Christina was like a seasoned PRO, foiling me up in record time, washed, toned, conditioned AND even fit in adding bangs to my look.... IN AN HOUR and a HALF! :-0 I was completely speechless! I couldn't believe my hair! Soft, straight, ashy light brown n soft blondes perfectly blended in with my medium brown hair. I grinned so hard all the way home cheeks hurt! Christina is kind, personable, warm, trendy, professional, fast as hell and so reasonably priced. I finally feel I can trust again in my hair relationship! You're required to agree to their cancellation policy, which is basically a nice way of threatening you with a 50% charge if you don't cancel before a certain time. I thought this was a bit excessive but I was confidant I could make my appointment and ultimately didn't have a problem with providing my credit card info. After booking my appointment, you're subsequently bombarded with texts and emails (I counted 6 total) about your appointment times, asking you to respond and confirm you're still going and then appointment reminders leading up to the day and time. (These people are serious about you showing up!) My appointment was at 11:00am. I received a call from my stylist at 9:45am (the day of!!) telling me she works two jobs and they booked her for the HairM job on the wrong day and had to cancel my appointment. I was left scrambling to try and find a haircut before leaving town. Pretty disappointing experience for a service I never got to experience....

We are SO excited to have found Suzie! My daughter has somewhat challenging hair when it comes to texture and curls and Suzie did a wonderful job with her cut. I never have time to actually get my hair cut and she did a great job on mine too! The package of kid + adult hair cut was so convenient. Her salon space is welcoming for kids with toys and games and a comfy chair for adults. My kiddo was overjoyed at the idea that she could play a video game or watch a show while getting her hair cut. I paid the 50% deposit on each appointment in good faith. Several days before the appointments, I attempted to communicate with this braider via her website and via email (no telephone number was available anywhere). She did not respond. Her website stated that deposits were intended to prevent no shows, and that a client who changed their mind would need to cancel 24 hours in advance. So, with no evidence that this braider even existed or that she would be available for the appointments as scheduled, I cancelled both appointments 48 hours in advance. I sent a message to inquire about when I would be refunded the deposits. She gave no answer. But, lo and behold...when I challenged the charges through my bank... she appeared! Her policy, apparently, is that no one gets their 50% deposit back, even if they cancel within the 24 hour window. That's foul. If I'd seen that small print, I would certainly not have put down deposits on those appointments. In the end, this person collected cash from me without provision of ANY services. If you're looking for a braider, this one may or may not be great at braiding...but she's excellent at stealing your money. Beware.

Reading her reviews got me excited, and during our consultation, she explained her enzyme-based lifting process that avoids bleach and keeps hair health intact. She took the time to deeply analyze my hair, and set aside extra time during the appointment to adjust as she went since she was undoing months of box color and old faded highlights. Micha gave me a beautiful, lived-in, blended cinnamon chocolate balayage specifically designed to grow out naturally so I wouldn't need touch-ups every few months. She also did a dry cut using unique techniques I loved. In terms of final styling, I love a full bouncy, smooth blowout with a round brush, and am particular about the technique (needs to be sectioned out fully with each section pulled with a lot of heat and tension), so I did end up restyling it at home to my own liking, but that's just me. What she created with my color and cut though was exactly what I wanted. Beyond her skill, Micha is a true creative, full of spunk and confidence with the wildest stories.
