    Scones and Navajo taco
    Josh B.

Was on a roadtrip when my friend mentioned utah scones. Intrigued we searched for places that sold it and, lo and behold, found this place. Walking inside it definitely was homely and the staff were extremely nice. We were able to get the scones along with Navajo tacos. The scones were great. The dough was fried, giving a crispy exterior, with a tender inside. It was dusted with powdered sugar and came with a butter sauce. The navajo tacos were also good, the chili that came on top was flavorful; Pretty sure they used the same dough as the scones. Definitely grab the scones if youre around the area

Honey Butter to go with the scones

Another roadtrip, another small town cafe! The Little Wonder Cafe is situated right on Main Street in Richfield and has an extremely charming home-style ambience. We ordered burgers and their "scones", which were somewhere between a beignet and a funnel cake. The pineapple burger was juicy, but the patty lacked flavor. The scones came with honey butter and were quite delicious and a nice treat. Brought memories from visiting Grandma's. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Would come again if in the area.

A small town gem of a cafe! We were quickly seated and ordering was fast on a busy Saturday morning. The chicken fried steak, hash browns and eggs entree was delectable with fresh biscuit and gravy. Coffee was strong and tasty.

We shared a club sandwich and cold slaw. The sandwich was so big we nearly didn't finish it. The slaw is the best I've ever had! The decor is so cute. I'm glad we didn't pass this by. We only come to Richfield once sometime twice a year. Our server was very personable and fast. The ambiance was casual but busy. Great place for lunch!

Food was just okay. One of us had the Grown-up Grilled Cheese -- made correctly but not really grilled (cheese was not melted; good fries. The other had Soup & Sandwich Combo -- soup was only warm and had been cooking all day, I guess , as pasta was mush. Half turkey sandwich was okay -- prepared incorrectly to start. Lovely server who was kind and personable with everyone in the restaurant. Ambiance is a downtown Main Street coffee shop.

We were just passing through on a roadtrip and so glad we stopped! Cute, quirky mom and pop joint with fast service and great food! I had the chicken fried steak which was to die for and the boyfriend had pancakes, eggs and bacon he liked his too. Our server was lovely as well. Would definitely recommend if you're driving through and looking at spots to stop at!

    Something from the liter side.

Great place for breakfast. They seem to have a lot of regulars, but the food and service was great for tourists, too!

It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. Not a bad place for a rest stop or a reasonable local hang out as well with some decent food.

The cheesesteak was alright. It was nothing to complain about or write home about. The jojo fries were kinda undercooked but good and seemed homemade almost. Attentive service, not overbearing. A lot of locals since Richfield isn't exactly a destination but you'll get the same treatment and be just as welcome.

We are a little hoity-toity though: For my tri-tip 10 oz., it came out nicely spiced, medium rare as specified, but cut with the grain, not across it (which would have made it much more tender). No char / Maillard reaction on the outside. My spouse ordered blackened salmon, which again was spiced fine, but was not blackened at all. She also had a glass of "Merlot" wine, which was red, and had traces of alcohol in it. We arrived on July 24th, Utah's Founder's Day. The place was packed but we were seated right away by the hostess who had a sense of humor - nice!

Since they are a franchise they are not identical, and each one seems to play off the local identity and try to have decor that aligns with the area as well as the bear themed stuff. They have a small gift area, not overwhelming but a few branded items and typical touristy stuff. It's cute and seems to be well made stuff. Food - Oh yea, there's food! They have a really extensive menu and breakfast is served all day. My only regret is I love tri-tip and they have it on the menu but each time I was at a Black Bear they had run out. Admittedly we had arrived very late and I'll assume it's both good and popular since all three had run out. It's worth noting that for breakfast, they have real link sausage as well as other options and the sausage is nothing that grocery store skinless junk most places serve today. I was glad to see they had good quality thick bacon as well as several sausage choices for breakfast.

I told her it was a first date and I was aiming to make it count. She didn't hide behind policy; she leaned in and helped me anyway. She went the extra mile and noted a table near the fireplace. That kind of touch means something. It's rare to find someone who helps set the stage for your evening before you even walk through the door. Laynee, you made a cowboy believe in smooth first dates again. If the steaks and service inside match the care you showed on that call, Steve's is doing things right... and I just might have a shot at that second date. Thank you.

The adult plate for the steak ends turned out to be as small as the kid's serving. We ordered "seasoned vegetables" as a side and it turns out that's just heated green beans probably from a can. The fruit side for the kids was also just canned mandarin wedges. The kicker is the entitlement to a 20% tip and the false claim that it was somehow a new mandated minimum, almost alluding or implying that it was a law or regulation. I tipped the 20% because I felt pressured to do so, which I regret. I usually tip 20% if service is good since I had friends and family in the restaurant service industry. But not being given an option and the entitlement mindset is off putting. Building is nice though...
