Before I even got back to the room, they wanted me to take a bunch of x-rays while standing up. I refused and said I wanted to speak to the Dentist first. He would not accept x-rays from another dentist. I told him upfront That I was sensitive to unnecessary x-rays due to a history of thyroid cancer. I was OK with necessary ones. Then he told me that he did not want to help me as a patient. He suggested I go see a specialist. I was previously told that he was the specialist for implants. His response was no I'm just a General Dentist. And I told him I still needed a General Dentist as well - he did not want to take me as a routine dentistry patient either. As I was leaving the front desk told me they would be submitting a claim to Delta dental when I asked what for?? I was told well he 'kind of' gave you a consultation. Kind of who bills for kind of services?? I called Delta dental and told them what had happened, and was advised that this was not a consultation she'd never heard of something like this before.

When I arrived, I asked the front desk to verify my insurance and schedule an appointment for Thursday 1/22/26. The front desk staff refused to verify my insurance and said they would "do it on Thursday." At the time, there were no other patients in the office, and part of the office lights were turned off, so they were clearly not busy. I still left a copy of my information and insurance card and was told it would be handled later. Today, Wednesday 1/21/26, the front desk called me and told me I needed to contact my insurance myself. Since verifying insurance is a basic part of scheduling, I canceled the appointment. I'm not looking for an apology -- I'm writing this so future patients know what to expect. This was the least helpful front desk experience I've ever had at a dental office.
