Wonderful experience at live blow dry!! I had my hair and makeup done by Kathleen and she did an amazing job! I feel like a super star. I got my hair and makup done for my engagement photos and she listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. I told her I wanted to look pretty but like a pretty version of me, not too crazy. And I'm so happy with the result. The makeup process was very hygienic as well. She used new tips and made sure not to double dip on things like lipstick and mascara. Things have changed here. It feels different not to much in a good way, but at least they still have some familiar faces, and my favorite stylist Evelyn. (The one that use to be front desk. I know theres two Evelyn's there) She makes me feel important. She does a fantastic job on my hair. It feels good to know you can sit in her chair and know your going to walk out happy with your service. Best scalp massage!!! Shes sweet and kind. She is just the best. Went there once and promised myself I wouldn't go back EVER and I haven't I was in a hurry as I had a company visit and decided to check it out, the place wasn't busy and they had open chairs and no one coming in, but I guess since I'm not a regular they treated me like garbage, I didn't have an appointment I understand but they took their time to help me, made me wait even though they were not busy and claimed they were waiting for their appointments after 30 minutes they decided that someone could help me I guess they could tell I wasn't going away until I got my hair done, then I heard about a program they have where you get discounts the more you go, mind you I blow dry my hair every week and I could have been a regular have they treated me nice. I go to the other salon on the same shopping center, they're much nicer and even though they don't have discounts I rather pay than go back to this place, and their blow drying sucks my hair looked really bad after a couple of hours. Made an booking for a 7am mobile appointment as I had a photo shoot and was on a very tight schedule. Day of my appointment I wet my hair as instructed so it would be ready to blow dry when beautician arrived. At 7:15 I was still waiting and when I called the salon they told me the girl booking the appointment accidentally made my appointment for in the salon instead of a mobile appointment. I now had my hair wet (b/c they told me to do that) and had to scramble to dry it as best I could to get to my photo shoot on time. Photos were ruined as my hair looked awful. There is NO excuse for this type of mistake. When confirming appointments via text this company should specify if the appointment is in salon or mobile. If they did this I could have caught their employees mistake and fixed it. Manager I spoke to haphazardly apologized and didn't even offer anything for this huge mistake. Now my priceless photos are forever ruined because of their incompetence. If you have an important event to go to and are looking for a mobile service, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. read more

This review's been a long time coming, as this is one of my favorite Blowdry Bars in Miami. There may be other salons that specialize in vegan hair products, but I haven't heard of them. I used to not care about whether my hair products were vegan (I figured it was a "green" gimmick) but as someone with very finicky Latina hair, their Davines line has done wonders on my hair. Their stylists are fine, but if you can, try to book an appointment with the owner Katie. Whether it's a regular blowdry or a formal updo for a special occasion, she really cares about doing a good job. During my first visit she asked me about my hair concerns and history - the kind of special treatment I wouldn't expect at a typical blowbar. It's like having a stylist as your best girlfriend, because that's the vibe she gives off. Her work ethic and demeanor are something for stylists to strive for. If you're in the area and need to refresh your blowout, give Live Blow Dry a go. You'll probably add it to your favorite spots, too. read more

I have been going to a different blow dry bar for years now, but wanted something closer to my house. I had event on a Saturday night, and even though I had to book a 3pm appointment for a 7pm event because it was busy (which was a good signs), I am SO happy I booked with Aniela! She was extremely sweet, professional, and gave me perfect beach waves that lasted late into the night. Tons of compliments. I visited Live Blow Dry last week for the first time and this place is a gem! First, I arrived 20 minutes late and they were so gracious about it. I had Daniella and she is FANTASTIC. Her scalp massage is just as good as her blow out! I`m very picky about my frizzy, thick, curly hair, which no one seems to get perfect--- but Daniella nailed it! I've been coming to Live Blow Dry since it opened. I have never been disappointed. I do have to mention the treatment I got on my birthday. First my hairdresser Evelyn L came on her day off just to do my hair and when I got to the salon she had a cake waiting for me. I was so touched by this. On several occasions , I've seen her help out the front desk when they have been stuck or didn't know how to do something. . She is such a professional. Her work is always consistent too!! Booked an express - service make up the same day and was accommodated within the hour! Upon arrival they offered me water or a mimosa. I waited about 15 minutes till the make up- artist greeted me. She was so nice and took her time making me look my best! My make up lasted all day despite the humid weather. I am very disappointed and not satisfied at all with the blow dry this morning. They sat me in the back of the salon besides the bathroom door. I have been here a few times over the last year and it's always a positive experience. You can make appointments through yelp without having to call or wait for a response- there's always someone available when I need a last minute blow out. When I've needed to reschedule at the last minute they are super accommodating. All that and my hair comes out great when I'm done. Plus I've never waited more than 5minutes to get started. I came here today for a 7AM blow dry because I felt too lazy to do my own hair for the long weekend, lol. All I can say is AWESOME. The girl who did my hair, Jennifer, was so sweet and attentive to what I wanted. I had to be at work by 8:30, and she finished within less than an hour. The man at the front desk (Forgot his name, may be the owner/manager...I think his name is Jay) was so funny and cool. They bring you coffee, champagne, or water per request. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. The products they use smell so good and left my course, dry hair feeling bouncy and silky. I had an overall pleasant experience. The atmosphere and welcoming people make this a fun place to get your hair done. Very good way to start my day. Amazing blow dry! I was a regular at another blow dry salon in Pinecrest but this salon blows them out of the water. Here they respect appointment times and take into consideration what you want to do to your hair in order to account for the time and properly schedule in other clients. I called right when they opened and there was no problem whatsoever. They are a fairly new salon, just opened in November, but they are doing great. Ester is the one who took care of me and she did a great job. There is a room in the back for washing hair which I thought was better than being in the same main area. They have a line of about 8 or so chairs and the decor of the place is very clean and modern which I loved. They have a style book to help you choose what you want or of course you get a regular blow out. They use a line of product called Davines which is a natural line and I got samples of a product and I think I will be purchasing when I return! This is a great little salon, I can't wait to come back. read more
