ALL that food for less than $24 (tacos were $3.99 each). The carne asada had some kind of marinade (almost like al pastor) that I am not used to, so it overpowered the asada. The condiments to pour on the tacos is okay (I actually used Tapatio from home instead). The portion of asada was super generous!!! I am used to sliced radishes at the side, but the cucumber slices were a nice and a refreshing different replacement. (I wanted to like the asada but it didn't hit the spot.). The carnitas was tender and tasty but too much skin and fat (but that is my fault for not knowing to ask: 'Una orden de carnitas, sin cuero y sin gordito.'- translation: 'An order of carnitas, without skin and without fat.' The beans were okay, but the rice was very good. The portion was very generous, unlike other Mexican restaurants. They're super nice and very customer oriented. I would definitely be back! I think y'all should give it at least one try and let me know what y'all think :) NOTE: The carnitas was even tastier the next day for leftovers and the asada tastes better as well. The tacos I chose were lingua & pastor, served on their homemade tortillas. The tortillas were excellent. Pastor was the best item - true Mexican taco with cilantro & onion. The lingua seemed a little undercooked compared to what I usually see. Only had a couple bites - tasted pretty bad. Accompaniments of rice and beans were fine. Rice was a little more flavorful than your typical Mexican restaurant rice. My final item was a Shrimp tostada. Again the shell was excellent, but then it was covered in what tasted like tartar sauce, had shrimp * lettuce sprinkled on it, topped with plentiful avocado slices. The flavor of this dish was just not good. Sauce was kind of gross. Bad item. This is the something like the 14th "real" Mexican place I've eaten at in town. Upon inspection, typically underwhelming presentation of dull white brown colored stuffed tortilla, the southern cuisine rarely can make their stuff look appetizing especially take out, but they really do pack their wraps well. He chowed down raving for his taste buds nonstop.
