    Southwestern burger

Wife was in the mood for a good burger. Doesn't get better than Grover's. Huge portions. Cooked to perfection. Wife had Pub Burger (burger of the week) on pretzel roll with beer cheese and onion straws. I had the Southwestern Burger. Split basket of fries and onion rings. Service was excellent too. Rings and fries were amazing... little pricey but it's worth it. Cash only establishment .

Food service & ambiance 100% This is an old building & has a cozy ambiance. The wait staff is attentive & friendly. I ordered the turkey Thanksgiving dinner burger, the whole thing was delicious with homade ingredients including the mashed potatoes :) we shared a basket of golden fries cooked to perfection. My husband had the cowboy burger it came a tad underdone when he ordered "medium well", he didn't eat a lot of it but took it home for left overs :). Our son had a chicken finger grilled cheese made to order - he liked it a lot! They had big ditch hay burner on draft, unsweetened iced tea was very good & rootbeer in bottles. This is a cash only establishment with an atm on site.

Well, I remembered having the cheeseburger soup a few years ago and when my daughter was going there recently for a dinner party, I asked her to bring me back some cheeseburger soup. I remembered liking it and my taste buds were amped up but soon disappointed. It really reminded me of fake plastic cheese soup that they put the ingredients in, so it was really hard for me to get past that taste and consistency. It was not easy to handle the lettuce either this time for some reason. Not a normal soup ingredient, but certainly part of the cheeseburger soup experience. I was disappointed in this batch and it wasn't how I remembered it. It's a classic menu item for this restaurant but I'm out... not going to try it anymore. Maybe I will find another item to enjoy next time I'm out that way, but for this takeout experience, no thank you.

I think this is another place that lives on its past, it has a loyal following that love what it was and don't see it changed! It's history of " best burgers in town" not even close! We went because our companions picked it. It a neat old bar room which was nice. The service was friendly but slow , there were only 4 or5 other tables so it wasn't packed. I ordered the sharp cheddar burger medium. It was big and more on the well side so it was dry, no juice! The cheese was not sharp it was like regular yellow cheese! The wife said the same about hers! We got the fries and onion rings combo , they were very good and flavorful! The drinks were high price. for a corner bar, it's not a high end martini bar. Will not return

We had very high hopes when entering Grover's. Have heard many people say "best burgers in Buffalo ". The decor is cute old time bar, waitress was friendly but on the slow side. I had the Rustler and partner had a cheddar burger. They were Hugh and even though ordered medium, on the dry side. They also could have had more toppings. 2 in our party of four had the cheeseburger soup which was very good. One had the Cajun wings which he said we good but not outstanding. The fourth person had the burger of the week, a take on the "Big Mac" and said it was okay. Not too many beers on tap but a good cocktail list. No sides come with burgers so we split a basket of rings and fries. Altogether our bill was much higher than expected, drinks menu had no prices and each person had 3 drinks. Considering how pricey it was, $191 for 4 of us to have burgers, don't think we will be returning.

Be prepared to wait, small dining area with a decent size bar you have to check in on a chalk board then wait to be seated. Ordered a burger portions are big the burger was cooked just right with amazing flavor highly recommend

We've been to Grover's before but never gave a review, walking in it's that small town feel dining experience because well the inside is definitely cozy. We were immediately seated by our waitress Mary who btw was amazing! She got our drinks and food orders placed in near record time. We got a Reuben, an order of kids chicken fingers and I got the Cajun wings. The Reuben was thick and loaded with meat and cheese, a real handful of a sandwich. The kids fingers were crispy and a good size, my child gave it a big thumbs up. The wings were a touch over cooked and the dry rub definitely didn't fit my normal order but I wanted something different. I love bleu cheese and this had some big chunkies in it and I Loved it. Great experience there and everyone left full and happy. Definitely worth a visit.

Th e service was great and our server was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Bruiser burger and it was fresh and delicious. The 1/2 and 1/2 basket of onion rings and fries was great too. Highly recommend and bring cash!

Food is never a disappointment! Burgers are massive. Local favorite. The place is small and fills up quick during peak meal time. Quick service. CASH ONLY! I had a craving for a burger. They were able to accommodate my takeout order because it wasn't busy yet. Thank you- it hit the spot!

Went to Grovers for lunch. First time since under new ownership. Ordered the burger of the week, a Florentine Burger with lettuce, tomato, sautéed mushrooms, cooked spinach and melted provolone. I requested medium rare and it was actually served medium rare. The burger was good but I will probably not order it again because I didn't really care for the cooked spinach. I'm not a big fan of cooked spinach but don't let my preferences stop you from ordering this burger. I also ordered onion rings. They were very good, tasted freshly made and would order them again even though I was told by an employee that they don't make them fresh but buy them frozen. Grovers is still very high on the list of having the best burgers in Western New York. Go there and find out for yourself.

My favorite place for fish fry. Always good & they don't skimp on portions. Bar prices are quite high.

Food is good, but $8 domestic pints is ridiculous for a burger place. The price per oz is about the same at Sabres games.

Best burger I've had in western New York. It is thicker than a hockey puck and somehow perfectly cooked.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in our overall experience. Each guest is given a sheet of paper where you can select 3 teas. The server didn't explain this was per person so we were confused thinking it was 3 per table. The biggest disappointment for us is that we were given tea bags, which in my opinion is not appropriate for an experience of afternoon tea and really cheapened the experience. As an avid tea drinker, I personally was expecting at least loose tea. We were given one hot tea pot for the table and had to constantly ask for refills until towards the end when the server gave us a second pot. It was a bit dangerous for us trying to pass one kettle around the table of four people as well. They also don't give you any iced water to drink on the side which was disappointing. In addition, no one came to clean out or change out your tea cup when you were moving on to drink the next tea. So I ended having a taste of earl grey in the chamomile tea. For the 3rd tea, I ended up dumping some of it out on my plate and wiping with my napkin. Eek! We did however, enjoy the food. They present you with a 3 tiered tray with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries and jam/butter. We all thought the finger sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious. The sandwich were tasty, but a bit tiny and definitely needed more filling. Overall, I may come back for the food but I was disappointed in the use of tea bags and the inattentive service.
