Tried this place because it was the new place in town and personally I don't care for any of the Chinese restaurants here in town. Went to dinner with my husband, father-in-law and son. We were greeted and seated promptly when we walked in. The menu provided many choices all of which seemed really good to chose from we decided on the dinner for 4. This included broccoli beef, sweet n sour pork, almond chicken pork chop mein, pork fried frice also an appetizer and egg flower soup for all 4 of us, dinner for 4 was $32 and it was definitely worth the price. I was pleased with the food here and the service was good. I still have my favorite go to place but if I don't feel like making the drive I know that there is now a decent Chinese restaurant here in town. read more

They have great prices and better plate servings. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. I have been here two times. Once for carry out and agin for dine in. The first time I order 3 lunch special for carryout. The bill was less then $25.00.l and took less than 20 minutes to make. We got a form plate with large serving of food. The food was hot and fresh. The food was basic, in the sense that it didn't have additives or that garbage. The only thing is with carryout and the lunch special, you don't get the soup. The second time I dine in with a friend. Once again we got a nice plate of food and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was clean and pleasing to the eye. They were quick with the food and there wasn't a large wait time. Owner used to own Hong Kong, and I remember coming to this location when it was a chinese restaurant as a kid. Very glad the owner is back and was able to renovate this location. I'm officially not eating here anymore. Every time I try to place an order they NEVER answer their phone so I wait an extra 10-15 minutes to call back and the line is busy. So I keep trying for ANOTHER 10 minutes to get ahold of someone and the line is busy the WHOLE TIME. They have to be leaving their phone off the hook because their is no way their line is busy for 20-30 minutes straight. The food is good but not worth this bad customer service. read more

Tonight was our first visit to Liu's Village and we will definitely be going back again. The restaurant was clean and the service was as good as we could ask for. We arrived at 5:45 on a Friday and by the time we left an hour later, the place was packed. Our food was served in a timely manner and was excellent in our opinion. Best American style Chinese food anywhere. My kids who have moved from Madera years ago have to eat here when they are in town. (Formerly owned and operated Hong Kong in the Country Club shopping center for many years , so if the food tastes familiar that may be why!) Daughter lives in a big city and still says this is her favorite. Every dish tastes fresh, well balanced seasoning, crisp vegetables. On cold days the Village Noodle soup is my go to with less noodles and extra veggies, or the spicy chicken with steamed rice which has dark meat chicken full of flavor, onion, bell pepper, zucchini, carrots and black bean sauce spiked with dried red chili. They have always been open to customizing my orders to my preference. Pork chow mein has lots of bbq pork sliced into bite sized strips, bean sprouts are crisp. Entrees are large enough to split especially if you have a cup of soup but we usually order two and stuff ourselves. read more
