Let me start by saying that I was NOT happy with this place. The location is good but they've moved from Elmwood ave to Teal rd. They just flipped an old KFC it looks like. Remnants of the KFC can still be seen but I like what they've done with their booths. They've done a not so great job at keeping the place clean though. The service was horrible. It looked like they had enough staff on deck. Me and some other customers had to wait a little while to be seated. Some of them were even tired of waiting on their checks that they got up from their tables, while the servers were too busy talking to each other. There were messy booths (see pic) from the time I got there till I left which was at least 45 minutes. There were servers coming out with food, not knowing which table it was going to, and having customers direct them. It was such a shame to watch. My server even got my order wrong and it wasn't even that complicated. Did I mention horrible service? The food itself was not good. I had a couple of tacos and a tostada. The tacos tasted fine but the tostada was dripping badly the second after I took the picture. I saw a burrito going to one of the other customers and it looked massive. Should have tried that instead. Prices are comparable to other Mexican places I've been to in the area. Verdict: Spend your money at one of the other better Mexican restaurants in the area; maybe even right next door.

Found this spot while I was out treasure hunting in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. It is located in a former Kentucky Fried Chicken building that has been painted a fresh vibrant color. They have a wide variety of options (more than your standard Mexican restaurant) that salsa and chips were fresh mad tasty! And the guacamole was fresh and fabulous! I ordered a Sopa but made with chicken it also had beans, onions, cilantro, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. It was great! Everything else I saw coming out looked fabulous! The service was quick and friendly! I will definitely come back when I am in the area.

THEY HAVE A VARIETY OF GREAT AGUAS FRESCAS!!!

they have amazing freshly made aguas frescas! i enoy their taco. they have an amazing atmosphere, the service is great!

I love the ambiance of this restaurant along with the friendly staff. The food is always consistent and well seasoned. Chips came out warm and with a salsa that was not overpowering. The chimichanga especially had perfectly cooked Shrimp, Chicken and Steak. Although the plate delivered with very very runny cheese sauce the flavor was good. The beans were bland and again very liquified. The burrito my wife ordered was excellent in flavor and prepared well, again the plating was with a liquified sauce. Sweet Tea was a refreshing and redeeming beverage, as with most Latino beverages at times the drink can be overly sweet as goes with the cultural preference. This tea was just sweet enough yet ICE COLD. Good experience and I will return. Great people and a family owned atmosphere.

This place was recommended to me as one of the best places to get Mexican food in Lafayette. The taco "salad" had very little lettuce or veggies in it. It was full of rice, beans, cheese, etc so it was certainly delicious but definitely not low calorie by any means if that's what you were looking for in this salad. I had the al pastor meat and it was a great flavor! The chips were decent but you do not get free refills on chips and salsa baskets.

Sweet & efficient customer service. As a "to-go" customer I don't think I got the whole experience. It appeared the restaurant had been busy and there was some small wrappers and clutter - not overly clean. The colors were bright and festive. It was fun to see the tortillas and meals being prepared in the kitchen. The fajitas were tasty and had big portions with more meat than vegetables.

Best authentic tacos I've had besides the stands in southern California. This says a lot as I travel all over USA for work. As other reviews say, the building is a old KFC. I had the guacamole mex with tortillas, 2 al pastor and 2 asada.

Sad when they left Market Square but I do drive to the other side of town now just to eat here I love their guacamole mex and my Auntie loves their tamales (not on the menu). I will continue to eat here for as long as they are open.

Great tacos. Asada and tripa were cooked to perfection. The handmade tortillas were top notch.

I LOVED the restaurant that occupied that space years ago, Adelino's, but it was a totally different type of cuisine, so I didn't go into it comparing the two. The ambiance was great. I loved the way they'd revamped and utilized the space. Our server was attentive initially, but after we'd put in an order for an appetizer and told her we needed a minute to look things over, it took forever for her to come back to take our orders. We didn't see her much after that either. The food wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The queso dip was good, but I feel like you should get more than you do for $10. My boyfriend loved the cheesy birria tacos, but I was less happy with mine. The meat in my tacos was barely lukewarm when they got to the table, which was weird to me; even when I get shrimp tacos elsewhere (when the shrimp isn't fried), the shrimp is at least warm. The fish taco was better than the shrimp taco, but you can get far superior tacos for cheaper at other restaurants around town. We both ordered a Paloma and found them to be very tequila forward and not as effervescent as they should have been; we were expecting carbonation but couldn't taste any bubbles (and barely any grapefruit) at all. I enjoyed it more than he did though. Overall, we're pretty sure Nom Nom is a one and done for us, which is a shame, because we'd heard great things and went into it with high expectations. But for almost $80, the food and service we received just weren't up to par.

Over several visits--both dining in and ordering takeout--I've noticed a steady decline in both service and food quality. Most recently, my order arrived over an hour and a half late. When it finally showed up, the food was completely cold. To make matters worse, I've been unable to get in touch with anyone to resolve the issue, which is especially frustrating as a repeat customer. On top of that, the pricing no longer feels justified given the overall experience. This used to be a place I enjoyed, but unfortunately, it has taken a noticeable turn for the worse. Based on these repeated issues, I don't plan on returning.

We were traveling from…read moreAppleton, Wi to North Carolina and wanted to find a nice place for a fun meal before stopping for the evening. Normally I list the positives and negatives, but I really didn't have anything negative to say. Ambiance - one word... FUN!!! It's well decorated and just a lively atmosphere. Bright lights but also decor of a Mexican temple. They had fun, vibrant almost Latin Club music playing so it was upbeat and lively. Service - the service was great. I had seen some reviews complaining but we had nothing to complain about. On a Saturday night at 7:30 we were seated immediately. The waiter took drink orders, came back to get food orders, and checked on us throughout our visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food - probably some of the best Mexican food I've had!! The chips. - nice and thick and crisp. Could have used more salt but I know many places allow people to salt to their own taste. Homemade Hot Sauce - great flavor and a good amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. Ribeye Tacos - delicious. The onions and jalapeños were cooked perfectly. Even the rice was some of the best I had. Highly recommend putting some of the house hot sauce on it. Pastor street tacos - another delicious dish. The combination of the pastor and pineapples with cilantro and onion was perfect. Fajita Salad - had a bite of my daughter's food and it too was good. A good combination of vegetables and meat that I would consider for next time. Overall I would love to stop back here another time if I'm passing through Lafayette. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend you do!!

The service started off fine, but after we placed our order, our waiter was virtually nonexistent. We never got checked on, and it was difficult to get any attention. The food was below average. The tortillas were hard and served cold, the cheese sauce lacked flavor, and the green salsa wasn't good either. Overall, nothing we ordered stood out in a positive way. The strangest part came at the end. The waiter dropped off the check and then stood at our table awkwardly waiting for us to pull out a credit card instead of giving us a moment to review the bill. It made for a very uncomfortable ending to an already disappointing meal. With so many good Mexican restaurants in the area, I wouldn't choose to come back.
