I hope many people read this . I ordered a adjustable bed base one month ago. I was told there was a two week back order with a 20 day lead. I paid for the base, and have waited . It's almost a month, I called and no one knows when the base will be in. I received a call yesterday that the bases were in at the distribution but not checked in yet. She said I would get a call 24 to 48 hrs to set delivery. I called this morning, now they say their still on back order with no date for arrival for sure. I would give it zero stars if possible. Upon the recommendation of the salesman I bought the R2 mattress in a firm. It was supposed to have a cooling effect and be about the same firmness as the medium firm in the R1. Neither is true. The cooling effect is hype and the mattress is definitely not the equivalent of the medium firmness in the R1. I have fibromyalgia and sleeping on this mattress is torture. Of course they have their no returns on bedding policy which I understand. However, since the mattress was purchased on the advice of the salesman I had hoped for some assistance with this. My job was to help my son get furniture for his new place. I was going through with Kayla, who is fantastic, to see what he would like and to make sure it was in stock and could be delivered soon. To begin Kayla was fantastic. She knew her inventory. She was great with me. Then when my son came over to say yes or no, she was fantastic with him. It's difficult to get his attention because he's always on the phone dealing with work stuff. But she handled that quite well. The selection there was great there was no problem with that. Here's where I had a problem. I was given the name of Worth moving to help deliver the products to my sons house. The company is owned by Ty Farnsworth and it's a veteran owned moving company. When I called he was surprised to hear from me and told me that living Spaces quit using his company. Apparently another company came in and is paying living spaces for them to advertise for their company. That's putting Ty out of the business. I was shocked to hear that and pretty upset. But I'm using Ty anyway. I am a military brat and I'm a military widow and I'm going to support vets. If you need furniture delivered I would encourage you to insist on using Ty and his company. Being a recent homeowner I've been shopping everywhere for furniture. Living Spaces has a pretty extensive selection and the prices are pretty reasonable. They have everything from funky modern sectionals, to cushy old man leather couches that recline. It's also a plus to shop somewhere the sales people aren't pushy at all but always there to help you when you need them. I finally got sick of sitting on the one chair I own and decided I needed a couch like, yesterday. I went in and after looking through probably every single set on display (and maybe getting lost in the decor section) I decided on the one for me! Cute grey sectional with tufted cushions. The only problem was they only had the floor model left, which I wasn't thrilled about. This has happened previously when I was picking out a Christmas gift for my sister and brother in law. Other places I've bought from offer a discount if you're buying the floor model- not here. After a thorough inspection I decided to purchase anyway. They sold me on the extended warranty (they specifically said it covered wine stains, what was I supposed to do?!) So that was an extra 10%. The checkout process was quick and easy- we loaded up the car and now on the off chance I make some friends to invite over they will have a place to sit! read more

I came into the store twice before I purchased the Ashlyn Storage bed frame. Both times the friendly associates explained that if I purchased this bed frame I would not have to purchase a box spring or additional support for the mattress, so I would save money- since I woudn't need additional support. I purchased the frame and a new queen mattress ($600 from a different retailer). I received the bed frame on 1/2/2017 and the new mattress on 1/4/2017. I put the mattress on the frame and tried to sleep, but woke up in pain and discomfort. I was not sure what the problem was- but thought could be the mattress, since the store said that I would not need additional support with any mattress I used on that frame. I then purchased a $50 mattress topper- that didn't help. On 1/7/2017(within 5 days of receiving the bed frame) I went to the Living Spaces store on Bell Rd. and explained that I was in great pain after sleeping on my new bed. I asked again if I needed a box spring or something under the mattress. They assured me I did not need any additional support and thought it must be the new mattress. 