I thought this was a perfect little New Jersey diner. Very cute little place very welcoming. Our waitress was very good. Kept my coffee topped up. I had breakfast and my son had a burger and I thought they were both fantastic. Star of the show was the pork roll. It almost had like a burger/steak taste to it. Much more than just your typical old school Jersey Diner over here at Rose's where the Food is always delicious, the Coffee is always hot, and the Service is always excellent. Everything that I've ordered so far off this outstanding menu has exceeded my expectations and has left me very satisfied and not to mention FULL. Went here for breakfast with a friend the day after Thanksgiving. It's a nice, simple neighborhood place with good food and good service. I ordered the oatmeal and some coffee, both of which were good. I tasted some of my friend's rye toast, which was very tasty. The prices were reasonable. I asked for brown sugar for my oatmeal and they gave me this glass container with no cover and a spoon. I didn't think that was the most sanitary way to serve it, but I trusted the process.The parking lot was limited and my friend had to park across the street and ask the people in the restaurant if she would get towed. All in all, I would come here again for a nice homey meal. read more

The corned beef was excellent, home made and just right. The potatoes were ok, kind of plain, but not bad. Heinous service ! Don't be fooled by the high rating of this place ! I ordered the Philly Omelette, which listed onions, mushrooms, and green peppers on the menu. Not mentioning anything about meat, and low and behold a few bites in - there's meat! I asked the server if there was meat in the omelette and she looked shocked that i would even need to ask. Her response ' 'philly' means cheesesteak, and if I knew you didn't want meat i would have recommended the Veggie omelette.' I continued to say that they should list what meat is in the omelette if there is meat or perhaps rename the omelette to ' philly cheesesteak.' Not offering to substitute or fix the order and just walked away. The home fries were stale and greasy. My husbands egg sandwich was thin and bland and mostly bread. Great little hidden gem in Mine Hill. Place is on the smaller side with an old school vibe which I liked. Breakfast and lunch specials are great, but anything off the menu is good. I love their omelets and home fries. Great soup, burgers and fries. And the coffee is good, too. The place is a step back in time to old school luncheonette, before the chains moved in. Seating can be tight at peak weekend times for breakfast.
