I had a function at Livia's Dish for 77 people (low key wedding reception). First off the food was fantastic. It was all perfectly cooked and they were able to accommodate for our vegan friends. Second the owners were a pleasure to work with. So nice and patient with us seeing as we didn't really know what we were doing. The staff was great, very attentive and very pleasant. It would not be fair to give this restaurant one star especially on a busy day, but it may not deserve any stars with my experience regarding service and cooking. The little bit of food I ate was mixed bag. I ordered the brunch burger rare topped with a runny egg and crispy bacon served with soggy greasy barely heated fries reminding me of frozen food. I ate a few of the fries first before they were completely cold. The burger tasted good but was cooked well done. I guess a fourteen dollar burger should be cooked as ordered, or at least close? When the server asked how the food was and I said it's good but overcooked for my taste. She quickly put an order in to replace my burger against my protest. She said it will be out in a minute or so. 15 minutes later the new burger arrived on a 5 inch plate Where's the hot fries? My dining partner was finished her burger. I was amazed they didn't bring new fries, since the old burger and the already cold fries were inedible. I should of told them this was unacceptable but it was a holiday. I was going to take burger home and make my own fries possibly salvaging this unmemorable meal. I had it wrapped but realizing the raw egg on top could be food poisoning waiting to happen within an hour, since we were a ways from home. I left the wrapped food on the table. When the hostess asked how the food was. I told her I never ate. She said come back when we are not so busy and it will be better. A restaurant should close if they can't tend to the customers in a better way. Maybe I'll try again when you're not so busy. Very doubtful. Why would I go back? In fact after I tell people of my experience. You become the loser. My advise is get one restaurant right before you open another. read more

Simple little spot with some comfort food and breakfast all day. I had the avgolemono soup and the brunch burger and fries. The soup was really mediocre; it was more chicken soup than avgolemono. But the burger was terrific. I asked for medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. It came with an over-medium egg, bacon and cheese, and it all worked well together. The fries weren't bad either. Incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Let me start at the beginning. After getting sat, we weren't asked for drink orders for a good 7 minutes. It's a Sunday, they are busy, ok I get it. Server comes over, I can't hear a word she is saying about specials because it is so uncomfortably loud inside. We are brought water for the table and cups with no ice (a common European thing, fine), but my god the water was revolting. It tasted like I just took a mouthful of like warm pool water that was just shocked. Then we get our coffee. The coffee was so bad that I had to put 4 creams and a sugar in it (where I usually drink coffee black) just to suck it down as fast as possible. So I'm basically still thirsty. Then, we get our food, long wait but again this is fine because it's Sunday and expected. The home fries were the most odd, and bizarre tasting things I've eaten in a long time and were basically just salt. The salad dressing was not dressing - it was just olive oil. Uhm, gross? Maybe another Europe-ism that I don't get? Finally, took forever to get the check and pay from the minimally attentive server. I assume the only reason this place is open and busy is because you can get brunch cocktails. I will absolutely never return or recommend. read more

Went here today for Mother's Day brunch. This was not our first time here but it was first time for brunch, and I have to say it was excellent! All the food was great, service was very good, the owner is a lovely woman, very warm and welcoming, and the best part was the omelet station. Good lord, that was hands down the best omelet I've ever had in my life, no exaggeration. Definitely recommend this place, and we will definitely be back for brunch. read more

This diner was horrible. The glasses and silverware on the table were dirty, not to mention tiny bugs were flying around. My motto is if the dishware is unclean so isn't the food, I took one small bite and it was disgusting. I would never Ever go there again. Don't waste your money. Excellent food, waitstaff was excellent. Had a girl named Meghan which was super friendly. Had the "not your typical Eggs Benedict " or something along that name. It was very good and the home fries were very good. The whole bill (including tax) for coffee and breakfast was $13. If I lived closer I would come often. Just had breakfast with my son there , I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised it was very nice and inviting and bigger than I had thought . I love to go to the diners around the area . I've been looking for something different and this was it the menu has a lot of variety a good change from the ordinary breakfast menus. The restaurant is very nice the staff was friendly. As far as the food , I like variety and they have plenty to choose from. I had there version of eggs Benedict it was excellent and different my son had crepes, we both had empty plates and full bellies when we left and the prices were very reasonable. I have been here a handful of times for breakfast and it is always spot on. On my most recent visit, I had an Italian breakfast bowl that consisted of egg, polenta, veggies and potatos - it was awesome. The not quite eggs benedict with pancetta is also a favorite. I am so glad that I found this place, and I can't wait to go back. We went on a Sunday at 11am and had a short wait to be seated--maybe 10 minutes. There was seating outside and it was a beautiful day. We were seated quickly by a very friendly hostess, and the server showed up right away. It was brunch, so I ordered a mimosa--they have so many kinds! I went for the traditional orange, but was tempted by the mango, peach, and pear. My friend got a Bloody Mary with grey goose--and said is was great. We both got omelettes--and they were perfectly fluffy and filled. I chose fruit instead of potatoes, and i was brought a combo of fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, and strawberry. Delish. The people beside us had the crepes and we couldn't help but ogle--they looked amazing. Overall, we were so pleased with both the food and the service for our Sunday brunch. Perfect! read more