3 associate helped me shop for another mattress on the 7th, but I held off purchasing at the last moment, because my body was sore and bruised from my 2 attempts at sleeping on the bed that it was hard to differentiate what mattress would be comfortable in the long run. I slept in another room of my home, and I waited several days for the body soreness to clear up so I could test the beds again and make a decision. On 1/12/2017 I went to the location off McDowell and tested the beds again. I asked the associate if it could be the slats that were causing the discomfort and pain I was experiencing. He assured me that wasn't the case, but at checkout, he suggested I buy a board from home depot and put it under the mattress. I went home, put the new $1000 mattress on the frame and attempted to sleep. Within a couple hours I had the same discomfort and pain. I started researching on the internet and discovered that foam mattresses should be supported by a flat surface and if there are slats that are more than 2 inches apart, it can cause the mattress to seep in between the slats and make the bed very uncomfortable. On top of this I learned that my bed frame had slats much further apart than 2 inches, and the slats are also flexible euro slats, which bend and move under the mattress- which would also make a foam mattress extremely uncomfortable- Basically- this bed frame is not meant to support a foam mattress, more so a standard coil type mattresses. I immediately emailed Living Spaces 1/13/2017 in the middle of the night and explained the situation. I received an apathetic response- that their associates are only required to share manufacturers descriptions, and the message suggested trying a "Bunkie board". I emailed them back pleading to come to resolution, but they did not respond. I tried the board suggestion, but it did not help. In the meantime, I ordered a low profile foundation support, hoping this would solve the problem (this cost around $150). I ended up sleeping on the original mattress I purchased for $600, on the floor, as the bed frame was too uncomfortable. I received the support foundation 1/16 and put it under the new $1000 mattress I bought at Living Spaces. Now the bed sits way too high, and after a few hours on the bed it is painful and uncomfortable. The flexible slats are still bending under the weight of the mattress causing the foam mattress to not sit correctly, and it hurts me. I contacted Living Spaces 1/17 and spoke with a supervisor named Laura, who told me they would not do anything or allow me to return the frame, because it was past their 7 day return policy. I called back and spoke with another woman who reached out to the store and they said they "might" get in touch with me and then another Supervisor named Marshae, took the phone from the person helping me and told me a senior manager would call me back in 1 hour. No one called back. 3 hours later I called again, and was told someone would call back sometime today. All I ask for was the opportunity to return the bed frame, so I can get something designed for a foam mattress. I asked if I could return the $1000 mattress since I am still within the 7 day return policy,- but Laura said they do not allow returns on mattresses. At the end of the day, I reached out to them within 5 days of receiving the bed frame and made them aware there was a problem. It's clear that I have tried everything to resolve this problem on my end and I have reached out appropriately to the store, the website, the corporate headquarters and this began before the return period was up. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and even purchased a $1000 mattress from them- that ended up being entirely unnecessary. I have spent $2500 all together and am sleeping on the floor. First we were told by one person they would deliver for free for military and could ship as soon as the next day. Then someone else said we could have it as soon as possible, even the floor model. But then the girl who helped us said it wouldn't be ready for 2 weeks since they don't have it stock (but we were sitting in the floor model we were willing to take) and then 5-6 weeks for an ottoman. They need to sort out their staff and make sure everyone is on the same page and understand their own policies. So now in our busy schedule we are picking up our couch and ottoman because we felt over a $100 delivery fee is ridiculous since it would be broken down into 2 deliveries. I am 1000% a fan of Living Spaces! I highly recommend when buying furniture that you at least walk through this very large showroom! They have so many unique things and even a line of 'one of a kind ' pieces called , Elements. These pieces tend to be super unique and from lands near or far. If you're a collector , this is what you need to peruse! I was kind of 'mad' at Living Spaces for letting go of Jeff Lewis and his designs , because I happen to love him! But, I'm selfish and after having such a positive experience here with Kim, in dining, in our search for a large, solid wood, and unique dining table that I could mix and match in my new desert home.. I had to get over it. I will return to Kim every time I need new furniture and guidance in my design! We have now bought dining chairs , a unique dining table , a side board, various large area rugs and a Elements piece for our home. It's all beautiful ! They don't work on commission here either, so they may come up to you over and over, but it's to advise of the sales or ask if your in need of help. The pressure to buy isn't aggressive. Thank goodness! The check out process takes mere minutes and it's flawless unlike that other store I reviewed. The delivery happened in the same day!!!! UPDATE: Living Spaces asked me to send them my original invoice and after review they refunded the $99 repair fee. Issue resolved! We purchased a reclining sectional couch in July 2017. We did not purchase an