Not sure why there are so many complaints?! We(my husband and I) have only had positive experiences with the furniture from Living Spaces!! Over four years ago we purchased multiple pieces from Living Spaces, this included a large sofa, large chair, a bed frame, etc. all of those pieces have held up over the years!! The only reason why we had to replace our couches was one of my children threw a squishy ball at his brother that happens to be filled with red dye which ruined the cream colors couches! We went in today and found a replacement, so super happy about that!! Can I also Just say how wonderful it is to go to an establishment that has clean bathrooms, that has no dust on the furniture or floor, that smells good, and that has great customer service!! Also, the price point is amazing!!! We have a RH cloud sectional that was almost 12,000 buckeroos, so spending a couple of thousand on a sofa is fairly reasonable, it's a steal! read more

Purchased a $1495 couch (Nolan Leather Dark Grey Sleeper) along with a $559.50 5-year "Care Free" Plan (oh the irony). Specifically got the warranty per the sales associates recommendation because the sleeper has moving parts and those are the ones that tend to fail. Sure enough in less than 2 years of occasional use the sleeper developed two issues: 1) When the couch is extended into a bed, the upper part of it is sunken in, causing the body to be at a downward angle, with head lower than feet. 2) The entire frame creaks loudly at the slightest motion. I bought a new $120 replacement mattress since those aren't covered under warranty, but that didn't resolve the sinking issue so I filed a warranty claim. Someone came out and said that the frame will need to be replaced. Later the claim got denied stating loss of resiliency due to normal wear and tear. I reached out to Living Spaces directly through their website, but they just repeated what their warranty service said saying wear and tear isn't covered. Notably, the Living Spaces own website claims that on average a quality fabric sofa can last 7 to 15 years, quality leather sofas can last even 3 times as long as that, so loss of resiliency due to wear and tear after less than 2 years, is far too premature, to say nothing of their refusal to honor their 5 year "Care Free" warranty plan. I just wish I checked Yelp and the Better Business Bureau website before buying from Living Spaces -- BBB is full of reports like mine. I moved from a house with a built-in desk to a home without one so I bought a desk from Living Spaces. I have purchased many items from them over the years and always had a good experience until now. The first scheduled delivery was confirmed 4x in the days leading up to it. I called to confirm the delivery and was told it arrived damaged and did not pass inspection. I called them to find this out. I was upset but understood things happen. The same thing happened the second time around... 4 confirmations and then this time they called to tell me it had arrived damaged AGAIN and is now out of stock and cannot be delivered ever. I was told I could have the floor model but would need to pick it up myself. I live 45 minutes from the nearest showroom and have a small compact car so that is not an option for me. They did not offer to deliver the floor model after 2 failed attempts of delivery at their warehouse. I work from home full time and after several weeks still have work station and now need to start my desk search from scratch. I will never buy furniture from this store again. The auto generated confirmations are done without awareness of what occurs in the warehouse. The fact that it was delivered damaged twice is not good either. At least their quality control people are on top of it. I got a full refund and the customer service reps were fine. However, the disappointment of misleading confirmations and repeated damaged items have eroded my confidence in the brand. It's a shame. read more

UDPATE: We got a rocking swivel recliner and it started squeaking a month later. Thankfully we have a sound machine when we rock our little one to sleep that drowns out the sound. This purchase was in 2022. Then we went on to purchase a sectional a few months ago. Sectional is great. We were able to see it in store. It was delivered 2 days later after we purchased it online. The delivery guys were awesome, even though they had to remove cushions and the feet of the sectional to get it through the door. The measurements on the website are not accurate. The sectional attachments were off so there is a gap between the two pieces... Lovely. Last thing, WE HAVE CARPET BEETLES. I am not sure where their product is stored but after the sectionals were brought to the house, holy hell were we getting skin irritations like crazy. Our pest control found carpet beetles in our living room and they made their way to our bedrooms. It's been a hot mess trying to get rid of the beetles... Also our guests get skin irritations as well. So embarrassing, definitely won't purchasing again from Living Spaces. They have cute and affordable product but not worth the headache of the carpet beetle infestation. read more

