This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I purchased a sofa from Living Spaces and was excited to receive it. Unfortunately, when the delivery team attempted delivery, they discovered that the main section physically could not fit through the access points to my residence. The sofa never entered my home and was returned. Adding to the frustration, my receipt contained incorrect information, including errors with my name and address. I contacted Living Spaces expecting that we could work together to find a reasonable solution. They could care less. I repeatedly explained that I had not changed my mind about the sofa and that this was not buyer's remorse. The issue was simply that the delivery could not be completed. A real bummer as I was excited to have this sofa in my place, if only it could fit. I was then told that the delivery team should not have taken the sofa back. When I asked why they did if that was the case, I received no meaningful answer. I also want to be clear that I was not demanding a full refund at all costs. I tried to meet Living Spaces halfway. I would have accepted a reasonable restocking fee. I would have accepted store credit. I simply wanted some kind of fair resolution. Instead, I was met with a complete refusal to help in any way. I was told there would be no refund, no exchange, no store credit, and no accommodation of any kind because the item was marked final sale. I was instructed to pick up a sofa that Living Spaces' own delivery team had already determined could not be brought into my home. I was also told that if I did not pick it up, the sofa would be disposed of within a few days! Think about that for a moment. Living Spaces physically has the sofa in their possession. I do not. Their own delivery team confirmed it could not be delivered, yet I am still expected to pay for it in full. They repeat that they're a "third party," which gives them license to not take any responsibility. During one of my calls, the manager hung up on me because he didn't like my tone. A follow-up call later resulted in the same answer: there was absolutely nothing Living Spaces was willing to do. Delivery problems happen. What matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In my case, I experienced a shocking lack of flexibility, empathy, accountability, and basic customer care. A real shame as I was ready to go back and spend thousands more to complete redecorating. What should have been an unfortunate but solvable delivery issue turned into an absolute disaster because of the way Living Spaces chose to handle it. After this experience, Living Spaces has lost me as a customer permanently. I will never purchase another item from this company again. Do not buy furniture from this scam company! I placed my order online for a very expensive sleeper sofa. I needed a specific size to fit into a smaller room and Living Spaces was one of the few companies that had what I needed. I normally do not shop at discount furniture retailers because I would rather pay more for quality and trustworthy sales tactics. When they unboxed the sofa in my home I thought it looked dingy and used. The delivery guy brushed it in a way to make it look refreshed so I let it go.. However when my sister came to visit and opened the bed to sleep on she noticed a GIANT wet spot on the underside of the mattress. It was disgusting!! I never looked at the underside of the mattress when they delivered it and wish I had. I contacted Living Spaces and they claimed they don't refurbish any of their mattresses or furniture. There was no explanation for the wet spot. Now the resolution they offered was a replacement of the entire sofa. Which would have been great except they don't remove the old one! So now it would be my responsibility to get rid of the original defected item. What a scam!! So i decided to go ahead but as the delivery date got closer i had no way of getting rid of the sofa so decided to cancel the order. Guess what? Now they are charging me a $175 cancellation fee! So now i have a used crusty mattress and a $175 fee on top of that. NEVER AGAIN. I will EVER patronize this scam company. Do NOT purchase furniture from Living Spaces! I can not stress this enough. I have had issues with each order I've made with them, including poor customer care, delivery errors, and inaccurate information, but the latest incident is the most egregious. I moved across the country a few years ago and needed to furnish an entire apartment. I was relieved to find Living Spaces as a reasonably priced furniture manufacturer. I purchased a dining table and chairs in September 2022. It is now March 2026, just 3.5 years later, and the table literally fell apart while I was sitting at it, presenting on a work call. I live alone, have no kids or pets, and am the only person who regularly sits at this table. This is in no way normal wear and tear. It is a structural failure of load-bearing parts that occurred during ordinary use, indicating a defect in materials and/or workmanship. It is not a reasonable product outcome for a dining table to collapse after just three years. It also created a safety hazard, exposing nails and rough wood, plus the danger of a heavy glass table top falling on my lap after its support structure collapsed. I reached out to Living Spaces to resolve this dispute directly, including going to my local showroom in-person with the defective table stand, which now sits in three separate, broken pieces. Each person I spoke to repeated the same scripted line, "There is nothing we can do." I was told the product is past its one-year warranty, and I should have purchased the extended five-year warranty if I expected a repair or replacement should it suddenly collapse on top of me. I would understand if I did something to the table, or there was normal wear and tear, but this was a clear manufacturing issue, and Living Spaces refuses to accept accountability for their poor quality. Another customer in the store asked if I was okay, which was nice to hear, as not a single one of the at least three people I spoke to extended even that small courtesy to me. I have never experienced anything like this, even with cheap IKEA or other Big Box Store pieces. I have a cheap dresser that has lasted over a decade and 3 moves, including one cross-country, but this stationary table that has never been moved from its original position crumbled, on top of me, after three years of simply existing. And the best solution I was offered was being told it's my fault I didn't pay them extra for them to help me when