It's been a while since I updated my review for the Williamsville Lloyd Taco Factory. I've been a pretty consistent customer over the last couple years and looked forward to coming in to grab a burrito to go. In the same time frame though, I noticed the size of my burrito getting smaller, while the price has gone up (albeit not by much). My most recent visit confirmed that for me. I stopped on Tuesday, 02/06/2026, around 7:30pm and placed my order from the self-service kiosk right next to the order counter and where the cooks make the magic happen. Over the last couple years, I've noticed that the cooking crew aren't as friendly, quirky as they used to be, they don't say anything except to call out "order for the bar" or the name on a takeout order. Now, I don't mind self-service ordering whatsoever as many times I just want to get in, order, and get home, but you lose a little bit of the personality, the charm of the place, especially when the crew making the food have a more reserved, cool demeanor towards customers. They seem to get along with each other well enough, which is good. No complaints on waiting times though, it really varies on how busy the place is or how complicated the orders are, but generally I get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The inside is spacious though with plenty of tables/chairs, booths, and a good-size bar with a few bartenders slinging drinks and cocktails. The few times I dine in, I grab a seat at the bar, and the bartenders are usually courteous, friendly. Note on parking, I've never had a problem finding a spot here, there's a smaller side parking lot and a large lot in the back. My go-to order for Lloyd is the Dirty South Burrito with rice, no beans, and medium spice sauce, which I ordered, along with another favorite, the Cortez Salad (no protein) adding their pickled red onions, for takeout. When it comes to the quality of food at Lloyd, it's consistently prepared fresh and high quality! I don't worry about the freshness and quality of ingredients at Lloyd, but what is concerning is the portion sizes. Lloyd's burritos used to be huge, "thicc", heavy, but the last several times I've ordered one, they haven't been that big - More tortilla than protein and the other good stuff inside. What's odd though is that when I sit and order at the bar, I order the same burrito and it comes out exactly how I remember it - Huge, "thicc", heavy. I don't know why but it looks like ordering to go they make it a little smaller. What really prompted me to write this update though was the size of my Cortez Salad. Each time I've ordered one to go, it comes in a clear, larger-sized plastic salad container, but this most recent visit, my salad came in a smaller, black container. I would understand the smaller container if I had selected a smaller size, like a side salad-size, but there's no option, as far as I can tell, to change the size. Plus, this is another situation where when I dine in, the Cortez Salad is big like I remember it being. I say all this as these two items used to get me more than full but on this most recent visit, I was still hungry. With the prices going up here too, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. I like Lloyd Taco Factory in Williamsville, but the last several to-go orders have been underwhelming. Plus, it'd be nice to have the cooking staff be a little more friendly with customers, especially later in the evening when I usually stop in. I really hope the takeout food sizes can be reviewed and adjusted though. I'll certainly be back (I can't stay away from the Dirty South Burrito!), but I think I need to give Lloyd a break for a little while. read more

Braised beef Tricked Out Nachos - 3/5 in taste, quality and quantity. $12.69 Had to pay $1.69 more for queso and guacamole. Jarrito drink $3.59 Overall, for the $22.77 meal I would give a 3/5. Not bad. Not great. For fraction of the cost, nearby Mexican restaurant Las Divinas Dos/ Celito Lindo on Transit makes a killer tasty Barbacoa beef brisket taco (very similar to this tricked out taco reviewed here) for little over $4 that can't be beat in authenticity and taste. $13 for a margarita on the rocks at Lloyd's was nice but wayyyy too pricey. Bartender was nice so I tipped her $1. So that's a $14 margarita plus a $22.77 meal. I finally made it to Lloyd Taco. After hearing about and it's food truck many years. Glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll be back soon because the price is too high for what you get. What brought me to Lloyd's on a Thursday night was the "Music on Main Street" event. Lloyd's had a very lively and fun merengue band playing. I believe they have different Latin artists on Thursday night evenings. read more

Not your traditional taco joint, know that before you come. You're getting more modern and creative tacos. That being said, the dirty south is my favorite. Very good. I'd suggest getting the burrito because the tacos are so small that's it's almost pointless to get them. More of a snack than anything. It is a laid back atmosphere with a nice bar inside (some outdoor seating available too.) Cant speak on the drinks but I'll definitely try when we're back again. read more

