She opened her hotel room to a couple who were inside. On Saturday, a group of women were given my hotel room and tried to open the hotel room door with my daughter and husband inside. I am unsure how this mistake could be made. Someone could get hurt or valuable could be stolen. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The front desk was not helpful at all.

The suite has a large bedroom and a separate sitting room and a separate private bath. It takes up one whole upper side of the large house. It, like the rest of the inn, was immaculate. We checked in late afternoon and through the beautiful wall-wide windows watched the sun setting over the snow. Gorgeous. Everything about Maple Cove exceeded our expectations. So comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water for a tub in the morning, window seats in both the sitting area and the bedroom for sunrise and sunset views. Beautifully decorated, but not kitschy or cluttered. They also supplied a mini-fridge, a K-cup coffee maker, plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. In the morning Jan made us a gourmet breakfast. I do not exaggerate. An incredible omelet, fruit and yogurt parfait, fresh coffee, grilled sourdough toast, potatoes (perhaps fondant?) and orange juice. Plus homemade cinnamon scones! We loved it and will go back in the summer to use the pool! This may be the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. Thank you, Jan and Mark!

Having Jacob display great service and being knowledgeable about the area as well as the benefits of staying was great! They did an amazing job with this hire. As far as the room, it was clean and modern. It came with a small refrigerator and a nice closet to hang or store your items. The bathroom was nice and bright and the shower had cool little dispensers for the soap and shampoo which actually smelled great! I highly recommend this place due to the nice service provided and the modernization of the hotel!

(Last year not so much) The Marv Herzog Hotel sits along the Cass River we chose the River side view, our room had a jacuzzi & small balcony. Our room was very clean with no visible signs of any issues. Bathroom had body wash, shampoo & conditioner all full. Daily room checks with fresh towels & bed makeover. We didn't feel comfortable on the balcony but the large patio was very nice with plenty of room and seating. Included with your stay is breakfast, typical of most hotels. What surprised us was you receive a drink ticket for 2 drinks German beer , wine or soda & hors d'oeuvres for a happy hour. All staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our refrigerator was not cooling the best & they allowed us to store our freezer packs & food in their refrigerator. Greatly appreciated this. Parking garage is tight, we have a truck and it was snug. No pool as this seems to be more of place for couples not necessarily families with small children. Although there were families there. The town offers a free shuttle which we used but most things are within walking distance. I am giving 4 stars because of the refrigerator & I wish we could have set the air conditioner for the fan to run continuously it didn't seem to have that function. & the tv didn't have a sleep mode. There is an indoor pool - but who wants to swim indoors in the summer - not me. Several of the guests stayed here - so after we returned from the reception we all hung out together in the lobby area at the tables. The clerk was nice enough to let us drink and chat past midnight without kicking us out. It served its purpose, but certainly wouldn't be a destination!