extended warranty believing this piece of furniture would hold up with only 2 average size adults in our household. In March 2019 the frame of one of the recliners literally snapped when an average size guest (180 lb young man) sat on the seat. Living Spaces customer service informed us without the extended warranty, it would be $99 to repair the couch so we paid the fee to have it repaired. Yesterday the tech came out and repaired the couch by splinting the broken wood. He informed us the reason why the frame snapped is because there was a large knot in the wood exactly where it snapped. I called customer service to express that we wanted a refund for the repair because the manufacturer used defective wood. She explained, if you don't have an extended warranty you have to pay for the repair, no refunds. I told her we believed the couch should last more than 16 months and shouldn't have to pay to repair a defective couch. She said we knew what kind of wood the frame was made of because it's in the website description. I find that excuse to be very weak and ridiculous. Not many people who walk in the store and purchase a couch, go back and read the website description. Aside from that, the website description of the frame for their sectional couches is Kiln Dried Solid Hardwood and Engineer Wood Mixed. It does not say anything about the possibility of knotty wood and the possibility it may snap. Knots in the wood are not solid hardwood as described on the website. Regardless of my persistence that the couch had a defective piece of wood, the customer service rep maintained we had to pay for the repair because we didn't have an extended warranty. Living Spaces is not standing behind their furniture which may be poorly constructed or manufactured. The consumer either has to pay the price of an extended warranty to cover their defective or poorly constructed furniture, or we have to pay for the repair when it breaks. Beware if you try to cancel an order! I was recently in on Saturday evening and placed a special order for a sofa. I called customer service the next day to cancel and was told I would need to pay a 25% restocking fee. Even though this sofa was only on order. I was told there was no way around the $199 fee they were going to charge for canceling the order. I even spoke to the manager and was willing to accept a store credit for the amount. She said there is no way around the cancellation fee. So now I have to pay for the privilege of canceling an order that isn't even in production yet. We ordered a King size mattress that they LOST from the manufacturer and was not delivered in the timeframe they promised. Then the mattress they delivered was mislabeled as a R2 Plush. Forced me to go through their "warranty department". No one ever called me. Delay after delay after delay. Repeated follow up needed to get any answers, and even then, customer service reps are clueless and unhelpful and you need a supervisor to get anyone with half a brain. If there was an option for "0", it would be selected!!! We purchased the Copper Hybrid Film Eastern King which is the Living Spaces Revive brand. I was told the mattress purchased had a lifetime manufacturers warranty for anything that happened. We have had it less than 3 months and upon turning the mattress (as instructed by the salesperson), the handle tore. I have now been advised by the Living Spaces Warranty department, the handled is an excluded part of the mattress. So much for the warranty! This is misrepresentation by the store salesperson and of their warranty. It was only after my call today, that I was referred to the manufacturer Diamond Mattress Company (actually makes the mattress . . . another misrepresentation as it is NOT made by Living Spaces) and guided to the part where the handle is excluded. Furthermore, the claim I made through the warranty department specifically stated I would be contacted in 3-5 business days. I had the make the follow up contact for which I was told "sorry" by the Manager, Conrad who would not provide his last name. I found the customer service to be unprofessional and rude. When I asked how I would then repair the issue on my own, there was no response only that any damage I did during would then negate the mattress warranty! What a merry-go-round. read more

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. We purchased a table 2 months ago. Never seen it. 4 times I had to call customer service, for a product that was first shipped without a base, then the information as to the whereabouts of the missing pieces was not known. We made 3 delivery schedules and 1 pick up schedules. All failed attempts. Twice if I don't call we don't know it's not coming. At the store I couldn't find something I liked, so I was directed by an employee who seemed annoyed when asked a question to go online for more options and also where I could choose next day delivery. The Online shopping however is a joke. Just spent an entire day awaiting a delivery of a much needed bed that never arrived. When you order online, you are given a day and time window for delivery. 