After getting massages at the nearby Woodhouse Spa on a very cold holiday afternoon, my mom and I stopped at Lloyd Taco Factory on Main Street in Williamsville for a casual bite. It was my first time at this location even though I usually visit the Hertel spot when I'm home. It was a pretty chill, early in the day visit which made it very relaxing, and the perfect ambiance for a post-massage meal. Even though I was so disappointed to learn the spring rolls were out (one of my favorites!), I happily discovered that my go-to (the Skinny Thai tofu taco) did not disappoint. The tofu was nicely crunchy, topped with that delicious savory peanut sauce and fresh slaw flavors. The balance of heat and texture are delightful. Overall, the service was fine, prices were reasonable, and the food was tasty. I'll definitely return when I'm back in town... spring rolls or no spring rolls... but here's to hoping for spring rolls! read more

I love Lloyd's creative dishes, but I'm over the order by touchscreen. I know it's in a lot of places, but Lloyd's is not fast food and it isn't a good fit for a touchscreen system, in my opinion. The bathrooms at this location were dank and gross. The walls are chipped and damaged all along the restaurant. I know it's supposed to be a rugged vibe but it's giving trash, not a vibe of the place that charges $13 a cocktail. They also don't have a sugar free drinks to grab with food which is pretty inconsiderate of those with sugar management issues. My chicken was somehow dry even with sauces on it. Anyways the food was good, although the corn didn't have any of the Mayo on it for some reason so it wasn't as good as I remembered. The ambiance is nice. What happened to lloyds? I used to come here regularly, starting with the food trucks and then with the factory. Food is now pricey and mostly small portions. My tacos had barely any meat. Ordered takeout for lunch and I love living so close to the taco factory. Instead of my usual chicken burrito, I went with the Big Lloyd to try something new. The Big Lloyd burrito was great. I got it with rice and it really tasted like the burger version of it. I liked the addition of the rice with it to give it a little more of a burrito feel rather than just a wrap. I also had an order of the nachos and some churros. The nachos were missing the toppings besides the queso and chicken which wasn't great but they were still good. The churros were phenomenal and might be my favorite in the area. Ordering and pick up was super fast and easy. Besides forgetting the toppings for the nachos, our order was perfect. I love the Snozzberry collaboration with Community Beer Works...and that's why I came. The first visit I had was fabulous and I would have given them 4 stars. However, the second visit they had removed their covid protocols and it just wasn't the same. Here's the deal...their covid protocols meant a server came to my table and took my order. When they removed them, I had to walk up to the counter and order. (More like a deli.) While that all in all isn't a big deal, the price I have to pay is more consistent with a sit down place with a server. If I'm having to go up to the counter and order, like a deli, the prices should be lower. So, the lower rating is all about value. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it, it was just a bit overpriced. It also was extremely loud when they went back to pre-covid capacity and I didn't find it very enjoyable. read more

This is not a classic Mexican restaurant. For a long time my expectations were strangely out of touch. I wanted from Lloyd something that they actually don't deliver. I didn't understand what people love about this place until I finally looked closer at the menu. Actually, the best way to order is using their website as a guide. Learn what the options are and what's the best combination of ingredients you would enjoy. At least from the beginning of a relationship with Lloyd it's a good idea. My partner always likes their old school Braised Beef Burrito. "Antibiotic and hormone-free beef shoulder that is seared on a hot griddle and braised in a tomatillo and ancho chili based broth for up to 15 hours. After that, we shred it and serve it hot and fresh in its cooking juices with shredded Monterey Jack cheese, your choice of organic black beans and/or rice, shredded green cabbage, and our house-made Chimi and Roja sauces, all inside of a flour tortilla shell." I tasted it and it was super flavorful, moist and all around delicious. It's not a steamy hot kind of food, so be prepared. My recent choice of a Dirty South Burrito was a risky business. I wasn't sure how sweet and savory would play together in this case. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out. The sweetness of maple syrup was just slight underneath the whole pallet of different flavors. To me, that's how chicken and waffles are supposed to taste together. The sandwich also had a satisfying crunch in it. Bite after bite, crunch after crunch... Yum! The order of Reg Nacho with queso cheese came without home-made Roja salsa. No one asked about the spice level. The easiest way to deal with the issue later was skipping it all together, I suppose. Next time I'll know better how to order. The Williamsville location is specious, colorful and lively. The bar area looks like a fun place to hang out around. The music was also very good. It was lunch time and I felt energized and ready for the next challenge of the day after having just half a portion of my food. The burrito was big and filling. read more

