The most amazing Challah French Toast !!
Dolly M.

A local diner that had been there for years! IT is inherently a part of the greater LIVINGSTON community. My children & I dined there often and what you get besides good reliable meals & service is the feeling of being surrounded by the pulse of this lovely community. Kids traditionally pack the place on opening nights after LHS Theatre performances... or friends reunite there with other frequently.., or just drop in for matzah ball soup ( the best!) Either way it's a great place to gather w/ the rest of the folks that make up this wonderful town! Even after you move away, you always return to The Ritz to get a taste of home.

Good variety and solid food every time. You will find something you like here. Service is decent.

Nice diner in Livingston. Needs some updating. Service good . Breakfast was ok. Big parking lot .

Double bacon cheeseburger

Old school, retro looking place which is easy to miss. Saw reviews about the service but I had nothing but a good experience. The food was excellent, Marions salad is a must, omelette was a good size with lots of home fries and the burger was monster sized.

Bland eggs benedict with broken Hollandaise sauce

Worst eggs benedict I've ever had. And it was $19. No salt or pepper on any other food. Was extremely bland. Did not receive my extra Hollandaise sauce and I'm glad I didn't because it was broken. I don't mind paying a little extra for food when it's good, but this was totally not worth it. I can't believe you have even a 2.6 rating. You're 3.9 rating on Google is generous. Definitely contacting triple D. Hopefully they revisit and see what you become. Food is way too expensive for the quality.

The Ritz (fried chicken sandwich) & the Marion salad

Wow the reviews are terrible. Why? I haven't been here since I was a child and honestly it was a great brunch! Marion the owner is a sweetheart and our service was awesome! Couldn't have been nicer. They have plenty of tables and booths. Everyone enjoyed! Tried the Marion salad (excellent!!) and The Ritz chicken sandwich. SO good. Classic diner and for all those who had an awful experience, go back and give them a shot to make it right. :)

I came here today for the first time and it was a pretty solid standard New Jersey diner. Service was pretty fair and around 2 PM. The place was hopping. Obviously they do very well here I had a burger that was a regular diner burger that suited my needs

I am working in Livingston and I really wanted a soup and grilled cheese because I am not feeling well. I checked Yelp and saw Ritz's Diner and I thought perfect. Read some negative reviews saying how rude they are but decided to call anyway. I called to ask what soup they had. "Hello. Do you have any soup?" Old woman answered the phone and said very rudely, "Why wouldn't we have soup? We always have soup...". She just lost a customer without me even entering the diner. So rude. Just to be clear, I WILL NEVER GOT TO RITZ DINER in Livinston!! No stars!!

My order was eggs over easy, bacon, home fries (crispy), and white toast. Eggs over easy was their only accomplishment. The bacon was like a brown jerky and tasted worse. The home fries were a red mush you could sieve through your fork. And the redness was attributed to seasoning which was more red than flavor. On to the white toast I ordered. I received wheat, unbuttered. When I asked why her response was "some people don't like it. So rather than asking for unbuttered toast they decided customers could put c,old butter on cold toast. Their cook has one redeeming quality, he can cook an egg over easy. If that's the only qualification for the position it's why he got the job. Anything else is an abomination to the plate. I have been here before and it was a full lot to park. This day, 2 cars. Word must have gotten out breakfast is less than tolerable here. The place is clean and well lighted.

I absolutely loved the teriyaki Salmon salad last time and switched it up for the Ahi Tuna Sandwich this time. Portions are decent and after the soup you will be full. The ambiance of the place is definitely the best part. You get an Alice in Wonderland kind of vibe. It can get busy during lunch hours but if are able to get window seatings you'll get a view of the New York skyline (if the city pollution allows) The only negative is they're drinks are more on the pricier side that. I get the alcoholic ones but I'm referring to soda, coffee, etc

To eat, I ordered the Greek omelet with a side of avocado and it was yummy! Not too heavy or light just the right amount of flavor and texture. Hash browns were partly crispy which I loved. I wasn't too fond for the multigrain bread but I'm a bread snob who makes their own sourdough so that may be why . We ended our visit with a slice of cherry pie with ice cream and loved how light and not too sweet it was! Service was great, attentive, friendly and pleasant. Would come again!

This is a unique 5 star restaurant that is worthy of a visit by Guy Fieri if he is still doing road trips for "Diners , Drive Ins and Dives". All I can say is you have to try them. It's worth the drive! They put a different spin on everything they serve. When you walk in, you may think it's a local deli that you go for a take out breakfast or lunch. Then you see the tables and all the customers sitting there. They have everything you could want from coffee, teas, juices, smoothies, sandwiches paninis, poke bowls, pancakes, waffles, breakfast and lunch dishes. You can tell that they have a ton of regular customers, that are very loyal. They also do catering, and even though I live in Brooklyn, they are willing to deliver to me. Today I met some amazing people at the restaurant. Congratulations to Carlos who is a new manager. He is a US Army Veteran who saw combat action and I hope everyone will thank him for his service when they visit. Carlos really cares about his customers. When we entered we were greeted, he started up a conversation and checked in on us throughout our meal. Victor was our server and he made great recommendations. He was also very friendly, we also met Melvin who was a runner and made sure the food came out promptly with all the accoutrements. Today we started with the blueberry pancakes. You get two large pancakes that are as big as the dish. They had blueberries inside and outside, whipped cream and maple syrup. Probably the best I've ever had! I had the apple, lemon, ginger juice which hit the spot. We also had the tuna poke bowl and the shrimp fajita bowl. The ingredients and fish were fresh and plentiful. I was stuffed by the time we left. I would highly recommend Seymour's Cafe if you want to experience phenomenal food and customer service.
