I recommend getting there at least 20-30 minutes early to get in line so you can get a good seat. It's first come first serve. It's definitely a fun activity to do if you're visiting.

City Experience, I…read moream writing to provide feedback regarding our recent dining cruise experience. I attended the cruise with another church member who was considering booking a future event, but unfortunately, several operational issues negatively impacted our evening. First, the seating arrangement was poorly organized. Our table was placed too close to the exit, creating a bottleneck as guests went outside to take photos, despite ample open space on the other side of the room. We ultimately had to relocate the table ourselves. Second, there was a 20- to 30-minute delay in opening the buffet because the DJ failed to make the announcement. As a result, the food was cold by the time we served ourselves, despite being first in line. When we brought this to the manager's attention, she explained that the air conditioning cooled the food down. This explanation is concerning, as properly functioning warming pans should keep the food hot. Because of this, I lost my appetite, and my colleague was discouraged from planning her event on this vessel. Additionally, we believe the cruise should separate adult and family dining areas. Children were running around the buffet space, which posed a safety hazard given the potential for accidental burns from hot food equipment. Based on these factors, we rate the food a 1 out of 10 and the DJ a 6 out of 10. Despite these significant issues, the service we received from two of your staff members was exceptional. Our waitress, Ms. Fiona, demonstrated outstanding professionalism, compassion, and initiative. She frequently checked on us, apologized for the issues, and even brought us a well-done steak and dessert to ensure we had something to eat. Similarly, Ms. Dee went above and beyond her duties with her kindness and helpfulness to ensure we still enjoyed our evening. Both Ms.Fiona and Ms.Dee deserve a 10+ rating for their exemplary service. I hope this feedback helps improve future cruise operations. Best regards,

a BYOB Brews Cruise around Boston Harbor?! Yes, please!…read more Cycleboat Boston, based in Charlestown, is a family-owned company providing both public tours and private charters for up to 20-26 guests. Each boat has a central table with ice-filled coolers that is surrounded by 12 bike seats for passengers to pedal to power the boat but don't worry! You don't have to pedal, there is an outboard motor. And if pedaling isn't your thing at all or there's more than 12 of passengers, each boat has a comfy lounge area in the back that is set up for conversation, sipping on your drink and drinking in the views! All cruises are BYOB (cans only and no hard alcohol - a craft beer lovers dream) and you can also bring food/snacks on board! For our cruise, we enjoyed charcuterie cones from Kured.co and Scuba & I obviously had to bring along some on-theme beers including Cushnoc Brewing's 'Can't Buy Backbone' IPA, Wormtown Brewing's Summer Ale and a pounder of Montauk Brewing's Summer Ale (all purchased at Dion's in Waltham). As someone who is happiest in/on/near the water with a beer in hand and has so much pride in my city; this was a dream! I am actively looking for any excuse to get back out on a Cycleboat!

Right before Corona hit we were touring around Boston and doing a lot of tourist things because Barbie hadn't explored Boston a lot since she was a teenager. There are lots of different options but by far the friendliest people that we found were on this yacht. I'm pretty sure it was this yacht because my memory is not as good as it should be anymore but it seems like it's the same one, judging by the pictures. They're definitely lovely people and it's cheap and it's very awesome.

Be it a water taxi, whale watch, private pleasure craft, community Boarding, etc. So when I first found this small privately owned craft called the Yacht Beacon I had my doubt but after the 1st trip they had me hooked. Once a party checks in every person is handed a plastic boarding pass. If you get there early there is access to a clean bathroom & a few benches allow for some really great people watching. Once they are ready to board Captain Ruthie or Mark warmly greet you & lead you down the gang plank. 1st mate Brennen helps you on board & after a few safety messages the boat quickly leaves Rowes Wharf. This 52 foot motor boat is very quiet & can hold up to 44 people. I have been on board for afternoon harbor island, romantic sunset, Boston city lights plus bridge & lock cruises. The captain will dispense a few facts as sights pass on by but if it's never heavy handed. With soda & water gratis plus adult beverages are only $5.00, it is a very economical way to spend a couple of hours. Seeing the city from the water gives it such a difference frame of reference. It allows you to take some of the most breathtaking photos of the city & surrounding points of interest. I recommend to take a ride if you can, it will truly surprise you.

His boat is clean and steady. We went lobster fishing. The boat is so steady, it wasn't rocking around too much. Rick gave us each a job to do. One was to record how many lobsters in the trap, which were keepers and which we had to throw back because it was either female (breeder) or too small. I had the job of measuring the lobster for size. Rick taught us that if it's a breeder, you clip the tail to indicate that it's a breeder. My sister in law was recording the number caught in each trap. My brother in law helped with steering the boat (he has a boat too.) My husband helped with gathering the lobster trap with a pole. I didn't know pig skin is used as bait. Although I was nervous, Rick kept me busy with putting bands on the lobster claws. I became an expert at it. At the end of the day, Rick put our catch on the grill. Let me tell you, grilled lobsters are the best! Especially when it's fresh out of the ocean. There was also a small crab in the catch too. I had forgotten about being nervous in the boat. Definitely book a trip with Rick, he makes boating fun! Even for people with anxiety being in the water. I want to go boating again with Rick this summer! I'm not anxious with Rick. He's great! Maybe this time I'll learn to fish!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! There are so many reasons why Don and his business are terrible, that I think…read moreit's easier to bullet them out for you! - Booked and fully paid for a six-hour trip 1.5 months in advanced. - Don then ignored all messages, texts, and emails up until 2 DAYS BEFFORE THE TRIP, at which time HE WAS TRYING TO CANCEL THE TRIP! - We had 12 folks total, with some flying into Boston for this day! - After saying cancelling is not an option for our group, Don refused to give us our original trip of 1 pm - 7 pm. He would only give us 10 am - 2 pm because he had other parties booked for our time that he'd rather not upset. - When we booked, it stated food, beer, and liquor beverages included in our package, then Don tried to say this was not included once I got him on the phone. We had to fight back on this too. Just an awful experience. We finally decide to do the four-hour trip between 10 am - 2 pm vs our original six-hour trip between 1 pm - 7 pm because it was that or nothing, and the group had been looking forward to this day for months! Then Don shows up late on the day of the trip. And then he docks early and tells us to get off the boat before it's even 2pm. Also, the food was maybe enough for 6 people, not 12. And there were NO liquors as we were told there would be after our fighting about all the other wrong things happening -- just a cooler of beers. Perhaps he was saving the food and liquor for the parties he preferred to take on the water (his words, not mine). Apparently one party was a repeat customer and the other party was a bachelorette party so, forget about us booking 1.5 months in advance - we were just super unimportant. Don knows he messed up and admitted to such. He said the only way he would take us on the water (even though HE TRIED TO CANCEL and gave us a hard time) was if I promised not to give him a bad review. I did promise to not give a bad review IF for the two days leading up to our trip if he actually did what he said he was going to do. Well, he did not, so here is my review. And on top of all the things I've already listed about him being late for our modified trip, not giving us the appropriate food and beverages, not communicating, etc. he was also just a straight jerk to us, his dog, and his staff. DON'T BOOK THIS GUY!!!!
