My sister ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and she liked it. My BIL ordered the French toast and he liked it. My mom ordered the soup of the day and it was fine. Let me start with I love diner food. I have tried many since I moved to New Jersey. Most have very good, some excellent and this one in Livingston should close their breakfast Service. My order was eggs over easy, bacon, home fries (crispy), and white toast. Eggs over easy was their only accomplishment. The bacon was like a brown jerky and tasted worse. The home fries were a red mush you could sieve through your fork. And the redness was attributed to seasoning which was more red than flavor. On to the white toast I ordered. I received wheat, unbuttered. When I asked why her response was "some people don't like it. So rather than asking for unbuttered toast they decided customers could put c,old butter on cold toast. Their cook has one redeeming quality, he can cook an egg over easy. If that's the only qualification for the position it's why he got the job. Anything else is an abomination to the plate. I have been here before and it was a full lot to park. This day, 2 cars. Word must have gotten out breakfast is less than tolerable here. The place is clean and well lighted. read more

DISGUSTING. I can really only speak to the chicken salad sandwich. It had bits of brown pieces was obviously old but I tried. I ate a quarter or actually about half of it and disgusting is an understatement. Had bits of like cartilage in it. I couldn't. I threw it out. And have been gagging ever since. The pastrami was my dads. He couldn't eat it either. I don't think he wanted to upset me by saying it's bad but it's bad. It was simple and perfect, 2 balls in a broth and the broth was seasoned perfectly it is the 1st time ever I did not have to add salt to my matzo ball soup. My wife and I were running errands in the area, and she needed to go to the Quest across the street, and we were hungry! So why not here? The place does not know what it wants to be. It is a old school diner on the outside with the caved windows. It is attached to a car service station... And they own the random building inside the parking lot in the back... They also currently have a "Drive-Through-Window" which is definitely unique! Call in your order, get there, ring the bell, and they pass the food through a plexiglass window lol! Inside it has the old school dinner vibe, but in the back, there are Greek statues, and steps, but the rest of the diner does not compare to how nice that is... It just doesn't fit the vibe. It really does not make sense. Their pastry cabinet needs an update as well. Waits staff is very friendly! They have sanitizer on every table. Place seems pretty clean. Food is really nothing to write home about. I got the chicken noodle, it was ok, seemed more premade than home made. Wife said it was ok also. I usually have to add salt, but this one had the perfect amount which makes me think canned lol! I also got a cheese quesadilla. It was also ok. Really nothing special again! So looking for something quick & having no diners in GA...(I'm a born & raised Jersey girl) I took my son to eat her before the zoo. We love this place! It's a small, home-y feel diner and the food is incredible! Last spring, we had recently moved to the area from Hudson County/Bergen County area, the land of diners. We were on the hunt to find our new favorite local diner and luckily Livingston Diner is a half mile down the road! It was the first stop on our search, and our last! The service is always great, and employees so friendly and fun to talk to. First time I went, I tried the Cheesesteak Panini - it came fresh off the grill to the table and was amazing. We're picky about the gravy on our disco fries; it can be a hit or miss at a new spot. Theirs is my fav of all diners; they make it fresh from scratch every day. Another thing made fresh every day, is their French Toast, it's soaked over night and always cooked to perfection! I know this through conversation with the servers - and to hear the servers so knowledgeable and sound so proud to work there is so refreshing to witness. I thoroughly enjoyed the corned beef hash, the home fries were a little bland. Had to add salt and pepper. My friend ordered the corned beef hash omelette and home fries. She said she liked it, but couldn't really taste the corned beef hash even though she could see it in the omelette. I don't eat eggs at all, so I couldn't even imagine the taste.