I received I message from Lloyd's immediately after my first review asking if I had any time to share to further explain exactly what happened during this incident. I responded that I would be more than happy to discuss it with them and was really impressed by their customer service. Good or bad it's extremely rare to hear anything about a review. I did receive a call and we discussed the missing cocktail. To this point I have to say that I have never had any problem at all with food quality or order mistakes over all the years I've ever ordered from Lloyd's. So the only thing that was different was the Door Dash element. Lloyd's has continued to make the pick up as simple as is possible for the dashers to prevent any issues like this from happening. They have to put beverages in a separate bag to prevent any possible spills on to the food. So even though the cocktail was circled with a big red pen on the receipt that was stapled to the food order that the dasher picked up, apparently he still did not see it. They are now putting carts up marked alphabetically in the hopes that that will prevent any more missing items from orders. So to wrap it up, thanks Lloyd's for your wonderful customer service and delicious food. read more

I was on my way to Johnny's Cleaners with an appetite so I decided to stop at Lloyds for a couple tacos. The place is extremely clean. I ordered two tacos one chicken one beef. When I got them I had to look twice. They were very tiny. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. It hit the spot. The workers are very friendly also. I didn't ask them if they made bigger tacos that's my bad. But if you go there order more than two tacos you won't be disappointed and the price is right. I'd definitely come back again. My daughter and I stopped at this Lloyd's on a whim on a Monday evening. We tried to go to Chipotle across the street first, our usual burrito go-to, but they were closed. I've never been to Lloyd's, but since they were open, and my vegan post-basketball-practice daughter was hungry, the time had come to give Lloyd's a go. I was unfamiliar with the Lloyd's set-up, and assumed it was a Chipotle'esque experience, where you go down the line and pick your burrito innards as you go. But this is not the case. The burritos were pre-set options on a menu on the wall. And the vegan protein options were surprisingly lacking. After you order and pay, the burritos are made behind the counter, but not in the on-demand lunch-line way like Chipotle. You step away and wait until your name is called. Regarding drinks, it is a very limited bottled drink selection; no diet soda options at all, no fountain drinks, and no refills. Across from the food-ordering line is a full bar, if libations are to your liking. The restaurant seating area here is going for trendy and hip, definitely dressier than Chipotle. It is a stylish bar, with dark lighting, loud bar music, and loud bar patrons. My teen daughter was post-practice soggy, and I was basketball-mom-sweats-and-messy-bun, so we did not fit in with the rest of the clientele, which was much more young-adult-casual-classy. We segregated ourselves to the front window counter-height seats, which was fine. It didn't seem like a big deal that we were there all frumpy, but just a heads up that the rest of the patrons were generally more kempt. We waited about ten minutes or so for our burritos, which was fine. We both went with the Skinny Thai burrito, which is vegan with tofu cubes. The burritos were a decent size, but not quite as rotund as Chipotle. The innards were fresh, but not as bountiful of veggies as preferred. There was definitely room for more cabbage and radishes. The tofu was the star of the show on the Skinny Thai burrito. It was crisp and flavored with a Thai peanut sauce, that had a great taste. But overall the burrito was dry, could have used more of that good sauce. And the tofu was also a pretty small portion. Both my daughter and I said either more tofu or add some beans to amp up the protein would have been better. Two burritos and two bottles of water was over $27. Our food tasted good enough. And sure, it was a decent size burrito, definitely not small. But the somewhat skimpy fillings, the higher price point, and the classier atmosphere missed the mark for us. Plus the plant-based protein options are surprisingly lacking. The only regular burrito plant-based protein option listed is beans. With both Chipotle and Moe's having more plant-based proteins, and both priced better, I prefer those options. I'm a little shocked I haven't reviewed this Lloyd location considering I've been here countless times! Lloyd has become a Buffalo staple when it comes to the taco and burrito game, and when this location originally opened I was thrilled. The restaurant is spacious and they have plenty of parking, which is a nice advantage over the Hertel location. I've eaten here pre-COVID, gotten takeout, and just yesterday I ate in here (my first time since the pandemic began). They changed their style of service (they seat you and then take your order), but I enjoyed it a lot! The staff was all friendly and our food came out quick. I got a chicken El Camino bowl, something I've never tried before. The portion was massive! It was more than enough to leave me feeling full and I loved the pickled reds. We also got the spring rolls, I had a few bites and they were so good, like spinach and artichoke dip all rolled up in a nice fried shell! Lloyd is certainly not authentic Mexican, so don't come in expecting anything of that nature. It's more a fusion of different flavors and cuisines, and it's certainly worth a trip if you're craving something a little out of the box. read more

