Excellent food and service with 26 people hitting them at once this place never fails to impress

You know when you walk in to a small town restaurant and every head turns in the direction of the door to check you out? That's exactly what happened here when my partner and I walked in to get lunch. I chuckled a little and remembered what it used to be like when I lived in a small town. The two young ladies that were running the place were friendly; especially with the regulars-one was standing next to a table chatting for several minutes while we were waiting for our ticket. There was a large group on the outside patio and we noticed that they were getting their order two plates at a time-every five or so minutes. I assume the restaurant doesn't have a large enough grill for more than a couple burgers at once? Unfortunately, our order was placed after theirs so we had to wait even longer. The food was really good once we received it. We both devoured our burgers and fries. Knowing that the wait time might be a bit, I'll keep that in mind if I'm driving through town in the future. read more

We were tired after a long day that started in Moab, a full day capitol reef national park, and a journey that ends at Bryce Canyon City. Red clover cafe was like a lighthouse in the dark as the road leading up to here was quite dark but the lights outside were like beacons of light drawing a moth. The burgers here were great and it was about a 45 min drive past Torrey to get here. The server was really nice and this seems like a small family run business. Definitely would recommend on the drive from Capitol reef down to Bryce Canyon city. We tried 2 different burgers: 1) 5/5 - Twisted mushroom burger (wagyu patty, bacon, American cheese, mushrooms, and we subbed the bleu cheese aioli for the bbq aioli). 2) 5/5 - Utah Slammer ( Wagyu patty, pastrami, and grilled onions) Both burgers were very juicy and tasted great. My wife preferred the twisted mushroom and I preferred the Utah slammer (it's a mountain of meat). Onion rings were okay and the sweet potato fries were nicely crisped. Definitely worth stopping by! read more

what an unexpected find! we had just finished a long day at capitol reef and were on our way to bryce canyon and stumbled upon this gem due to its location and raving reviews. it's basically the only thing open on a long dark road but don't be fooled, you will leave satisfied and full! - twisted mushroom burger was so delicious! i subbed out the bleu cheese aioli for bbq aioli which really tied the dish together. their sweet potato fries were on the overdone side since they're a bit thinner, i prefer them crispy outside but soft inside. - utah slammer is great if you're a meat lover, it was a bit much for me but my husband really liked it. onion rings are delicious but they definitely are seeped in oil. super friendly server, decently fast service. would definitely stop by again if we were passing through the area and in need of food. read more

Had a Plain Jane cheeseburger with onion rings. The service was fast and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had, do not pass up an opportunity to stop for those onion rings!! My only critique was that they don't ask how you want the burger cooked. read more

