This review is only about my experience inquiring about engaging their service. Which was a truly awful experience . For example, In response to my complaint that they were more than three hours late for an appointment. I was told that I lack sufficient understanding of service businesses. I think that this company lacks sufficient understanding of how to provide good customer service. By the way, I'm still waiting for that call back first thing in the morning. I'm not big on writing reviews but i have decided it was important for people to hear what others say. I have been dealing with Live Wire over several years! They installed an intercom system throughout my home and then I had them do an alarm system. They were always hands on when I needed them. Calls were returned on a timely basis and I was very pleased. Last year we had a Sonos system installed and loved it so much we bought our children one for their home from them. Recently we bought a sports bar in the city and Robert installed all the TV's and worked all hours to get it to work. Work was neat and dependable! I am very happy with the service I received! Horrible company . Completely Unprofessional. I waited 2 months to get 5 tv installed because they don't work on weekends, they can start a job in the afternoon. They never answer phones. They email but then don't answer at all for a week. Prices way to high for job. I have a hectic schedule and asked if they could do it when not there and verify tv heights before . Not possible. I was told so I get an email not a call to say electrician was quarantine Could not make the install schedule for today. They had no resources To get anyone else They then suggest they could verify height today and do another dad by email. Funny as I asked that months ago and they refused . Robert is absolutely the worst. So unprofessional and passive aggressive. Even though I was working out of state I was able to find someone to come today and do the work . Please do Not do business with this company. you will be overcharged , be inflexible and never return calls or emails . The funny thing is despite This I was able to get all my tvs beautiful installed . The new company was completeLu the opposite. They kept in contact me , were much more professional and courteous and most importantly you can call and text them . For less that half the price .they appreciate their customers.Do your self a favor dont use live wire! I can give you a number to a much more professional organization who treat customers with respect and appreciate their customers! Even one star is too much. The worst security and alarm company ever. I had a longtime company which when we had a problem would respond and come and fix it within a day. They were always in touch. Every time I have a problem, Live Wire takes at least a day or two to even just return a phone call. Getting them to come fix a problem (now my smoke alarm isn't working - it's not a small thing,) has already taken 2 days and I still haven't connected despite leaving multiple messages for multiple people. Asked for a quote from Rob the owner over a month ago and STILL waiting to hear back. I was promised a quote two weeks ago - call their office rolls to voice mail always and by design. No one calls you back - basically their way or no way and no customer follow up whatsoever. Worse service than the DMV, literally! read more

Posted a review previously, but it got removed somehow (not sure if by their request or otherwise). Had them install a wall-mounted tv through to a cabinet behind. I noticed after installation that the power cord was clumsily crammed behind the set, and pretty visible from the side. Asked if there was a way to thread it through the wall to make it less visible. They explained that was against code. Fair enough. As I inspected closer, I realized that the metal mounting bracket only seemed to be attached on one side, but not the other. I called them concerned that it looked unsafe, asked if they'd come inspect, and that I'd be willing to pay for the service call if I was wrong. They told me they remembered me asking about the cord, and accused me of taking things apart myself, and that they are very sure about every installation they do, so they had no intention of doing a house visit for me (I live 5-10 minutes away from their store, btw). They seem to be more interested in deleting and rebutting Yelp reviews than satisfying customers, as I've never seen them get a positive rating. I had them put in an alarm system for my housewarming party, and they were quick and competent throughout the whole procedure. The prices were good and the employees were kind and accommodating. If I have any other needs, I will definitely return. As a bonus, I was able to pick up a quality balloon arrangement for my party. read more

Had them install a multi zone Sonos system. Yes they were inexpensive at first glance but things never really worked. Good luck getting them to come to service. They don't even have the common decency to reply. Really disappointing. Had to have the system redone by professionals. Don't make the same mistake! read more

These guys are wonderful at coming to your home, creating a system that works for you and installing it. After that, all bets are off in terms of service. I have had several issues with my alarm system and it's easier to pull teeth out of your mouth then to get some to respond to your problem. I don't mind if a specific part takes more time than previously anticipated. However, I DO expect a phone call with a status update. I really love supporting local businesses. But If you're looking for a small company that makes you feel that they're on top of things, find someone else. I will definitely be looking for another small business that cares! read more

I don't say this lightly--this was the single WORST retail experience of my life, hands down. Thinking we'd love to support a small, local business, we hired them to set-up audio-video in our family room, kitchen, and back yard. It seemed like a relatively easy, straight-forward job. Well..... 1) The set-up was completely illogical--among other things, music couldn't play outside without also playing in family room (or could mute family room, but that prevented tv or any other audio from working in there). 2) They installed two receivers. One of our receivers broke within 6 moths; we chalked this up to bad luck and replaced it at our full cost. The second one they had initially installed, broke 2 years later; wait, coincidence? Were the items severely refurbished and sold as new? 3) They broke the audio/video wire that already ran behind wall from entertainment system to TV. Just fix it right? Nah, either we'll charge you full price to repair something we damaged or we'll run a loose wire, in plain sight up the wall to your TV "for free" 4) One of our two wired outdoor speakers lost connection and didn't work. ALL OF THIS MIGHT HAVE BEEN TOLERABLE, BUT......when we asked them--just a couple of weeks after they had been at our house--to come repair the non-hardware portion of their work that was already no-longer working, they totally blew us off. And to top it off, when I called to speak to the owner (when I finally got him), he rudely and loudly informed me that in essence no one is perfect and that what I got was what i got, and that he thought I was a "donkey" for calling several times to complain.....and then he hung up. Admittedly I've never used their security services, but I'd take EXTREME caution with this place. read more
