My boyfriend and I found Little Paws on Yelp. We arrived in Mammoth around 8am. Our condo that we were going to rent wasn't available for check-in until 5, so we were going to spend the day snowboarding but didn't have anyone to care for our little fur baby. We called every dog sitting place and left messages. Betty Jo was quick to respond and was able to take our 9 month old Cavapoo at such short notice. We arrived at her place and saw other dogs under her care including a cute French bulldog pup that my pup can play with. The dogs can roam in and out of the house as she supervises. It gave us a sense of relief to know what our pup was doing and to know that our pup was under great care. We picked our pup up after snowboarding. Our pup was pooped! Took my dog here while I went skiing. He's a husky and has so much energy but Ashley took care of my dog. She texted me pictures letting me know how he was doing. They take care of your dog and walk them to match their energy! I highly recommend! They were so sweet. Betty Jo made me feel comfortable about my dog even when he almost dropped her Christmas tree! My Girlfriend and I found Little Paws Pet care via Yelp and decided to give it a try. We wanted to go snowboarding for the day without leaving our 3 dogs cooped up in the condo we were staying in. We contacted this place and they got back to us immediately (we called 2 days prior to coming to Mammoth). From the get go they were VERY Hospitable! We felt absolutely Comfortable dropping our 3 girls off there. It's a nice cozy cabin like home that had toys ready for the dogs. We dropped them off at 8am and got several text updates from Ashely throughout the day of the girls on a nice long hike and of them relaxing afterwards. It felt great not having to worry about them and we were 100% Comfortable with leaving them in Ashely's care. We picked up our girls around 6:30 that evening and they were just as tired as we were after a day on the slopes. We HIGHLY recommend Little Paws Pet Care if you need a dog sitter in Mammoth! I couldn't have been happier with Betty Jo. I was in a jam in Mammoth as the hotel I was staying at was mistakenly categorized as pet friendly on Trip Advisor. Betty Jo took my wheaten terrier, Brady, on very short notice. Her place is so nice and so dog friendly. She takes all the dogs on a very nice, picturesque walk in the snow through the trails by her house, and sent pictures of Brady to let me know he was having fun playing. I hadn't planned on boarding him overnight, but after a few drinks at apres ski, decided to go to dinner with friends and she was very friendly and accommodating. She also was very flexible about what time I could pick him up. And she sent a very nice follow up note afterwards. My two sons and I made a last minute trip to Mammoth and we brought our little Shih Tzu with us. We arrived with no plan for our dog and realized keeping her in a hotel room while skiing for 2 days was not a good idea. We were referred to Little Paws by another pet sitting service in town that only took on big dogs. We arranged to drop our 5 year old Maltipoo, Barkley, off on a Friday morning with Betty Jo since we couldn't check into our rented condo until later in the afternoon and we wanted to spend the day on the mountain. Betty Jo was very responsive when we inquired about her pet sitting services and asked prescreening questions about our dog over the phone to make sure he would work well with other dogs. On that particular day, Betty Jo had her dog, Cinnamon, and another younger chocolate lab. I was really nervous about dropping my dog off, so we spent 10 minutes letting Barkley get acclimated, filling out paperwork, and asking questions. Betty Jo was very attentive to the dogs' demeanor during that time, which helped ease some nerves. Throughout the day we got updated text messages and photos of our dog's activities. She took the dogs on two 45 minute - 1 hour walks. Our dog was exhausted when we picked him up. After we got home, Betty Jo emailed us a link to the photos she posted Facebook of the dogs on their excursions for the day. The dogs looked like they had a great time. The pictures are what really set Little Paws apart from the rest. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be using Betty Jo the next time we are in Mammoth. read more

We had a great experience with Betty Jo and Little Paws Pet Care. I called earlier in the week of our Mammoth trip this August, and she got back to me that evening, letting me know she could watch our 2 dogs (15lb & 25lbs) for that Saturday. I went over some info on the dogs, things that worry me as a dog parent (one is leash aggressive, other one is wary of strangers, etc.) but she was completely comfortable with taking them, because she is a true dog professional. We ended up leaving the dogs with her for a full day while we went out hiking, since it was warm where we were going and the littler one of the two doesn't do long hot hikes. We went over to her cabin, went over her contract, and spent the day on our hike knowing our dogs were in good hands. Meanwhile she took my dogs to spend the day at Saddlebag Lake, and the photos from their day show a gorgeous day out and about while the dogs sniffed and walked to their heart's content. What a great service to have- full day dog daycare by a true dog lover, where they take your dogs on a beautiful hike any dog would love. I found them through Yelp, and would definitely recommend Little Paws to anyone, and will call again when in Mammoth. read more

Mix had never been "boarded" before. My initial phone call and communication was very easy and informative, and Ashley made a thorough personality assessment over the phone to make sure my dog would fit in... When we arrived we met Betty Jo and instantly felt at ease leaving our dog with this woman.