I was so excited to receive my armless couch that I ordered from living Spaces for months ago. After 4 months I noticed one of the Cushing's had a ripple affect when I got up. I contacted living Spaces after four months a technician came out the following month Took pictures and said someone will contact me in two or three business days. I waited a week and a half no one ever called me I contacted them and they told me that that was normal for the couch to have the rippling effect I spoke to someone and they said that there's nothing they can do. I'm just now seeing that this store has a very low score, I'm not necessarily upset with the employees of this location but Living Spaces as a company as well as the Furniture Solutions service. My wife and I ordered 3 sofa beds for our home. We measured everything as suggested before deciding on our choices. Upon delivery, one of the three couches was damaged. It sat in our room unused for a month until a tech came. He determined that the entire bed mechanism needed to be replaced. FS ordered the part and we waited another 3 weeks for the part. Then another week and a half for the tech to come back and fix it. He was able to do so and assured me that Living Spaces or FS would make an appointment for pick up of the broken part plus the trash (box it came in) with a few days. When I asked Living Spaces about this they told me that it was up to ME to dispose of this junk. I messaged FS and they said the same thing but with a less friendly attitude. I'm livid, I have this trash in my backyard that I need to throw away somehow. I don't have a delivery truck like the one it came in! This is a really crappy way to treat your customers, we spent damn near $4,000!! They never apologized for the sh!tty delivery or the long wait. Scheduled weeks before and confirmed several times before the actual delivery date still missed items to be delivered on the actual date. We had to fly from Los Angeles to Berkeley to prepare the move-in for our kid studying at Berkeley ended up in an incomplete move-in. Where to even start! I should've listened to the bad reviews. Went yesterday and was helped by Jaeda (she was very nice). Spent $2900 and delivery was set for same day delivery. between 6pm-12am. We came home (not too close by) and i checked tracking a few hours later and the system said no order number found. So I log onto my account and it says delivery 10/22. So I call and they don't even know what's going on and also a tv stand was put into my order when all I ordered was a sectional. The customer service rep says there are no phones and he can only put in a request for a call and they have 24 hours to get back to me from the location. So I had to drive all the way back for them to tell me there was a mix up and they cancelled the order and if I want I can place it again right now. So they wanted me to pay $2900 again and just wait for the refund from the other transaction they messed up. From what I was hearing, someone didn't log out and orders got mixed up. No compensation, no free delivery, no nothing for all my trouble and back and forth. Worst part is if I never would've checked my tracking we'd be at home waiting like dummies for something that was never coming. They couldn't even pick up a phone and let me know. Complete incompetence! Listen to me, absolutely do not buy here. DONT DO IT! Oh and to top it off halfway home I'm reading the refund slip and they tried to make some of the refund store credit! The second paragraph was my original review and I had given one star. When I drove to the store, Eddie the manager realized that the receipt was incomplete and gave me the cancellation fee back. He was so kind, I decided to make another purchase. I'm increasing to 3 stars and not 5 because of their customer service reps and the mess I had to go through to get things right. Purchased sectional sofa on Monday. Delivery set for Wednesday. Tuesday, started to arrange things in the new house for the sofa set. Realized that it would not fit. Called to cancel and they wanted to charge me $180 cancellation fee, telling me that it was in route. How the heck is it in route when my house in Tracy is 45 minutes away? Then they tell me it's because it's on the truck. $180 to take it off the truck? They didn't even tell me about the cancellation fee. When I spoke to the supervisor, she says it's on my receipt. There's NOTHING of sort on the receipt except item, price and text notification disclosure. I would give zero stars if I could. The floor worker put in the wrong order for our furniture and later claimed that was the furniture we chose. We also gave them a new number to call to update us on when they could exchange for the furniture we wanted. They proceeded to call the old numuber. They then charged us a second delivery fee in order to get the correct furniture we had asked for originally. This is just scratching the surface. Do not buy anything from Living Spaces!!! I purchased a reclining couch for $2300 in February 2023. I need a new power supply but they will not assist me at all. They will not order one. I asked them for the manufacturer so I could order one but they will not give me that information. So I have a very heavy piece of furniture that doesn't work and is only 2 months old. I also purchased a matching loveseat from here. I purchased the "Care Free" warranty. I had the loveseat for less than a week when half of the loveseat massage unit lost presser for the upper bach area. It barely does anything. They would not replace it or repair it. They sent out a technician that spent five minutes checking that it had all the plugs plugged in and the