that happened. We are at the point where companies are mad they have to actually go through us consumers to get our money. Living Spaces is exactly that type of brand. Do NOT purchase furniture from these people. This is not about the individual store. This is about the delivery service and customer service. There is a reason why the online reviews and score are so terrible. I called the morning before the delivery was supposed to be done and was told that the delivery would be between 830 and 10:30 in the morning the next day. I then got a text at 4 o'clock in the afternoon telling me the delivery would be between 230 and 5:30 in the afternoon. I am a physician and had already arranged my afternoon, assuming that the delivery was as stated by their Customer Service rep in the morning. I Then called up their customer service line, and told them that the afternoon was already planned - but I expected morning delivery. I was told then that the person in the morning was wrong, and the delivery can only be done late in the afternoon. That it now could not be changed. Not only could it not be changed, but if I could not be home at that time, and I absolutely needed to change the new delivery time, there would be a significant penalty and charge for any new delivery time. The supervisor that I asked for basically told me the same thing. This was their mistake, and they refused to change the delivery time, and basically told me they would penalize me for any changes. Unbelievable. Look online... Look at the horrendous reviews that living spaces gets. I have no problem with the products they sell... But their customer service is abysmal. If I practiced medicine the way their online/telephone Customer Service functions... I would be out of business. Too many other stores with similar products. I have spent thousands of dollars on home furnishings from their stores. They could care less. It is the last time I will ever set foot in a living spaces store. read more

When did furniture get so expensive? Although we didn't buy anything on our first trip, we did come back and we now are the proud owners of living spaces furniture. Living Spaces is happy to take your money but when it comes to issues after delivery, theres no direct phone line to the store to chat about furniture defects etc. I purchased a couch that has cushions so stuffed and firm (Ruby) that you can hardly sit without falling over. The stuffing in the new couch is NOT the same stuffing on the couch in the store. I'm told by employees that LS will not replace the cushions as it's just a matter of breaking in the couch cushions. It'll take a year for that to happen. If you need to purchase furniture go to a place that will properly help and support you AFTER delivery. So frustrated and angry! read more

Don't ever purchase furniture with living spaces. I purchased a couch and loveseat. Spent around 3,500. I also purchased the care free warranty to cover for accidental damage. Ive had two accidents and not one of them was covered because they said it was normal wear and tear. Broken wood from an accident isn't normal wear and tear and ripped fabric isn't normal wear and tear. Furniture is made cheaply. I regret giving them my business and will let anyone considering to avoid their business. I went to the store and they even said I should've been covered but it's nothing they can do because it's the warranty company. They won't even refund me the money for the warranty. Brand new bed broke after a few months in July/Aug. The warranty replacement never arrived. Had to call back in late October asking what is going on with the bed frame they were going to fix? They never reached out to me for months hoping I would disapear i guess. Well they finally told me the bed was no longer in production due to defective engineering. So they offered a new bed frame which took nearly another few months to get to me. When they arrived, they told me that the bed that's broken needs to be removed.However, the representatives of living spaces told me that the bed frame would be removed by the people.Installing the new bed and that they would dispose of it.So they lied to me.And I had to figure out how to cut this up with a saw, because I didn't put the bed together.I paid for the bed to be assembled.So I don't have the tools to disassemble it.And I had to basically cut this whole thing up rushing to get it out of my house, and to have no way of disposing it. This company lied, and then they tried to claim that they had some sort of disclaimer that says that upon delivery, the bed needs to be removed.But their representatives on multiple occasions over the past several months told me that the bed would be removed by them.So they lied to me.And then last minute they're telling me that I need to figure out what to do with the broken bed, even though they're the ones that installed it, they used their tools.And they're the ones that brought it here.So they need to take it back and they refuse to take it back. We were very pleased with our shopping experience and paid for the premium delivery service with was also great. Here's were things took a turn. The powered headrest in our recliner failed after 1.5 weeks. It was stuck in a forward position and would not move. We called for a warranty claim. It took nearly 3 weeks to get someone here to see if they could repair it. The technician determined the motor for the headrest was burned out. They would report it back to Living Spaces for determination of ordering a replacement motor or replace the chair. At first they told us that no parts were available and the chair was not available for a replacement. They would give us credit for the purchase price of the chair. This left several questions: What about the sales tax we already paid? We also paid for a 5 year care warranty - will that apply to new purchase. And would they cover the delivery for the new item. Before we could get answers to these questions, we phoned their customer service and instead of getting these answers, lo and behold they said they had a chair in and could deliver the replacement the next day. That's great, but here came the next kicker - they offer nothing for taking away THEIR defective chair. They make it the customer's responsibility to dispose of their product that broke. Whatever it would cost to get it picked up is out of our pocket. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. If you deliver a product that breaks down within warranty period, you should not encumber your customer with ANY cost associated with rectifying the issue.