The world sucks sometimes, but it sucks less when you have food from Lloyd. Setting the scene: I've been having a pretty terrible week and decided to end my day with a Dirty South Burrito. I tetter back and forth between the Big Lloyd and the Dirty South, but the Dirty South's fried chicken usually wins out. Picture it, Sicily 1927: a burrito with cabbage, chimi, baby kale, fried chicken, waffle pieces, salsa, bacon aioli, maple syrup, rice, beans, pickled red onions, cilantro, quac (extra fee), crema (extra fee), and anything else you want wrapped in the warm embrace of a tortilla. (If you got that TV reference, we should be friends!) This burrito might not be THE cure depression, sadness, or anxiety, but it comes pretty darn close. Y'all, I swear Lloyd has angels or magical beings in their kitchens. I ordered this burrito for pickup. An hour later (don't ask, it's a long story) when I was finally able to sink my teeth into this burrito, THE FRIED CHICKEN WAS STILL CRISPY!! The chefs at Lloyd are on X-Games mode. I don't know how you do it, but my hat goes off to each and every one of you. I have to rave about Lloyds once again! During this crazy time that we are living in we placed our order over the phone and our order was made within the 15 minute drive we had. When we arrived they had their back garage doors opened everyone was masked and gloved and they put your order on a table so no one is touching anyone. Everyone outside was either in their cars or 10 feet away from each other. Extremely smooth and got home to the best meal ever! I didn't want to write this but last week's visit to Lloyds was not good. I'm pretty regular there and really enjoy the atmosphere, food & drinks. The day i visited, none of this was good. First, it was pouring outside. I park in their back parking lot, only to find i can't use the door to get in and had to go out the front door. Long walk in pouring cold rain. Strike One. I proceed to the bar as i know happy hour usually only lasts till 6, and I was there around 5:30. I ask the bartender where the happy hour menus were, he states, they no longer do that happy hour and now do a reverse happy hour from 12-3pm. Who the heck can go and drink at that time? The sign behind bar indicated 4-6pm, bartender says "oh i forgot to change sign, and i can't change your price even if i wanted because it's like this in the computer". Strike 2!! Their drinks aren't cheap. Lastly, my spouse orders my regular 2 bean tacos and regular nachos. It comes up pretty quickly. It's way more covered in slaw than I've seen before, but that's ok until i take a bite and realize i just ate some sort of meat. I don't eat meat and whatever this is, didn't taste good. I was not happy. I go to the counter and tell them i can''t eat meat and you gave me meat. the kid that took the order, says "oh my bad, I think i put it in wrong"! WTF? So i got 2 black bean tacos and made my spouse eat the meat ones. Unfortunately this is 3 strikes you're out. That was a very bad night all the way around. Plus the walk back to my car in the cold rain. Sorry Lloyd's you were always a good reliable, and I was a good customer along with my family. I will not patronize here for a very long time. We've frequented both the Hertel and Williamsville location many times, since we live in the middle of both. In the summer, we tend to prefer the Hertel location because the patio is great...and we love the neighborhood. In the colder months we tend to gravitate to the Williamsville location since it's not as cramped. It's also closer to work, making it a convenient lunch spot. There are plenty of unique options on the menu, and there is something to accommodate essentially every dietary need/preference. Typically when my husband and I go, we'll each get a burrito or sandwich and an order of regular nachos to share. As previously reviews mentioned they have a tendency to get soggy if they sit for longer than 15-20 mins, but it really doesn't bother us much. Some of my personal favorite menu items are the Dirty South Burrito and the Cracked Out Potatoes. Hands down my favorite thing on the menu is the Crispy Pig Sandwich. It was gone for a period of time but made a triumphant return and I hope it never leaves again! read more

It's your friendly neighborhood taco factory where they know your name because you eat there several times a week 52 weeks a year. Kids love it too. My son cries for Lloyds shredded beef tacos and who doesn't love arcade games and pinball. Our family has eaten most items (meats and veggies) and we have not had a bad meal.