motor turns on. We waited a month for them to tell us they won't do anything about it. All the furniture in my apartment is from Living Spaces. We have made at least 3 purchases from this location with no issues at all. Not to mention at great prices! The initial purchase was when we first moved into our apartment. We purchased a 3 seat sectional couch, tv stand, bookshelf, and a dining room table set with 4 chairs all for $1800! We also have a bed set with a Serta iComfort Blue Max mattress and Revive memory foam pillows. All these items were delivered by Living Spaces. They arrived on time with the messaging system accurately reflecting how many stops they had left before coming to our apartment. They were careful and incredibly fast. They even took our old mattress and box spring even though Living Spaces employees say its not guaranteed that they can take the old mattress and box spring. The only thing they did not take was the metal bed frame that I was left to get rid of. I have heard other stories of delivery issues but I have not experienced this at all. I have also heard about issues with returning items. Its important to know and read the return policy. They also ask you every time you make a purchase if you are aware of the return policy and they make sure to walk you through and make you aware of their policies. Be sure to ask any questions before buying and you should hopefully be ok! I will continue to shop here for our furniture needs. read more

Putting Restoration Hardware to shame, I was very impressed with the prices, quality, selection and the no pressure, pleasant shopping experience here. Prices/quality are unbeatable for what you get. I've been to so many furniture stores the past few weeks I am a self proclaimed furniture expert. At this store I found a couch for $1300 that at Basset would have been $3000. On their display up front they show a worse quality Restoration Hardware chair for $1995 that costs $795 here - only the Restoration Hardware one has a more poorly constructed frame, cheap suspension - and a worse cushion. All you get at RH is a high price tag and a brand name. Selection is impressive. Bedroom, living room, dining room and even some minimal decoration stuff - but not to the point its overwhelming. If you don't find what you want here it doesn't exist. Shopping experience is incredible. Nice greeting from Josh up front just as I came in. They have a small "education center" where they cut a junky Restoration Hardware couch in half to illustrate its poor quality. This allows a shopper to see the value of what they are getting. You can see the strong metal springs in the furniture sold here in sharp contrast to the cheap fabric/rubber supports in the RH stuff. I was emailed a credit voucher as a result of a warranty not used. The email contained the voucher number to redeem for $47. The stipulation was the purchase amount needs to be double the voucher. I proceeded to go online to make my selection and at checkout, I am asked for a pin. It was a few days to the voucher expiring so I forwarded the voucher email to support requesting a pin. The staff person who responded asked didn't bother telling me the usage of the voucher is for in-store purchase or over the phone. Instead, they asked for account info which was already in the email. Their lack of properly responding allowed the voucher date to expire. Last week, I contacted support and provided this same explanation for the situation at hand. The support team obtained the account info and my proceeded to help with answering questions about the different products I was selecting. I wasn't able to decide on my selection over the weekend and I contacted support this morning to provide my selection to move forward with redeeming my voucher and paying the difference. I AM NOW TOLD MY VOUCHER HAS EXPIRED. This has been a huge waste of time and an element of fraudulent credits being issued by Living Spaces. We are always happy with purchases from living spaces and the warranty is fantastic. There's so much peace of mind with their warranty it's hard to purchase furniture elsewhere. We most recently bought a new leather recliner set and it is very comfortable while looking high end and refined. Customer service can be hit or miss but the delivery team from the warehouse went above and beyond. Custom piece had some stitching flaws but not noticeable enough to deal with having replaced. read more

They had us buy box springs that didn't fit the bed frame they recommended and the bed frames arrived 4 weeks after box springs before we could see if they fit and now we can't return unused box springs that don't even fit the bed. I purchased a wall accent today and brought it home to place on my wall. Opened up the plastic pouch for the hardware required to install and the hardware parts were missing. Immediately called customer service and first was put on hold for 20 minutes with a final response that I would be receiving an email to receive next steps on how to obtain the parts once I follow the procedure which means I would have to take pictures of the item. Scan and email it to the customer service office before I could e considered a candidate to be assisted. I was very surprised at the response and was more frustrated at process and the amount of time I would have to spend accommodating their processes where I am the customer. Not to mention I had to