I would describe it as having a complex flavor profile with something vanilla like. The 2 other beers I tried were ok, good, not great. I'm mostly sugar free on the weekdays, minus the sugar I use in cooking so the sodas were way too sweet for my very personal taste. I liked the maple root beer the best. Food: The pretzel is gigantic, so fun & great for sharing. Extremely delicious. Pillowly goodness with mustard dip & cheese dip, both yummy. Service: Great tour, great bartender & service. The wings were good, but I wasn't overly impressed. Obviously it's a brewery, so they're going to be more known for their beer than their food. Both the pretzel and the wings were a good lunch for my boyfriend and I to share (but a bit much like I mentioned!). There were lots of people of all ages there to do the tour. At times a bit of a challenge to partake in a single standing leg yoga pose while puppies are nipping at the seam of my socks. At one point, 3 puppies decided to tag team me as I laid flat on my yoga mat. As I attempted to create a calming pose and center myself...the puppies decided they had other plans for me. My hair bun became undone by a puppy tug as I simultaneously almost lost a pearl earring to another puppy. As I laid flat, I gently pulled one of the puppies onto my chest for cuddles and I received a kiss. They had great fun with playing tug of war with my yoga towel. There was a photographer capturing candid shots of us with the puppies. We were offered assistance with taking pictures on our phones. A few of us were handed puppies by one of the puppy assistants. The staff was great with sanitizing any spills from the puppies. Toward the end of the session, I noticed the puppies tired themselves out and were being cradled by a few attendees. Even though the Villa Terrace is an art museum, the real superstar here is the Villa/property. It's an exquisite time capsule of a place. And the views of Lake Michigan are the cherry on top. Your entrance ticket grants you access to both floors, the courtyard, the outside terrace and the grounds that you can walk down. There's small art exhibits that get rotated out every few months and plenty of community events including yoga, sound baths and a cafe in the warmer months. This place also moonlights as a wedding venue (in case you're about to tie the knot!) Entrance is $15 pp but there are free days offered throughout the year including during Milwaukee's annual museum days. And if you have a Milwaukee County library card you can checkout a pass for Terrace Villa which is how we got to experience this hidden gem.
