My fuzzy Pomeranian DD always gets very hairy quickly. This place was recommended by a dear friend and she was not wrong about it. They took their time with each cuts and make sure every cut is nicely done. They took care of him like it was their own pet. My DD hair is so much smoother than before. I can lift him with one hand now. Before I have to use my strength to lift him up with two hands, the dangling hairs get all in the way. Compared to the other places I went, this is by far the greatest one among all. I will come back again without a doubt. Everything is reasonable. Highly recommended to anyone searching for a grooming place.

We took our 5 month old pup Mako for his first trim here through recommendation and were not disappointed! Linda was very patient with our high energy puppy and gave him a complete makeover! We can tell he was comfortable and well taken care of because he was his usual self before and after the groom. Location is in the center of San Mateo, so we were also able to grab a quick bite while we waited. Would definitely come back again for Mako's next groom.

The best thing I love Lnimo is that I could actually see what's going on when the groomers were working on my fur baby. I can tell that the groomers were detail-oriented and gentle to my dog. This place is not big but very neat and stylish - when you walk in, it's a hair dresser workshop and then there is a door for pet grooming. Next time I can give myself a haircut while my dog is getting groomed. Great experience! Thank you!

We stumbled upon this place browsing the 小红书 (Little Red Book) app and decided to book an appointment for our corgi, Captain. The session was about 90 minutes and the results were fantastic. Linda was very attentive to our needs and made sure we left satisfied. Not surprisingly with a corgi, we focused mostly on his butt, but also an overall outline trim. Highly recommend if you are in need of dog grooming. They are conveniently located in Downtown San Mateo, so there are many restaurants and shops around to explore while you wait.

After I picked up my dog from this groomer (our first time there), my 7 lb dog could not turn his head or lift it up and he screamed in pain when I tried to pick him up. I had to take him to emergency care and spend over $600 more to make sure he was okay. He is on pain medicine now which seems to be helping. I think he was manhandled by the groomer. I should have gone with my gut. I hesitated to leave him alone with Derik who I wasn't expecting as the groomer (or at all). I was corresponding with someone named Linda to schedule my dog's first (and last!) appointment with them. We had to reschedule a few times due to conflict then finally we agreed to a 2:00 pm appointment. When I got to the place at 1:47 pm and I texted I'm here outside your door, the response was "ur appointment is 2pm, so someone will open at 2pm, please wait in ur car, arrive let u know" I asked if I can come by at 1:57 as I had to pick up my son from school. Several minutes later, a guy walks towards the unit where the grooming is done and asks me if I'm here for the 2pm grooming. So we walk up the stairs to the unit, he unlocks the door, and it' s just him and me and our dogs, and no security cameras to record the grooming. I said, "Oh, I was expecting Linda" to which he replied "she's my partner but I will be grooming your dog." I was a little nervous to leave my dog all alone with him but we had already rescheduled the appointment several times and I probably annoyed him by that as well as asking if I could drop off my dog a few minutes early (at least that's the vibe I got from him). I really didn't like the idea of no one else being around and no cameras, but I said to myself I just need to trust he'll be good with my dog. I regret it 100 times! Seeing my dog not himself and in pain is disconcerting and heartbreaking. When I texted Derik to share my dog's changes and pain he was in after the grooming, he not surprisingly said your dog seemed fine the entire time. I will not be going back and would not recommend this place if your dog's safety is important to you. Here's my dog in the photo. His head was positioned this way for 2 days. . he could not turn it without screaming in pain. Also, he did not have an appetite for 3 days. I was so anxious his organs would start shutting down but fortunately he regained his appetite and is slowly on the mend! read more

My pup usually got really nervous going to the groomer, but she looked happy, relaxed and very pretty after being groomed at Lnimo. Linda and Derek took good care of my dog and the atmosphere is relaxing, with their shop dog hanging out too! High recommend! read more

We took our cavapoo here to be groomed. I was really excited about this place. I think I bookmarked it before we got our dog. All the pictures were great, but he came back looking awful. Everyone in the family continues to make fun of the haircut and ask when it will grow out. His fur is uneven. It looks like chunks were hacked out of it. read more