We stopped here not knowing what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised! We all had the Western burgers and they were perfect!! Delicious and fresh and the fries were excellent. The service was great and the staff was so friendly! We highly recommend if you're anywhere near to make a point to stop there. We took a detour to explore PANDO (side note: so epic in the fall) and lost track of time. Once we got back to our car it was 6:30pm. We were HUNGRY and bordering on low blood sugar with nearly 3 hours left to our drive. We needed food STAT. To our dismay, it looked as though the small towns along our route had few restaurants to offer, much less those open after 7pm on a weekday. We were about to accept our fate when a big, vertical banner, waving in the wind, caught our attention. The word on the banner said : DINNER. "Stop the car!" I told my husband, "Let's check that place out." We pulled up to the cute cafe and were greeted by the SWEETEST server. She let us choose our table and, with a contagiously bubbly demeanor, took our order. Even in my weakened, hangry state, I couldn't help but smile. In terms of gluten free options, I wasn't expecting much. The town is very small. Blink and you might just miss it. But, lo and behold, they had a gf bun for my burger! We are off to a good start. My side salad arrived and - sit down for this - was made with FRESH, BEAUTIFUL greens and a homemade ranch dressing. Yum. Our burgers came out shortly afterwards. Nothing could have prepared us for their towering beauty. First bite impression from my husband: "DELICIOUS." My first bite, mouthful, impression sounded like this: "MMRRGD, erhm ser mgood." I don't remember pausing for a single breath. The food, flavors, textures, all swirling around me, filling my mouth and stomach with LOVE. We didn't have room for another bite, but ordered dessert to go. Our lovely server told us they were homemade and, like gluttons, we couldn't help ourselves. Dear food seekers: Please, please, do something nice for yourself and patronize this amazing *newly opened* business. Classic American diner with a lot of great twists. Huge burgers--don't order a double patty on a whim, it makes for a HUGE burger. Great flavor, good toppings. I'm told that the chicken sandwich was also excellent. Great onion rings and sweet potato fries. The rings were thickly battered without being doughy, and the sweet potato fries were crisp and waffle-cut, which is better for achieving a good fry-to-sauce ratio. Immense shakes. Seriously huge! Even the way they make the regular chocolate shake shows they are serious about their food. Service was excellent. Mask-wearing and outdoor seating well-supported. A good food place in what seems like the middle of nowhere. We were driving from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef and stopped here based on other reviews. I had the beet and goat cheese salad which was great. The wife had the Southwest salad which was also great. The kids really liked their meals also. The only downside was the service. I got my salad about 10 minutes ahead of everyone else's salads and meals. Also, the bathroom didn't have toilet paper. We let the waitress know. She said she would put some in there. The kids went to check before leaving and there still wasn't any there. read more

Imagine our surprise when we drove past a couple of small towns and saw this gem. It is a cozy place to stop and have a snake or lunch. The food is good. I love the sweet potato waffle fries. This place is a red lucky 4-leafed clover! After a long day through Capitol Reef on our way to Zion, we were lucky enough to stumble upon this amazing place. There was plenty of seating, with a very cute and clean interior. We were greeted upon entry and our experiences with the staff were amazing! The 2 girls who helped us (Alexis and Allison maybe?) were so kind and gave us great tips on the area. Most importantly, the food was incredible! It was so fresh and satisfying. Their drink menu offered an extensive array of soda customizations which was so fun. I recommend the Sasquatch! I ordered a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it surpassed expectations, especially with a side of crispy fries. We started with the mozzarella sticks -- picture is down 2 of them (we couldn't wait) and ended with full bellies and a great experience. Cannot recommend this place enough! read more

We were on our way back from Capitol Reef National Park and wanted to get away from the park before stopping for food. Clean and inviting indoor environment and was greeted with ice cold water. Perfect after a day out hiking in the sun. Ordered a bun-less blu burger add a patty with a side salad. Food came out quick and was all fresh and delicious. Wife ordered a patty melt with fries. Stopped by on our way to Bryce Canyon from Arches National Park. We just happened to see a street sign for the Cafe and decided to grab a bite and we're glad we did. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy and waffle fries at that. We love waffle fries. The strawberry poppy seed salad was unbelievably satisfying. They offer a strawberry poppyseed dressing, and I even asked to take one for the road to add to whatever I eat next. While my friend and I don't eat beef, we could appreciate the delicious smell of it coming from the kitchen and the patrons around us. If I could eat beef I definitely would have wanted to try one of the delicious looking burgers. The place is spacious, well lit, and clean. I love the large windows and all of the natural light. Our server was super kind as well. We appreciated the service. Lastly - they use the small chewing ice! The best kind of ice life can offer. The best burgers! I travel through the area regularly and if time allows I make sure to grab a burger and side salad at the Red Clover. The Wagyu burgers (especially the blue cheese burger) are delicious. I always skip the fries and pair it with a side salad which is always fresh and is made of a nice spring mix. I also grab an Oreo shake to go. Great food and friendly staff! They also employ and train kids from the local community, which is a plus! read more

We were passing through and stopped at Red Clover for lunch. We were so glad we did! Super welcoming staff and seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered a bacon blue with fries. The wagyu beef was top notch and the blue cheese aioli made it almost like a wedge salad on a burger - yum! I can tell the cook made it with care, too.
