Visiting the last stop on the commuter train from Boston, we wanted to have a nice dinner and chose this place. The bar had open seats and a Vanderbilt football game on, so there we sat. The bartender was very friendly and took great care of us. The food was really good, especially the buffalo shrimp with blue cheese dressing for dipping. The dinning room looked like it had a great view of the harbor, if sitting at the bar isn't your thing. There were a couple of other well-reviewed restaurants in Rockport, so getting a good meal shouldn't be difficult. The Fish Shack made it very easy.

What a great way to end our night! Chowder, crab cakes, lobster, and sautéed shrimp - couldn't ask for better food! Brian, the bartender, was friendly and helpful! He made the atmosphere fun. Will definitely be back when we come through Rockport again!

It's our first time visiting the Rockport beach. This is a very cute small town, about one hour away from Boston. We are here early morning and needed to find a place for lunch. Overall, amazing view of the ocean and great seafood! I am surprised that we really enjoyed the fried clams. Huge portions of all plates! Really love the local vibe of the place and excellent spot for the ocean view. The waiter was great too.

The table views are beautiful! Large open space. Big bar. I had the clam chowder and haddock sandwich. Both solid. My wife had the haddock and potato with green beans. She is GF DF. They were accommodating but not many options if you have food allergies. Not even vegan butter. Service was decent. Friendly but a bit understaffed. Not unusual especially at the start of the season. Good beer and drink selection. Overall I can def recommend.

I'm losing my mind over the lobster scampi. It was so delicious. My husband got the lobster Mac n cheese which was also amazing. Our server was so friendly & on it. She was busy and never showed it. We sat near a window but there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The large windows gave everyone a beautiful view.

The view is extremely beautiful and the staff is really nice. We had a 30 minute wait at around 3pm. The staff collects your phone number and texts you when the table is ready do you do not need to wait in the restaurant. The food was ok. The fried scallops were not crunchy. It felt like we were just eating plain scallops. The baked haddock was not bad but a bit plain. The clam chowder was delicious. You could see chunks of fresh veggies in there and felt very homemade.

Average everything. Lobster roll was good but the clam chowder was average. Stuffed clams were average. Servers were nice though. View is nice. Priced for the location not the quality of food.

    Half a martini for $15

The place was packed for a cool Sunday at 2:30 in March. Most of Rockport is still closed until spring but there were a good amount of tourists walking around. It's very casual inside and some seating has ocean views. We sat at the bar (no views). Service was spotty. The bartender came over as soon as we sat but we hadn't seen any drink or food menus so we were not ready to order. He was also leaving the bar to wait tables so apparently they were shorthanded. My date had the coconut shrimp with fries and coleslaw. He said the shrimp were very good but the fries were frozen battered which are awful. Would have made a huge impact to have fresh hand cut fries. I had the baked scallop special. There were alot of fresh plump scallops prepared well with alot of buttery ritz crumbs. I ordered 2 sides that were both up charged: a small garden salad was $3 and onion rings were $5. I can't understand why the up charges were so high, onions are not expensive or difficult to prepare! They were average/good but I wouldn't pay this again for onion rings. The salad was also not worth $3 extra. Prices were fair, scallops were $29 but after the additional charges ended up at $37. The drinks were a little expensive at $15 for a martini that was average and didn't fill the glass. There are some very good dining options in Rockport. While I would possibly go back here I might try elsewhere next time.

Our hostess Daphne and bar tender Jami made us feel right at home quickly arranging seats at the bar on a busy Saturday night. Our high spirits were matched by Jami who was kind, super efficient and friendly. I ordered their famous chowder on Jami's recommendation and loved every bite of it. I chose the sea bass on a bed of spinach and garlic mashed potatoes as did the rest of our group with the exception of one lobster ravioli. All our meals were fabulous! Total clean plate club that night. For dessert I had the creme brûlée in the classic preparation as light as air with a crackly caramel crust and perfect vanilla custard. There was no mignette sauce, which bummed my husband, but there was lemon and cocktail sauce if thats your oyster jam. The Stuffed clams need a better PR person. They have tables in the back & to get there, you have to walk through this tiny alley way. Note: not many tables available. Be prepared to possibly share a table with others! Here's what we ordered from our visit: - boiled lobsters 1 1/4 lb (2)-- $18/ea - clam chowder (4)-- $7/ea - smoked salmon --$8 - hot lobster roll-- $32 - stuffed clam (2)--$3/ea - Coca Cola We decided to get the 1lb1/4 boiled lobsters. It was $18/each and we got two of them. Looking back, we probably should've just gotten the 3/$50 deal but it's okay. This comes with melted butter on the side. Lobsters were fresh & easy to eat. No complaints here. My favorite was the clam chowder! It had the perfect consistency, not runny & not too thick. It was also pretty flavorful! The only thing I would've liked to add is a little salt but other than that, very good. I'm a lover of New England Clam Chowder & this was exactly what I was looking for! Now, as for the smoked salmon, I would not order this again. I don't really know how to feel about this to be honest but it just was not my cup of tea. I like baked salmon, broiled salmon, and fried salmon, but I did not like this. Very dry & bland. I personally had the hot lobster roll, which was sautéed in butter. Not bad overall. It was not the best hot lobster roll I've had but it was serviceable. I didn't expect it to be so tiny haha. Seems like lobster rolls in general have shrunk. For the price & the size, it's not bad. I've had $50 lobster rolls that were the same size and less enjoyable, so I guess I can consider this one a win! I think next time, I will opt for a boiled lobster instead. Lastly, the stuffed clams were all right. They were okay; more stuffing than clams. The food also wasn't very hot, just warm cold. Overall, not a bad spot to hit up for some fresh seafood. Prices aren't too bad & the food is definitely fresh!