lunch recently, smallish place open for breakfast and lunch and dinner on certain days, very pleasant staff, wife had the grilled veg panini which she loved and a lemon chicken soup but she was being adventuresome and it had cilantro in it so she didn't care for it but i thought it was very good, i had the chicken parm very good and a very generous serving, full but limited bar (ie they had 3 gin choices) but drinks were good and pleasantly presented.. nice spot, the breakfast menu looked excellent. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Worcester. Have been here numerous times for breakfast. I usually get a western omelet in a burrito. They have a unique menu as well. 5$ mimosas you can't go wrong. Have been twice now. Love the atmosphere but parking is tough. Glad they have the guy outside to help, but wish he'd tell people standing around talking in open spots to move (well he shouldn't have to, people shouldn't be so rude.) Food is good. I've had the eggs benedict which was yummy but the potatoes were lacking. This morning I had the Nutella crepes and side of bacon. Crepes were delicious and almost over filled with fruit - and I would have preferred a little Nutella inside. The side of bacon was disappointing, especially for $3.00. I drive by here regularly and finally stopped in for breakfast. It was a snowy morning so there was only one other table when we arrived. The dining room was bright and clean. The waitress brings over a glass carafe of water for the table when she comes to greet you and take your drink order. I ended up getting one of the omelet specials (it was only 5.99!) and was more than happy with it. My only complaint was about the homefries...they are kind of flavorless and a weird orange color. I love homefries and hope they can come up with something with a little more flavor and a little crispier. Overall I was very pleased and will definitely be going back to try out some of the other items on the menu! read more

Well - if you're looking at the Yelp site AND you see a picture of a lamb shank meal and Mediterranean food - fug-ged-aboud-it. It is only breakfast stuff. Good breakfast stuff, but only breakfast stuff. We (a family) came at 12:30 - all the way from northern VT - heart set on the lamb shank meal, but alas, only breakfast was available. It was a good breakfast, but it wasn't no Greek style lamb shank. Oh - and when the guests say no thanks to the screwdrivers, mimosas and bloody marys only to order iced tea, coffee and, well, we would have had Coke, but the soda was all flat that morning - please stop pushing the alcoholic beverages two or three more times. It may be that our party really doesn't drink them. read more

Four for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Place does not have a "diner" look. Set up very nicely. Looks like a restaurant with tables nicely spaced. Welcomed and seated immediately. Clean and bright seating area on main floor. Not a lot of back and forth foot traffic one usually sees in a "diner" Ordered 2 breakfast panini, one steak the other bacon. 2 simple egg orders one with bacon. Both with side toast. One glass of OJ, coffee and hot tea. Bottle of cold water on table. Came fairly quickly. Two came a minute or so after the first two. No big deal. My toast could have been a bit warmer but not to the point I said anything. I believe my 2 eggs, generous portion of home fries and toast were only 3.99. Everything was very hot and tasty especially the home fries. Nice place,good food and service keeping in mind it's only breakfast. Would definitely return for breakfast and would give it a try for lunch which would be a truer test of the restaurant. read more

A friend suggested we meet for lunch at Livia's and we had a very enjoyable time. Our friend enjoyed a panini sandwich which looked delicious. My husband had a Grilled Vegetable Salad that was a generous portion and very fresh and tasty. The only drawback was that the restaurant did not have vinegar as an alternative to the homemade dressing. I loved my egg white only smoked salmon omelete. It was filled with salmon, onions, tomatoes and just the right amount of capers. I can't wait to return to Worcester to enjoy it again.