find the scan code for the cashier during purchasing since she was did not have the courtesy of getting up from her chair and looking over the counter to find the sticker. And rather have me flip the 4 foot long and 2 foot wide wooden wall art around to find it myself. What ever happen to great customer service. Ordered bedroom set March 25, 2021 and got a message for delivery May 7, 2021. We reschedule the delivery to May 12, 2021 and that morning I got a calling saying that the delivery is canceled since it's not ready. Why would you let me know the day off delivery that furniture are not ready? I had to ask for time off work bc of the delivery. Why would you schedule a delivery date or May 7th when they're not ready to begin with? It's now May 14, 2021 and still no confirmation of delivery and still waiting for a manager to call me back. Living Spaces Not Reliable Re Deliveries Cancelled my order after Living Spaces gave me a firm date for the arrival of the credenza I ordered and then emailed me that they have no idea when it will arrive but will inform me when they have more information. I called the Living Spaces central office and it was reiterated that they don't know when the credenza I ordered will arrive. Living Spaces simultaneously "disappeared" the runner rug from my order history even though that has not been delivered yet. In short, Living Spaces cannot be trusted to reliably manage your orders. The assembly is also very poor, there are large gaps, and you can even see the connecting anchor inside. I walked in with my girl in this location and found the one we liked but it wasn't in stock at the time. So, we paid for it and waited almost two months. I paid $493.88 on May 19, 2021 and I received the table yesterday, June 30th 2021. Today I opened the box and I'm not even half way of opening it I already saw that the table is broken. In store service seemed okay, but I was told it would take a week for delivery of a mattress and frame. Then a few days later, I was emailed a message that said I wouldn't get the frame for up to two weeks later. I tried calling the company, but was given the runaround. I called 3 different people. The store doesn't have a phone number, so that's a red flag. The contract upon purchase stated that my old mattress and box springs would be removed when they would deliver the new mattress. They emailed a time frame for that. I told three different people that I needed the delivery folks to call me because I live behind a locked gate and need to give directions. They did not call me. They did not show up. When I called their customer 'service' I was once again given the runaround. I feel like I've been robbed and lied to. I paid for all of this to happen and feel like I now have to fight to get my money back. I am also now forced to sleep on the floor or unbag my old stuff. How are these people still in business. Wow. I wish I had read all of these reviews before shopping here. The store itself was nice and the shopping experience was pleasant. Our sales associate was quite helpful. However, the delivery and corporate customer service is (because we are STILL dealing with this mess) an absolute nightmare. We ordered two chairs and two ottomans. The chairs and one ottoman were ready after 18 days. The second ottoman was never delivered to the warehouse so after weeks and weeks of calling and inquiring about our items we were finally given a date for delivery of the three pieces they did have. After that, it was like we were not even on their radar. Not one person contacted us to let us know the status. We always had to call and were told that someone would get back to us within 24-48 hours. They did not. And the process would begin. There is only one number to call. We also tried the chat. Same result. Finally, we received an email, addressed to the wrong person, saying that they were sorry for the inconvenience and to call to find out the status. At that point, we were told that the ottoman was lost. Which we figured out ourselves. Hours and hours have been spent on the phone with numerous customer service reps promising that we would be contacted within 24-48 hours and yet still nothing. Currently waiting for a manager to call us back in... yep 24-48 hours. So many wasted hours calling, holding, explaining, and attempting to get our furniture delivered. I LOVE our furniture (well the pieces we actually have) and have gotten so many compliments on it. The worst!! It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, however if there was less than one star, I would give them that. I purchased a recliner in early November. It took 2 weeks to deliver. After 10 days the switch blew while the chair was (and still is) in the open position. Since I had purchased an extended warranty, I thought there would be no problem. BTW, I paid nearly as much for the warranty etc as I did the chair. I filed a claim immediately. The next available appointment was 3 weeks later. The tech came and says the switch is defective will take about 2 weeks to arrive. AFTER it arrives, I need to call them to set up another appointment which will be another 2 weeks!! By this time I will have had the chair for almost 4 months with only 10 days of use. I went to the store and requested a refund. I couldn't get one because of their 7 day return policy. I had it for 10 days before it quit. Spent at least 4 hours on phone and in store trying to get a working chair. Today I get an email asking for at least 6 pictures of the piece and told that it could take up to 8 weeks for a new part. THEN another 2 weeks for a tech. This will then be roughly 6 months total. By the way, LIVING SPACES DOES IT'S OWN WARRANTY!! They have the latitude to make their own exceptions. I will never go back. I wish I had read the reviews before shopping there. I see a lot of complaints with the same/similar problem and a lot of canned apologies from Living Spaces (see below), but apparently they are not sorry enough to change their practices. read more

