THE STORY: I reached out to Balloon & Paper 5 days prior to my baby shower requesting pricing on 3 types of balloon setups. They responded within a business day and I was excited to work with them as they are located close to me and I have lots of events I need balloons for. That excitement was short lived. General email exchanges fell flat, with short responses and not all questions addressed. Details were missed, confirmations slow to come in, and I was left unsure of what was going on. At 8pm the night before my event they emailed me telling me the color blue I requested earlier that week wasn't available. Not ideal, but time was of the essence, and I responded to just pick what they thought best. I woke up the day of my baby shower, emailed them to let them know I was coming to pick up my order at the agreed upon time, and they responded saying THEY HAVEN'T MADE THE BALLOONS. Excuse me, what? We just spoke hours before! Their excuse? They didn't think I wanted them anymore because I never paid their invoice. Mind you, the invoice was sent at 8pm the night before. The invoice was INCORRECT so I asked them to update it and had assumed I would pay when I picked them up given the details that were continuously missed during our exchanges. I was completely beside myself. Shocked that I just spoke to them hours before and this wasn't mentioned, and that they left me with no decor the morning of my baby shower. From there, they completely IGNORED my emails and calls. Who the hell runs business this way?! We email exchanged at 8pm the night before where my last email was "I trust your creative vision" -- why would one think I didn't want the balloons anymore? One of the most unprofessional exchanges I've had with a business. They dropped the ball and didn't have the professionalism to even say they are sorry.
