ZOO!

I think they opened about an hour after the park opened. The zoo needs some revamping as well as their directions are a bit confusing. Also, a few animals weren't at the zoo anymore and I personally didn't see any notice until arriving upon an exhibit. Despite that and the heat, we had a good time. My niece loved the flamingos, goats, and the alligator. We also went on the carousel (I had bought two tickets as the person at the ticket booth told me to), but I didn't feel comfortable having her ride on the carousel animals alone (I think they didn't have belts). The ride attendee was very nice and let us go on twice since I was going to stand on the ride with her instead.

Jurassic Con is a fun and free, little convention that's taken place in the Ralph B. Clark…read moreInterpretive Center for the last couple years. They've gathered props, costumes, and special effects pieces from different movies and shows, most particularly the Jurassic franchise, obviously. This year, unlike last, there was more going on outside with all the different tents dedicated to paleontology, local indigenous tribes, and environmentalism. They also had science presentations using liquid nitrogen. This year there were more cosplayers, and several Jurassic Park jeeps in the motor pool. Since they hold it in a place loaded with fossils, it sort of blurs the lines between cinema and reality. You get done looking at studio molds, animatronic dinosaurs, and Ray Harryhausen's claymation figures, and go look at Ice Age mammals, take pictures pretending to be eaten by a megalodon, and ask the resident scientists about the latest finds.