I am very disappointed to have to write a negative review. My disappointment in their customer service comes from a return. Mind you my family has spent about $20,000 there in the last 4 years. On the most recent order I ordered an L-shaped power recliner. It's a sectional. I decided the actual L piece would not work for my room. I tried to live with it and just didn't like it. So being a sectional I took the L piece's out, slid the other recliner against the wall and attached it to the other two just making a straight sofa. I then went to the store to tell them I wanted to return it. They said I was 2 days past the return date. I was surprised because I would swear they had told me 30 days but let's just assume that's my fault. She said you could still probably get it returned but you're going to have to go through the main office and she gave me the phone number. I won't bother you with the details but they jerked me around for 3 weeks. I finally got a manager to call me and when she did I kindly explained the whole story and I said I understand I was 2 days past but honestly does it cost you guys anymore to accept the return 2 Days later? I went over the history of all the furniture I've bought there over the last 4 years and said I'm only asking for nne piece that was the cheapest of everything I bought and nobody has ever even sat in it. Mind you I still would have to pay the restocking fee. She couldn't have been less interested in talking about anything logical. She just kept repeating the mantra that it's company policy. I said I understand it's policy but can you understand how it seems a little petty when it was only 2 days past the cut off and it wouldn't cost you guys anymore to accept it 2 days later. Her answer blew my mind she said Well yeah if it had only been 2 days but now it's been 3 weeks. That's when I got a little angry because I told her it's only been 3 weeks because you guys just jerked me around for 3 weeks, said you would call me back, and didn't call me back. Corporate told me to go talk to the manager at the store then the manager at the store told me it had to be through corporate yada yada yada. So the bottom line is this. As long as you're just giving them money and they deliver your furniture it should be fine. But if you're expecting any kind of service or wanting anybody to give a damn whether or not you're satisfied once they have your money I would go somewhere else. First class and the only place to consider for high quality furniture at a fair price

Ordered a kitchen table online for pick up. Was a little confused on website regarding the pick up and purchase. As my fiancee was purchasing the table, but I was picking it up alone.. so I had to place & cancel the order twice. Both times were fast! Customer service was on point. I wasn't on hold long! The pick up center is behind the building which was a little sketchy to me. When I pulled up, the two guys working were very sweet. One did all the paperwork, while the other got the dolly to get the table & bench. They then both organized it in car for me. Very accommodating. Esp since I already had minimal space because I had a mini fridge in my mother in laws van + my toddler in her car seat. I couldn't drop the mini fridge off as I was taking it to Tracy with the table. But somehow, some way, the gentleman fit it all in my mother in laws dodge caravan! So that was great. When I arrived home my fiancee set up the table. It is absolutely stunning! No issues/cracks. Just beautiful!! For only $395! 6 seater. That's a steal imo. read more

To be fair, I have had some mediocre experiences here. But this time we were treated to great service from all concerned with one exception of a rather unprofessional "customer service" rep that I'd like trained or terminated. Neda, our salesperson was knowledgeable and very helpful in zeroing in on which sofas to buy. We originally bought 2 love seat size reclining sofas and one chair. After we got home, we realized the chair would not fit so we went back and canceled the chair and added a corner table with no problems. We were told we would receive the sofas on Friday. Then Weds morning I received a text that it would be Sunday? Called their Customer Service number and got the young lady who told us the truck was full on Friday and too bad and the earliest the could get to us was the following Weds, my wife and I were both trying to get her to help us and she got mad at us because we were yelling at her and hung up on us. We then went to the store and were helped by Joshua and Carlos and Neda who in the end realize what customer service is and got our goods delivered last night. So many thanks to them and we are quite happy with the end result and will come back to Living Spaces the next time we need furniture. read more
