I have become a Little Sister stan this summer. This place is just awesome. I am a vegetarian, and have a lot of trouble finding food to eat in Rockport (it's alllllll seafood!). Little Sister not only has a veggie burger, but it is honestly one of the best ones I have EVER had (and trust me, I've had a lot). Their service is great, and the food comes out nice and quick. There is plenty of seating on a first-come basis, or you can take your burger to go and enjoy the beautiful views, because they wrap it SUPER nicely in a special wrapper that catches all of the sauces and bits that you might lose along the way. Just go. Don't think. Just go. What a hidden jewel in Rockport, and we are so glad to have found it the day before they close for the season (or the holidays)! While seating is limited inside, there's plenty of sitting outside along with views for days of the shoreline! Our kiddo loved watching how the food was made while sitting at the counter. Having a gluten allergy has kept me from eating fried chicken sandwiches, onion rings, and fried fish. Here, all the batter is gluten free, so I got to partake in total gluten free fried food joy! The GF bun for the Larry Bird was so good! I love how light and crispy the batter was, and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. Solid coleslaw and pickles to give that nice texture and lightness to the fried chicken sandwich. I could have eaten these onion rings all day and not realized it. The batter is very simple, but it is GF and sticks so well to the onion rings! Crunchy, light, perfectly seasoned and crave worthy! The real star was the fish and chips. I haven't been able to have good fish and chips for over 2 decades because of my allergy, but l could have it here, and my goodness was it good. Perfectly cooked, light, crunchy, tender fish. Simple tartar sauce, solid fries, and just such a delicious dish. Huge pieces of fish that kept us all full for hours. Cannot rave about it enough! While the fries were solid, I would suggest the waffle fries and onion rings for sure! Add great service and a super friendly staff, and Little Sister is a great place to go to in Rockport! Ok I know there's so many burger joints out there it's tough to distinguish them apart occasionally but this newcomer to the Rockport food scene is probably in my top five for best burger I've ever eaten. With a simple menu of well executed casual eats. From the foot long dog to the perfectly seasoned fries along with friendly service this should be on your summertime "to do" list. Last night I had the Duke veggie burger, which was great, and tonight I went with the Local Fried Fish Sandwich, which was even better. Perfectly cooked fish, expertly battered, with very tasty cole slaw and pickled peppers. So good. Very friendly staff who make you feel right at home from the second you step into the place - which is no mean feat in a fairly tiny establishment. It's laid out perfectly and abuts a lane overlooking the bay so it's a great place to dawdle while you wait for your takeout order. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. Phenomenal new burger joint! Excellent menu of mostly burgers, but also a solid fish sandwich, and a hot dog for old time's sake (they are located where Top Dog used to be). This is the latest venture by Josh and Ariel Smith, the owners/chef at Talise. It's a fun counterpoint, but has the same informal vibe with top notch food. The best burger I've had in years. I had the Big Brother, which is two perfectly seasoned patties and a special sauce of jalapeños and bacon. Son had the fish sandwich, wife had a simpler burger, and ... okay, I also had the Little Sister hot dog because I have no willpower. DELICIOUS! Killer fries also. Rumor has it this wonderful hole in the walk is somehow related to or owned & operated by Ms. Alice Waters alumni. No matter...simply the best burger this side of the Atlantic with at least 10% beef fat or lard handmade to order. Fries of all types and sizes, coleslaw and more scrumptious sides. All reasonably priced and competently and professionally prepared and served. Be patient, this ain't MacDonalds with food waiting hours under a sizzling heat lamp. Staff pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Small cozy interior and two outside dining areas both with watery ocean port and harbour views. Excellent for beach, hotel or home takeout. Got the burger, hot dog and fries. These are smash burgers, I had one of the specials. It was a bit greasy for me, I'm not used to super greasy smash burgers. The bun was soaked and falling apart, still a good burger. The hot dog was a basic hot dog. Nothing fancy. Fries were basic fries. I didn't spend a whole lot for all this food it was fair priced. The service was very good, super friendly people even during their dinner rush. The overall location is very nice, indoor and outdoor seating however it can be cramped during rushes. read more

We loved lunch at Little Sister. My fiancee got the brunch burger, which included the patty, an egg, some bacon, pickles, chips, and cheese. He said it was a solid burger that he'd definitely get again. I opted for a plain hot dog and we shared a large fry. I loved that the fries had sea salt! We decided to sit outside at the stools since the seating inside was full. The staff was very nice as well! We will definitely be visiting again and recommend if you're in Rockport! read more

In the old beloved Top Dog location, Little Sister has a small menu of burgers, veggie burgers, two (?) hot dogs, fish sandwiches, and (sometimes) clams. The burgers were pretty good, smashed, in the style of Shake Shack. My wife felt her fish sandwich was "okay." THAT SAID, maybe the staff was overwhelmed by the flood of out of towners like me on a holiday Saturday, but the friendly vibe of Top Dog was only present in the nice guy ringing us up, but the yellow pole that kids could sign with a Kent Sharpie was painted over; there was a weird issue with our order; and though it's unfair to compare the award-winning specially-sourced whole belly clams of the previous tenant with this place, when I asked someone "tell me about the clams, Top Dog had a whole story about them" I just got a clearly exhausted "We sell clams sometimes. (We don't specialize in them) but they're good." Well, I didn't try them for $35 today, but maybe some day I will. Maybe this place still would have some friendly neighborhood charm if I came back on a slow day, but it just felt like a grind instead of a sentimental return. read more

We thought we were going to Top Dog which ahd a really great menu. Menu here wasn't great and we got food that wasn't the greatest. My daughters missed being able to get mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers like they could at Top Dog. Little Sister didn't realize that we had ordered for 4 people and not 2 and put the fries that both my kids ordered with my hot dog and my husband's burger. He thought the fries were part of his meal till we figured it out. Never going back. Bring back Top Dog. read more