Best groomer in the bay !!! Its hard trusting someone with your dog. Finally I has found him new groomer . They also did a great job trimming his face. No one can do that EXCEPT here at LNIMO ! I've been coming to get my own hair done with Linda and King for many years now and was super delighted that they opened LNIMO in their space! I brought in my fur baby Beau for a wash and trim while my boyfriend got his hair done and it was amazing! Linda and Loanshark was super gentle and caring during the whole process and Beau got a little flower at the end as well! Super convenient location for folks in the Sam Mateo area and also if you ever need a haircut yourself, you and your pup and get pampered at the same time! I recently find out about this place in San Mateo close to a few of my favorite place so I went to give it a try. Very convenient. Drop of my dog n went to shopping at the Japanese marketplace close by. The owner or manager was very nice n friendly. The dog came out smelling good looking good n happy. Great spot! Took our buddy Scooby in was immediately greeted by the staff with a friendly smile. They were able to bond with Scooby quickly. We left and picked up Scooby after about 90 minutes. The whole process was easy and painless and Scooby was looking great. Definitely recommended for all pet owners, there's also plenty of restaurants nearby to help kill time. read more

Linda, owner of Lnimo, is passionate about pups and her passion sure translates to the high standard and quality of her work. She is gifted to have a special way with her pups. Anxious, nervous pups seem to become calm under her spell. Take your pups to have a spa day with Linda. Your pup will love you for it. Linda is also very talented as a hair color specialist. She colors my hair and I have had strangers came up to me to compliment her work. I highly recommend Linda either for a pup spa day or for your hair coloring. Be beautiful and happy! read more

DOOM had a bath, as well as the teeth, brushing and mouth spray, and we had specifications on what parts of his fur should be trimmed, which would just actually be around his feet, and Gustavo executed perfectly. We actually had doubts for this groomer, as a previous one, returned to our dog with red eyes, which was alarming since it wasn't communicated prior to the session ending, which for us was a really big deal. We gave them another shot, and Gustavo did really well. We had a slight language barrier issue, and Gustavo whipped out the Google translate, which I think was very proactive, and answered any questions that would help put us at ease. On top of that, he also sent a few pictures during the session of DOOM to put us more at ease, which I really appreciated. Safe to say, I will happily be rebooking for the next grooming session. I could go on and on about Nathan and how great he and grooming team are, we are huge fans of his shop "A Cut Above" in Castro Valley. He grooms both of our Standard Poodles, they get so excited when we ask them if they "want to go see Nathan!" We call it a Spa day! He and his groomers take time to get to know and love "their" dogs. I can't tell you how many years we have been taking our dogs (who are pets, not show dogs) from San Mateo to Castro Valley to be groomed. It was definitely worth the trip, but we are excited about him opening up a shop in San Mateo! I hope you will give Nathan and his staff the opportunity of grooming your dogs as well. Your lies and exaggerative response is very unprofessional. However, it just validates why this post was made. If our dogs were so neglected wouldn't that mean your services were subpar considering we've been utilizing your service since 09/11/2024 (appointment scheduled for 09/12/2024 @1:45p. On 12/03/2025 @2:30p your groomer did not follow basic instruction and we offered a basic solution, we pay for all other service and you cover the fur trimming since that was the complaint. This wasn't the only time we had an issue but chose not to bring it up since it was minor as well. 12/04/2025 I called your company and was told you would get back to us. Instead we received a text asking to rate the service. You didn't respond until weeks later via phone call to tell us you would talk to your groomer and get back to us. Again, weeks went by without a response from you so I made this factual review. Again, interesting how you immediately called my wife's phone to offer money to take the review down. Now look at the way you approach your customers online for all to see. You fabricated lies, slandered us, accused us of animal neglect and insinuated we wanted a complete grooming of two dogs for free. I truly hope many whom are searching for a groomer take the time to read this review and your response. It now makes sense as to why you have such a high turnover with your grooming staff now that I see the way you treat a minor complaint from a repeat customer. In closing, it is advised that you not take to an online forum with lies and accusations of animal neglect because a customer complained and offered a more then fair remedy. Now look, you lost another customer of two dogs.
