Been sick for the past week, feeling a little better and hungry I decided to find some food. My order: Hot and Sour soup ( large bowl) Egg Flower soup (simple but very flavorful) Lunch Special: Kang Pao Chicken if you like a little spice it's so good. Sweet and Sour Pork crispy and flavorful It's hard to find a good restaurant that actually cooks the food to order and it is not sitting under lamps or a warming tray. We picked up from here on a Tuesday night. The food was ready when we arrived. When you walk in, you'll feel like you're in a store - from shoes to toys, to mittens, scarves, and masks. They set up a shop since it's take out/delivery only during covid. Ordered Mongolian beef, pan fried noodles deluxe, egg fried rice, and orange chicken. Service was good our waiter spoke little English but was funny and very professional and was very happy serving people. Next the food was decent big portion sizes served for a good rounded price for dinner. Personally my favorite dish that night I consumed was the chow mein and the beef and broccoli. Also I enjoyed the pot stickers they were very yummy. Overall I had an enjoyable time there and would recommend others to try it out. I ordered the House chow Mein for lunch. It was absolutely flavorless and spiceless. The noodles tastes more like spaghetti instead of the the thick and chewy Chinese noodles I expected. The portion size was large to fill you up--- but there was nothing szechwan about the flavors. I expected Spicier from szechwan cooking. The price was super cheap for $9.50. And that was after adding extra chicken. I Personally believe that chow mein is a basic staple food. If you can't do that well, then your doing something wrong. read more

First time here, looking for a tasty Chinese restaurant in this area. The service was fast and the food was very freshly made. The temperature of the food was hot. The soup, egg roll were fresh. If you're in Lancaster, then this is a great place with reasonable prices and great food. This is our go to as it seems no one in Lancaster can get it right but these people do. I don't know if they're open inside for seating because we always get takeout. Hands down, one of the best, if not the best Chinese Restuarant in the AV. For those of you who have lived in the AV for a long time, this use to be Ming's Garden. They closed and LIttle Szechwan opened. Somehow the owners know each other. The prices are very reasonable compared to fast food and have a wide variety of dishes to satisfy any appetite. Open 7 days/week, lunch is 11am--3pm and dinner is 4--9 pm (call in case it's a slow night and they close a little early). My spouse discovered this place and has started lunching there with friends. I got fed up with him TELLING me about the place and so last night he finally TOOK me there for half a dinner :). We had actually grazed elsewhere for soup and salad and then crossed the street to this restaurant to finish off our meal. I know that sounds crazy, but it's also sort of fun to do that once in a while ... eat your favorite items at one place, and then additional favorite dishes at another restaurant. Anyway, we sauntered in to an empty restaurant (obviously not many people have discovered it yet) and sat in a booth. (You have a choice of the old red booths on one side, or newer wood-looking booth setups on the other side ... the latter looks as if it has lots more room for larger-sized diners if any of you fall into that category.) We ordered the two items Mr. Picky always orders there ... the Shrimp appetizer which consists of eight fried shrimp for $5, and the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. I asked for a side of white rice as I love the way rice soaks up lobster sauce. Anyway, we quite enjoyed ourselves. The Shrimp in Lobster Sauce was a gentle, light, subtle-flavored dish and it almost surprised me how much we enjoyed it given that we're usually in search of intense flavors. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, succulent and a really nice bite. One of the things I appreciate is that they don't use MSG. I don't know about you, but I can always tell when a Chinese restaurant has lied to me about their use of MSG as I find myself gulping gallons of water to deal with the thirst it creates. No thirst problems here at Little Szechwan. The restaurant has been here for a year, but we only just discovered it (the location is the old Ming's Chinese that was there for decades). Tom Chang and his partner are obviously struggling to stay in business, but I say that you'd feel good supporting this place to help them grow and keep the business there if the food is as good as what I experienced last night, Note: I couldn't enter all the days/hours correctly, so just know it's currently open 7 days a week from 11--3 and 4--10. read more

I really like this spot. I think it's the best mom and pop Chinese spot for the AV... notice that I put, "for the AV." It's not fast food but I notice they have been really fast with orders since dining is closed. Before, you had to wait a while; they always seemed short staffed. Here's what my family likes: - Sweet and sour pork (I always get this) - Sizzling rice soup (a must every time too) - Fried rice - Chow mien - Beef broccoli - My mom in law likes the cashew chicken (I don't really like cashews that much) - My kids like the orange chicken (I just grub down on sweet and sour pork for my main entree) Oh, and they have like a store in there. My parents and I often used to take great joy in going to Little Szechuan. We've eaten here for several years now. The customer service is decent and the food is authentic and very succulent generally speaking. However, our latest time eating from here was on 9-12-20--and the food was not too great. Our order consisted of orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, house fried rice, and house chow mein (came with very little meat). The orange and sweet and sour chicken tasted too dry and tough; and the hot mustard was mild and not hot. We were very disappointed. I also feel that most of the food items are overpriced considering how small the serving-sizes are (the $13.95 for one family-style serving size of Orange Chicken is hardly enough to fill one person). Little Szechwan is overall a decent Chinese cuisine, but it was much better years ago than it is today. My family and I will never go back there again! read more

Food is good made fresh when you order. They deliver but the last couple times I ordered delivery items were missing. Not sure if delivery driver took my food or if item was just left out. I called and complained and they said they will make it right on my next order. Like send my combination fried rice, and my kung pow chicken. I don't want it in my next order. Unfortunately after giving a 5 star review, I now need to post a new review. First, I always call and place my order. That way I can pull up, go inside, pay, get my food, and leave. However, lately the food is never ready when they say it would be so I end up waiting for 10 minutes or so. So calling and placing the order is sort of pointless at this point. Second, they cut their portion sizes in half. But of course they didn't cut their prices in half. So now you're paying twice as much for the same amount of food. Third, I'm very particular about my food. Especially if I'm paying for someone else to make it for me. I'll gladly request that certain ingredients are left out. Lately, it's hit or miss if it's actually made the way that I want it. Finally, we come to tonight. While there the cook who was processing my payment, he noticed that there was no paper in the machine. So he ran my card again and again. While I was at the location, I checked my account and saw that two payments had already gone through. AND HE WAS STILL RUNNING MY CARD!!! He kept running my card until I demanded it back. When I got home, I had six charges for my food. So for $30 worth of food, I paid $180 so far. Not to mention that I now need to report the fraudulent activity on my card, which the bank will cancel, and want to send me a new one, so I'll be out of access to cash for around a week. The meal left a lot of be desired. I have never been to a chinese restaurant that the fried rice had zero vegetables or anything in it. It was just fried rice. The egg roll was super thin not like a typical thick egg roll. The sweet and sour pork was very tough and chewy. The amount of food was on the small side. Sadly not going to return. read more

We like coming to this restaurant because the food is good, the service is great, the prices are reasonable. We have had a great experience here. I have ordered different plates, but my favorite is a cashew chicken. They have excellent die. The jasmine tea is great. But the one thing my husband and I love here is the fried rice. read more
