I highly recommend LJ Refrigeration! Unfortunately this week with excessive heat warnings, my home air conditioner quit working. After several days without AC and lackluster response/service from two other companies, I found LJ Refrigeration through a friend's recommendation. While waiting to get quotes back from two other businesses, I called and spoke with Jennifer. She was super friendly, helpful and responsive. Within one hour, She had Paul promptly visit my home (no charge) and within two hours, they sent me two recommendations and told me they could complete the service that day. I decided to replace the entire unit and within hours, my new AC unit was up and running. Both Jennifer and Paul were extremely helpful and friendly. I recently had our A/C units serviced by LJ Refigeration. The service technician let me know when he was on the way, and did the work quickly and efficiently. That part was excellent. I had been quoted a price from the company through yelp. When finished, he gave me the bill. It was more than 3 times what I was quoted up front. This was due to the Freon he has to use. I paid the bill even though I wasn't happy. Mostly because I was not informed up front that it would be extra for things like that. Or that it could be that much more. I don't know what Freon costs, but it seemed pretty excessive. Again, I have no problem with the work or the technician. But a customer should be informed up front about any additional costs and what they might be. If I had been, it wouldn't have been that much of a shock. read more

This company amazed us twice already with perfect customer service. We got a mailer for a March special to inspect the units. Jason the technician showed me everything I needed to know about the units and was very fair and I completely trusted his recommendations. Today about a month later one of the units suddenly stopped cooling. We called and they explained they were very busy but would try to squeeze us in. Jason again came and quickly assessed that the battery exploded and replaced and repaired. Didn't even charge which was unnecessary and kind. Can't say enough about this family owned business. I had penguin air tell me I needed a new 3200 condenser on a unit that is only 6 years old, I had another company give me a quote for double the price of his repair. Been in Arizona 42 years. Honestly don't remember when we started doing business with LJ Refrigeration but we've been in our current home for 22 years and it's been at least that long. Being in the sales and service industry myself, it is so refreshing to find a company that you can trust and count on to be there when you need them. Paul, Jeff, Jenn and the rest of the team are beyond caring and responsive. Living is the desert, when you need AC service it's usually not a matter of choice but a matter of need. Last trip they left an invoice and I paid it in full. 2 months later they called and said THEY had made a mistake and that I had a balance due and they would be turning it over to COLLECTIONS if I didn't comply. I do not appreciate threats, especially those resulting from your mistake. I am posting my experience in multiple locations and relating their customer relations methodologies in my meetings at work. Simply asking would have worked much better. If you use them, I would suggest you have them write Paid in Full on your invoice. read more

These guys are great! I have a split unit in my downstairs that was freezing up. Service calls to other companies resulted in them wanting it sell me a new 5 ton unit. HVAC service is as good as some other providers in the Valley. They do have some kinks to work out with their billing system. No capability to take payment at the time of service and homeowner has to track emailed invoices which is a pain. Paying upfront is most efficient for us so inconvenient not to have that option. When we bought our house Feb of 2016, we couldn't turn on the air conditioning unit because it was too cold outside. The unit worked ok during that summer but definitely struggled to keep up. This summer was even harder. We have the equalizer plan but our unit was constantly running and couldn't even maintain an 80° ambient temp. We called LJ Refrigeration on Tuesday afternoon. I hoped that we could get squeezed in for a diagnostic check up the following week. I was completely surprised to get a 7:00 am appointment the following day!! They were efficient and very informative. They gave us tips on maintaining our unit through monsoon season as well as a regular mantinence schedule. Their price was more than reasonable and within minutes of the diagnostic my house was noticeably better. The unit runs less and keeps the house right where we set it! I am so thankful for L & J Refrigeration! They always answer the phone regardless of the time of day, weekend, holiday, etc. They understand the crisis a customer is in when their AC goes out in the summer. This is the 2nd time they have saved me. I called last night at 9pm the night before the 4th of July and they were here before their scheduled time of 10am-12pm, exceeding expectations already. Jeff quickly diagnosed the problem, I needed a new compressor for my condenser and AC was back up and running cold in 15 minutes! WOW! Last year, I was getting dripping from the top line outside, that is never suppose to drip and it was a Sunday, so called in a panic and Paul was out here same day to fix it. They are trustworthy, reliable, professional, competitively priced, and friendly. I can't ask for anything more!
