This is the place you go to for a quick and cheap lunch. Most of the sandwiches here range from $4.50-$6.00. I dont know about you but the price it self gets me for cheap lunches and the fact that the sandwiches are loaded with good quality deli meat and the staff is nice is the cherry on top. They offer an array of cold sandiwches, hot sandwiches, and even small fried food options like chicken strips and fries. My favorite thing about this place is that even though they are one of the only places in the area to serve deli sandwiches, they are so friendly and cheap (I know I said this already but I need to emphasis this. I hate giving this place a low rating because I genuinely enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, today's experience was really disappointing. I ordered a beef BEC, and the amount of bacon on it was surprisingly small. I went back to ask about it because it honestly looked like there was only one piece of bacon on the sandwich. I was told they put two slices on every sandwich and that mine had the correct amount. I'll include a photo so you can decide for yourself, but in my opinion, it didn't look like it. Super expensive for no reason, I literally bought a turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich with extra cheese and sausage and a Reese , it cost me $14.50, the price of two full sandwiches. The sandwich was bare minimum. Store owner argued that the sandwich was the cheapest in town. It is far from it. I will never come here again. It is one of the only convenience stores in the city but honestly with those prices it's not even worth it to get a basic sandwich . Terrible won't be back ! read more

Have know Sam, Bindu, and Pedro since they opened over 20 years ago. All terrific people and the the service by everyone in the store is great. The sandwiches are delicious and have the the highest quality Thumann's meats and cheeses. The salads are great- (try the tuna salad) and the store has everything you need in the way of dairy, coffees, deserts, paper goods and newspapers. If their were a 6* rating Livingston Mart would deserve it!! read more

I did not give them 5 stars because the new Quick Check in Wayne is the reference standard in convenience stores but for what it is, Livingston Mart rocks. New in the neighborhood, we heard good things and, happily, they lived up to their reputation. I like iced coffee. Real iced coffee that is born to be iced, not hot coffee poured over ice cubes that only serve to dilute the true coffee flavor and provide luke cold coffee. They have such a beast here and I love it. Their selection is top notch, bagels and food are yummy. The staff is attentive and friendly. One criticism is that it would be nice if they were open a bit later than 10 pm but oh well. Anyway, I leave for my office tomorrow morning at 6. Be there by 6:01 for coffee. See you then. read more

Definitely a fan of Livingston Mart, or "Sam's" as we call it. (If you're a regular you know why.) If you're coming here off 280 do not be deterred by the tiny parking lot in front - there is more parking in the back, which you can access from McClellan or from Livingston Ave. Their subs made quite an impression on my parents. Now every time my Mom comes to New Jersey she has to have a "Sam's Sub." You can get all the standard NJ breakfast fare: Taylor ham bagels, everything flagels, etc, and many flavors of coffee. My only negative comment on Livingston Mart is that none of the Powerball tickets we purchased here have been winners. Hook us up, yo! Warning: The woman at the dry cleaner next door is kind of a pill. If, hypothetically speaking, your car were to break down in the parking lot and the tow truck took a few hours to show up, she would (hypothetically) give you all kinds of sh*t for having your car in front of her store, when CLEARLY you are unable to move it. Very friendly service. Sometimes it can be slow if it is crowded, because there is only one cash register. Coffee is always fresh in the morning. The store supports a local elementary school always, which is a great thing. read more

Used to be a great place right down the street from my house .... to get sandwiches etc. After the owner spent a lot of money to build the restaurant (Assado's) next door , i noticed the sandwiches (on the convenience store side) now are terrible ( no meat just stuffed with lettuce and barely a drip of mayo on them ) . Tried several of my sandwiches that used to be my faves to get ( turkey/swiss with mayo and onions , lettuce /tomato ........ and tuna with oil/vinegar and onions , lettuce /tomato .... etc ) Nothing but a bread sandwich now stuffed with lettuce. Huge sub roll , couldn't even see any mayo on it, two teeny , tiny little slivers of onion , ONE ( no exaggeration ) slice of turkey and ONE sliver of swiss and stuffed with lettuce .... same with the tuna sub !!!! I actually took off one side of the sub roll ( like an open-face sandwich) with the tuna and it was still pathetic and dry !!! If i had scaped all the tuna off of it i guarantee there was no more than 2 tablespoons of tuna on it .... Pathetic and sad !!! Prices went up as well. I stopped going there after 7+ years and haven't been back since !!! I guess the owner (Sammy) after spending all of his money on the restaurant is now screwing his customers at the convenience store side to try and recoup his money .... Way to ruin your store !!!! Raised his prices as well ... lol. Place is a total joke now. My Advice .... save your money and go to a "real" deli and get a "real" Sub !!!!! read more

Favorite place down the street for literally anything you might need! Lunch? Scratch offs? A soda? Milk or butter because you forget it and don't want to go back to the grocery store. They got you. Since they opened, it's never empty, people are in and out constantly, and everyone that works there is beyond friendly, they even start to recognize you and you don't even need to tell them what you want, they already have it ready for you when your coming up to the counter !!! read more

I used to come here a few times a week when I was in high school (I graduated in 2010) and even though I only come back once or twice a year now, they still remember me and my sandwich order. it's a rip-off. I paid $50.00 for three subs--I ordered extra meat on each, but all I got was extra lettuce and onions--the meat was paper thin. Oh yeah, and there was a hair in my sandwich--maybe that was the extra meat. read more
