Located in a historic building in downtown, this office offers clean and friendly service. Dr. Loo is kind and generous. I travel from out of state to see Dr. Deng for my regular appointments. He is a conservative and considerate dentist. He takes the time to review my X-rays and show me areas of concern. Dr. Kim is excellent and she took me through my treatment plan, and I felt that I had a very high level of care here. Dr. Loo is also highly skilled, though she wasn't my primary dentist. I chose this dental practice because it's walking distance from my home. Best dental office in the San Ramon area. This is my 4th dentist in 14 yrs living in San Ramon Dr Loo & staff are very friendly & professional. I used to visit this practice when another dentist owned it. Dr Loo has decorated this office providing more privacy & it's so much more cleaner She took her time with my hygiene appointment & was extremely thorough. She was honest with me about getting my lower teeth whitened. My lower teeth are not exposed when i smile. She also says my teeth are white enough. Most dental offices would sell you a product anyway. I highly recommend this dental office. read more

I have been going to Livwell dentistry for about a year and had a great experience with dental cleanings and a cavity I had done by Dr. Deng. I had to have my front tooth crown replaced and thought livwell would do a good job given my past experience. This was a mistake. The process was not smooth at all. I showed up for my crown appointment and was surprised to have a different dentist than I had gone to in the past. I thought I would have Dr. Loo or Dr. Deng but I was given Dr. Kim. My appointment to have a temporary crown put in took over 2 hours and was very uncomfortable. I requested to have Dr. Loo place my permanent rather than Dr. Kim given the unpleasant experience at the first appointment. Dr. Loo agreed to do my permanent, but when I showed up for the appointment the tooth made by the lab was not exactly to my liking (this was the fault of the lab rather than Livwell. Dr. Loo was patient and handled the change professionally). I had to come back for another appointment with a new tooth, but Dr. Loo spends a lot of her time in a different office, so her availability in SF is limited. Due to availability, Dr. Kim had to place my permanent and it was not a pleasant experience. I repeatedly told her that my bite was off and my bottom tooth was hitting the back of my crown, but she did not see it as a problem and told me there was nothing more she could do. I had crowns done in the past and knew this was not normal. It was extremely uncomfortable to bite down because my bottom tooth would hit the back of my crown. Instead of adjusting the crown, she tried to shave down and polish my REAL bottom tooth. I scheduled an appointment with a different dentist. The new dentist fixed my problem minutes and agreed it was ridiculous that she told me nothing else could be done. Dr. Loo seems like a good dentist, but my experience with Dr. Kim was far from acceptable. I will not be retuning to Livwell dentistry. read more

I went to this practice (appointment with Dr. Loo) because they were conveniently located near my work. I went in for a routine cleaning and was told I needed some additional work for a cavity and some resin repairs on some old fillings I had, about $1,000 in repairs not covered by insurance. I asked for an itemized bill explaining what I would be getting done because I had a weird gut feeling I was being defrauded. I decided to consult my usual dentist who clarified during an appointment that I had no cavities and only needed minor repair on one filling. Needless to say I DO NOT recommend this practice. What they are doing of making up problems which dont exists is fraudulent and they should be reported. read more

This is an update to my prior one-star review. I cold not figure out how to amend or supplement that review, hence this new one.First, why only 3 stars? I base my ratings on the "bell curve". The vast majority of performances in any category are 3 stars with only a very few rating other than 3 stars. By my experience, Dr. Loo's performance fits within the vast range of competent dentists. Now, as to the two points of my prior review: Dr. Loo phoned, stated that the insurance company had send the check to the wrong address but that she would do my refund immediately. As to the gaping hole, she indicated that she previously referred mt to an endodontist regarding same, and that he had seen me. True and I'm supposing her failure to respond to my question was simply an oversight made in light of the prior referral. read more

Dr Loo and Dr Deng are always very professional and make dental visits a pleasure! The office is very modern and new with great views of the city. During each visit, Dr Loo always takes the time to thoroughly clean and properly examine my teeth. I always appreciate the honesty and transparency when Dr Loo or her staff take the time to explain my dental care options. They also work with me and my insurance to help minimize any out of pocket expense! I was always a bit self-conscious of my smile. Dr Loo helped me out with Invisalign and now I'm proud of my new smile! I am extremely grateful to have found such an awesome dentist located in a convenient location in the city. SHE IS A SCAM!! DO NOT TRUST HER. (Dr. Wenli Loo) I would NEVER in a million years recommend this dentist. My teeth were hurting, my dentist in the city was fully booked until the new year, so I was desperate for an appointment. I booked this appointment, came in, had a cleaning, it went smoothly. She gave me x-rays and let me know I had some fillings to do. This is typically normal news to me, as I'm prone to cavities and it is genetic. (I typically have 1-2 cavities each check up) She told me I had 9 cavities that needed fillings. Again, at that time I was desperate, so I scheduled my THREE appointments to get these fillings. I thought this was a bit strange but continued on to the next appt. When I came to the first filling appt and right away, I felt very uneasy. I was charged a VERY EXPENSIVE amount for my last cleaning and received a quote for what it would cost to get all fillings done ($2k). I decided to cancel my appointment when I was there and get a second opinion before paying all that money. I waited, went to my family dentist. He checked my teeth and NO CAVITIES. He told me a lot of dentist will tell you you have a cavity just to get money from you, when it really isn't a cavity. They end up giving you all these unnecessary fillings and ruin your teeth. He then showed me what a cavity looked like compared to my x-rays. NO CAVITIES. This was absolutely insane to me. And also I'd like to mention, I've never had to schedule multiple appointments to get my fillings done (because typically I only have 1 or 2 cavities) There were patients walking out of her office all from getting fillings and scheduling their next filling appt. This started to all make sense to me. After this, I learned my lesson to only go to a dentist you trust or referred to by a family/friend!! read more