8am-3pm on this lovely Tuesday was the time given. When I called at 330 inquiring about eta I was told that the order was not even on the way. They informed me that It was on purchase order and would be up to 15 days for delivery. Very disappointed that I won't be shopping at Living Spaces ever again. We ordered the Lodge sofa and Lodge love seat both in the color Bella Otter. It's worth noting that this was/is the color that they have for their models on the floor. So, we wanted exactly what they were advertising. However, it was not in stock. Literally none of their sofas/love seats/sectionals are in stock. It takes 13-16 to weeks to get them. Due to the fact that they're not in stock, the order is considered a "special order". Our "special order" finally arrived today after waiting months- and the couch and the love seat are two completely different colors despite the fact that we ordered Bella Otter for both, and they were both labeled Bella Otter upon delivery also. We have dealt with people via email, phone, and even in person regarding the issue. The manager at this location was shady and tried to tell us that we made a selection error, despite all of the evidence that everything was labeled Bella Otter. After making it clear that we weren't complete idiots, and we weren't buying it, she did back track and ultimately state that the error of two different fabrics was not on us. She was unable to do anything for us. Her suggestion was that we return our sofa and Iove seat- and reorder them. So wait another 16 weeks. Being that we couldn't guarantee we would even get matching pieces, it was soo not worth it to consider this option. The real kicker is, the two pieces we were sent are both different colors from the Bella Otter on the floor model. Living spaces seriously lacks Quality Control & the manager, Nadia, at this location is shady and I hate to think of how many customers she has attempted to rip off. They delivered 2 of four dining chairs with defects: bent and leaning to one side, and once seat back screw holes are stripped and the screws fall out leaving the seat back hanging. I'm calling customer service for an exchange they make you go through a ridiculous process with no variation based on circumstances. We've purchase the majority of our furniture at Ashley or American Furniture Warehouse without any complaints. Always excellent customer service from ALL staff! Pleasant experiences at both, especially American Furniture. Came into Living Spaces last week and had a horrible experience with trying to find a sales person the floor to check stock...just wanted to purchase something and they were annoyed to look up stock number etc. Train your staff to have a good attitude with customers! You NEVER know who the person is who's looking to buy one item, they might be looking to buy an entire household. First and last time I'll be dealing with this company.. ordered a bed frame and 2 nightstands. Bed frame was available right away but the nightstands were on back order No big deal.. but we did decide we wanted everything delivered together.. so our original delivery date was 7/15. nightstands still weren't ready so got pushed back to the end of July still no big deal. Just called them to check the status and see if I was going to be getting my stuff on time but now my bed frame isn't in stock? How is that even possible.. when I asked for a supervisor the rep then proceeded to hang up on me. I had to wait another 20 minutes on hold to get a different rep to still not be able to get through to a supervisor. At this point I am getting a refund on my order and will be taking my business elsewhere.. I'm usually not a Karen and pretty understanding but it was just the way everything has been dealt with that has me at my end. ***Update*** After waiting the 2 days I was told that it would take a supervisor to call me which they didn't ( Didn't really expect them to with how their customer service is) I called back and asked to speak once again to a supervisor which from there I was transferred to the warehouse... had to call back again and finally got to speak to a supervisor... he also tried to give me the run around and wanted me to call back the 29th cause he couldn't process my refund.. when I told him nope he better figure something out I will not be getting off the phone till it is processed he could then magically cancel my order and get me my refund. All I can do is advise anyone to stay clear of them unless you enjoy spending a lot of money for products you will never receive and talking to incompetent customer service then this company is for you. read more

Here's an update worth reading... I received a call from the special orders department who said "we spoke with the vendor and they are shipping your chair to the warehouse at the end of the week" that's strange because I was told on the 6th that the vendor already sent the chair to the warehouse and the warehouse can't find it. I told the gentleman that I was already told by the manager to cancel the order so I did. He placed me on hold, spoke with the store, and got back on the phone with me saying "I'm sorry, the order is cancelled so you won't be getting the chair, sorry for this call, it was a mistake." I said well wait, what happens to the chair? Because we still want it. He told me the chair will be sent to clearance in california and there was nothing he could do. So I hung up with him and called Living Spaces customer service who told me that she would call the service department to see