Kathy was rude and did a horrible job on my pedicure. She seemed upset when I didn't want to upgrade to gel for more money. I'm on a budget and it's a splurge for me to even get a pedicure. Going to a wedding and I was hoping for a nice relaxing experience. She seemed annoyed at having to cut my nails. Nails cut and filed uneven. Not friendly. Ruined the polish when she was rushing to put on my flip flops. Tried to fix quick and did a terrible job. For $30 which is cheapest service for a pedicure not worth it. Other technicians seemed friendly. Asked for change for a $20 to leave a tip and she handed me back $10 I guess expected that's what I thought she deserved. My first time here and was not a relaxing or nice experience. Only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because the other technicians seemed nice and there were other customers that seemed to be happy with their service. read more

The pedicure technicians are disappointing here. I've been 7 times and each time there's always something I'm not satisfied with. They leave rough skin on my heels, they fail to properly trim cuticles & clean under nails. They always try to upcharge on the service menu, then fail to give an upgraded massage. I opted for the full Royal Pedicure, because when I do get a pedicure I want to be pampered like a queen and that is exactly what I got at LIVE. It was the best pedicure I have EVER gotten. Technician was sweet but I am not completely in love with my nails. Previously, when I've received French dip manicures the colors were way more vibrant. I feel like this looks way too close to my natural nail color. Not to mention the $45 dip manicure isn't even really a manicure (did not receive massage/ cuticle treatment) which is what I was really missing after 2+ years. read more

Went in based off reviews and a recommendation from a friend in the area. I just moved up the hill and needed to find a new nail salon. Gave them a try. My nails had gel on them for about a month from a previous manicure. When removing the gel the nail tech didn't even both to get all the previous polish off, which was a bright red or even the base coat. When it came time to cut and file my nails. I had a few that were pretty badly broken and I wanted all them the same length as the broken ones, she did not want to do what I had asked. I told her I am okay with them being short, if I don't just cut them they will continue to break. She then proceed to cut them, which was totally okay with me. When it came to filing I asked for a very natural round shape. She proceeded to tell me I wanted a ballerina type point....which was how her nails were done.... Through out the appointment I was angry because I knew they didn't look good. At the end I went ahead and looked at them and was like okay this is how they look, paid and left. I am sitting in my car and start to actually look at them and they look like a child did them. They are all jagged, not even and they look like they are already grown out, the polish isn't anywhere near my cuticles. You can also tell the polish is cheap and she didn't properly file the base of my nails before applying because it is all lumpy. Overall, I will be making the drive back to my old place because this experience was terrible, the price was $35 too! My old place did a way better job and it was only $30 and they would last a month. I am not normally one to write bad reviews but when it comes to my nails I am not a snob, but I want them too look nice and the price I pay better reflect the work. read more

Livie Nails has terrible customer service. I make my appointments expecting to be taken in order and finishing me off first for a pedi and a fill. They did my pedi on time but makes me wait for at least 45 minutes to one hour before they get to mani. In the meantime, they are taking customers in who have appointments after mine (which are up to an hour after mine) or walk-ins before they even think about even starting my mani. HIGHLY recommend this place over anywhere in Placerville. :) Just like any other nail place - they speak the language they are FLUENT in. If you say something & they don't understand, they will ask one of the other girls to translate... they are not being rude. They are trying to understand what we are saying. Unfortunately, my regular salon in Cameron Park was sold to new owners and I am looking for another salon closer to me in Placerville. Let me start off by saying the gal that did my pedicure did a good job. With that being said my experience there overall was terrible. It's a very busy salon. They have at least 15 spa chairs all crammed close together. The women working there are all speaking over each other very loudly. It was not the relaxing experience I am used to when going to get a pedicure. When I arrived I was told it would be a 15 minute wait which ok, I get it as I did not have an appointment although I was not offered one when I called the previous day. I was told to just come in. There is a sign above the front desk that says something to the affect of they prefer cash as to keeps costs down for using credit card machine. So I figured I had some time I would walk down to the ATM to get some cash. When I got back they had a chair for me...great! Uh, no. They sat me in the chair for another 10 minutes did not bother to at least run the water so I could soak my feet. A woman comes out to set me up and I try several times to hand her my chosen polish and I get completely ignored because she is busy talking to her coworker next to us. Finally she takes it and gets started. She finishes in a good amount of time, no problem. I ask her to break a $20 bill (change for a tip) and she brings me back a $10 bill and two $5's. I reach for it and she immediately tries to pull back all the cash. I grab it and hand her a $10. My services were $40 so I gave her two $20's. When I was ready to leave, she chases me out the door and says, hey you no pay to which I replied yes I did, I just gave you cash. She turns to say something to a gal I presume is the owner and they laugh. I am not amused. Needless to say I will not be going back. I don't really think this review will do anything as they have not responded to any of their other negative reviews and they had a packed place. So some people like that kind of service but for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Be warned! read more

Paid $85 for both me and my cousin and the lady who did mine didn't size my left hand right and were too long so I had to file them myself. Still shadows on my nails because she didn't paint them all the way and my cousin had a nail that wasn't fully glued on, also had acrylic stuck to the sides of some of my fingers. Poor customer service. My 4 yr old daughter and I went to get our nails done. Only plus is they have a kids chair. My daughters pedicure lasted about 10 mins and then all they were going to do was paint her fingernails. When I stopped them and said a "manicure" includes a nail shape and trim at least. I didn't ask for a polish service, I asked for a manicure. In addition, they didn't add top coat to her nails until I had to ask three times for them to add. As for my spa pedicure (not basic), I had to ask for a nail trim and my feet were still not as soft as other places leave them. In addition, the massage chairs were dirty, including the massage chair remote. Worst nail experience and will never go back. Stay away! read more

I miss Oasis! This place is horrible now. And that's putting it lightly. The girls were not paying attention to their customers. It took them forever to get anything done. Took them 15 minutes to call me back after I called ahead to make sure they could do it during my lunch hour so I ended up be late back to work.
