I purchased a fairly expensive sofa from Living Spaces, and while I love the sofa itself, getting issues resolved turned into what can only be described as a saga. I won't bore anyone with the full play-by-play, but it involved months of confusion, misinformation, and a lot of well-intentioned people who were kind and polite... yet nothing actually got solved. Then I came into the store and met Jyelin T.. From the moment we spoke, he listened patiently, took my concerns seriously, and confidently said he could resolve it. Given my past experience, I'll admit I was skeptical. But literally the next day, he emailed me with a solution--and it was exactly the resolution I had been hoping for all along. Because of everything I'd been through, I even went back into the store to confirm that what he promised was truly happening. Sure enough, Jyelin delivered. He solved an issue that had dragged on for months in less than 24 hours. Total rockstar. Where is this company's ethics? I purchased a mattress from the Living Spaces and received one of their promotional gift cards in the amount of $300 which I attempted to use recently. I placed an online order for an item and entered the gift card information, then received a confirmation on the next screen that the gift card funds were applied successfully. I also received the approximate dates of delivery. However, because of a technical issue on the website (which was confirmed by their employee, Alex), my order apparently did not go through properly. By the time I discovered this, the gift card had just expired and now the company refuses to do anything to rectify the situation. I've spoken to two managers, both of whom thought it was appropriate to talk over me and tell me that the issue was MY fault. I even sent a screen shot proving my concerns and these were summarily dismissed. When I asked why the company was putting the onus on me and attempting to blame the customer for their technical error, I was curtly informed they would do nothing to correct the error and that "no way" would they re-issue a new card or even fix the order for me. This is now the second time I've had serious issues with Living Spaces' so-called "promotional" cards. From my experience, these feel like a scam. I will be reporting Living Spaces to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission as they clearly do not honor their "promotional" cards, nor do they accept responsibility for technical issues on their own website. I provided very specific delivery instructions because my neighborhood is full of homes that look exactly the same, yet they still delivered my chairs to the wrong address. I have been going back and forth with their customer service multiple times, explaining the issue, and they have done absolutely nothing to resolve it. It's completely unacceptable to spend that kind of money and be ignored while the company refuses to take responsibility. I have reported Living Spaces to the BBB for what I believe are scamming practices. I want to warn everyone: do not order from this company. Save your money, your time, and your frustration. They clearly have no regard for their customers or delivering what they promise. After posting my original review, I reached out to them and received the exact same response. Her stupid companion who was with her ordered the mattress online, SO that meant that instead of it being delivered inside of the house and them taking the old mattress to dispose of it, they simply threw her new mattress over her fence???!!!!!!! It gets worse. She is a very petite lady, maybe 5 feet tall and 100 lbs. This mattress isn't even 6 months old yet and it has big "holes" where you sink into it. I ordered a recliner off their website. Part of the electrical component was broken, so they send a technician to fix it. They said they'd send a new one to replace but it's my responsibility to dispose of the old one. It would cost around $150 to do that. S I said just refund me and pick this chair up. It was the biggest hassle. The higher ups are greedy and so rude. They put the blame on me for a faulty chair. If you have an exchange, they tell you if the exchange is equal too or greater than the actual item, yes they won't charge a restocking fee but they will charge a pickup fee and a new delivery fee when they said they wouldn't. Easily one of the worst purchasing experiences I've ever had. I ordered a bed and mattress from Living Spaces--delivery was delayed, and when it finally arrived, the drivers refused to bring the mattress upstairs unless I signed a waiver stating that they don't want to be responsible for the damage they cause by "jamming and pushing the mattress against the walls. They were unprofessional, told me to help, pinned me against a wall with the mattress, and then gave up, leaving me with the option to return it (with a 10% fee), buy a different one, or "figure it out myself." After returning the mattress, I discovered the bed was assembled incorrectly with missing support legs. I spent the better part of an hour on the phone and sent photos/videos just to prove the issue. Customer service was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly said no managers were available. I was promised callbacks that never came. When I finally reached a store manager, I was told the bed was discontinued--then later told it wasn't, just backordered. He also told me that I could return it for another bed and pay the difference, return it all together or he could offer a small discount so I could buy wood and, "figure out how to fix it." Four days later, I still have no bed or mattress, no resolution, and zero accountability. Horrible service, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism. I reached out to the email they provide on yelp in response to poor reviews and received a response saying that I can return the bed or choose another one and buy it. Not much of a resolution and in no way helps me as I do not have a bed. read more

Purchased a couch from Living Spaces in La Mirada, CA. Also purchased the 5 year protection plan. After about 14 months the seam separated on one of my cushions. It is stated in the protection plan that seam separation is covered. The warranty company determined that the seam separation is from normal wear and tear, which is conveniently for them not covered. So if you purchase from Living Spaces, be prepared for the product to fall apart just over a year, outside of the 1 year living spaces warranty. And expect for the extended warranty to deny your claim, calling everything normal wear so that they don't have to pay out for anything. Calling the customer service line gets you nowhere. Going in person to the store, they only call the same customer service line on your behalf and get nowhere. Nobody will give you contact information to escalate the issue. They've decided that the cost of a cushion cover is worth more than the Living Spaces name. Don't waste your time and money. read more

I can't fix it myself coz I don't want to ruin the product. So I called the same day i received the frame and complained about it. They offered to give me 10% refund or they can send me a technician to fix it. Of course I would request for a technician instead! And now, it's been almost a week not even a single call or mail I get from them. I've been calling them almost everyday but all I get is to "wait 24 hours" before someone contacts me. RIDICULOUS! A Product was sold to me was under false advertisement, the product description says one thing but what I received was different. I reported this store to BBB. livingspaces reported me to the BBB with lies about my concerns (still ongoing). I went on and reported them to the FTC as their company has a reputation of having the most absurd policies after the sale is complete. What kind of company false advertises items and then informs the customer of some hidden policy only after a sale is complete? This is borderline degenerate scam behavior. I purchased a reclining sofa and chair with their customer service department. It was done by telephone which I figured out was outsourced because their English was not the best. That is not my complaint. It was that when my sofa and chair arrived yesterday in comes in separate boxes seems like that's the way furniture comes today. They brought the wrong piece to build my sofa. They brought two pieces for the "left side", the middle piece, and no "right side". The driver said the box must have been mismarked. My wife was very upset and the guy at the warehouse it would take to the end of December to get the replacement part, and that a manager would call us in a couple of hours (since he was not one). needless, to say that call never happened. My wife attempted to call 5 more times with no satisfaction. Living Spaces really let us down. I can tell by the low reviews I am not alone. The 5 stars must be fake ones pushed by the company. Not pushy at all, and helpful in finding other options that fit our needs and budget. Our custom sectional was ready earlier than initially projected and delivery (by a third party) was a great experience - they were on-time, kind, and helpful. I recently bought a a bedroom set to surprise my daughter for her birthday. After going into the store and placing my order the sales person assured me all items were available and in stock. I made sure to check availability because it was a surprise gift and didn't want to not have it ready when k set it up. A couple of days before the delivery I received a notification that the vanity mirror was on back order and was not arriving for another month. This really irritated me because this is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Today I received another notification that the vanity is not going to be delivered until mid November!!! I really wish i could refund everything and go somewhere else. This is ridiculous because I just went on their website and I'm able to order the same mirror with a delivery in 2 weeks.