if the chair can be intercepted at the warehouse and sold to us. No joke, she got back on the phone with me and said "I'm sorry, they don't know where the chair is, the vendor can't find the chair, there are no notes in your account showing who you spoke with, and we don't know who spoke with you about the chair, so sorry". This is a joke at this point right?! Someone from the special order department called me from the living spaces phone number, knew all about my missing chair, knew my husband's and my name without us telling him....and now all of a sudden he doesn't exist??? And the chair is missing again???? Not only did I get my hopes up that living spaces was doing the right thing and getting me the chair I ordered, but you guys wasted about 45 minutes of my time at night that I was spending with my family. Shame on you guys. Please, send that up as high as you can in the company so someone who may have their stuff together can fix the broken system before your company goes bankrupt read more

Beware older lady with white bob. I came to this location three times and was approached by her each time. Instead of asking for my budget she showed me $900 couches that had been RETURNED. I told her I was interested in something with performance fabric and she wasn't even familiar with the term. The second time I came with my sectional already picked, when I told her I wanted to purchase the Whitley sectional from the Nate + Jeremiah collection in full today, instead of just closing the sale, she kept saying: "I better have my dimensions right or there will be a huge cancellation fee." When repeatedly telling her I wanted to pay in full, she insisted I finance or else: "I may not get my couch for 6 months." I walked out and purchased a sectional Arhaus instead, from which I received amazing customer service. They had what we wanted in stock. We just had to go to their Warehouse to pick it up as we had rented a truck for it. We left our coupons at home, but they said they would let us use them anyway. We had $150.00 off in coupons via snail mail. Made us do it in 2 transactions to use BOTH, that's why the last star wasn't given. Easily a manager could've overriden it and made it 1 transaction. Especially when we spend $1,000's of dollars between their locations. Going the "extra mile" gives you 5 Stars, we didn't feel they quite hit the mark. read more

DO NOT BUY A MATRESS FROM HERE!! My husband and I recently purchased bedroom furniture from here and on the same visit while purchasing a queen mattress we ended up buying ourselves a new king mattress since we were well overdue on replacing ours. The manager of the department helped us and stated that if we purchased a specific mattress we would get the queen set for free because of a promotion that was going on. So we thought, "what a great deal lets do it!" We laid on the king mattress several times, with pillows, and also laid on a few others... It was soft and comfortable, not too soft as it was a firm mattress but enough for comfort. We proceeded with all our purchases, spent a few thousand, and picked a delivery date and signed our paperwork....Signed on our end thinking it was for the purchase.....NO fine print was disclosed to us or important info that we later would find out. Well.....here we are 2 weeks later and my husband can't even sleep in our bed. He has too much pain from it because it is ROCK hard, NOT firm as the one we laid on in store...HARD!! And yes we are aware it has to be broken in but this was a completely different firmness. We went into the store a week ago, so 6 days after our purchase to request an exchange, as almost ALL mattress stores back there mattresses or have a trial period and when I called customer service on the phone they told me we had a 90 day trial window, and they told us there was nothing they would do for us and will NOT allow us to exchange it because the ONE specific mattress we bought was FINAL SALE....and we signed the paperwork....FUNNY...Not one salesman nor the manager of the department once told us or made us aware that this would be the case if we bought it... They simply highlighted the promotion. Pretty sure this is a major point to make your paying customer aware of. Hannah in customer service at this location was useless, basically kept saying, "well you signed the paperwork...I can pull it out and show you!!" UUUMMMM REALLY... because you read ALL the fine print on every paper when you purchase a car... I trusted that my knowledgeable salesman could at least give me the courtesy of telling me that I would not have the same guarantee on this purchase as any other one would. She basically shut us up by stating she would send a technician to our house to evaluate the mattress...Well he came, looked at the 1 uncovered corner of my covered bed and barely laid 1 hand down to feel it for half a second....Was called today to be told that the technician found NOTHING wrong with the mattress during his thorough evaluation:/ and that there is nothing that will be done for use, no exchange or anything... BASICALLY, thanks for your money but we don't really care how you feel, that you can't even sleep in your new mattress or enjoy you $1700 purchase. Thanks for making sure your customers are happy and thanks for backing your products...NOT!! read more
