The only place I will ever trust. My shiba comes here for both boarding and grooming. Everyone here is super nice and friendly and I know all the dogs are taken care of. Like everyone else in this pandemic, we're desperate to find a grooming place for our fur babies. Our regular groomer in San Jose unfortunately has closed indefinitely due to Covid19. My pup is a Cavapoo, mix of Cavalier and Poodles, a hybrid breed that requires regular grooming. It's hard to find a place and a groomer that can understand how I want my pup to be trimmed. Luckily we found Fluffy Doggy through an Instagram friend's recommendation! Fluffy Doggy didn't disappoint at all! From the appointment making process, on the phone to in person, the customer service is 5/5 stars! The staff working there is nice, cheerful and very helpful. I ended up having to move my original appointment date to a later date. The staff gladly help me with that and made it a breeze! Our groomer was Rachel. My pup fell in love with her at first sight. He came up to her right away, wagging his tail excitedly and greeting her like he already knew her. Rachel asked me how I wanted Butter's haircut and delivered EXACTLY what I asked for!! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I'd been to a bad groomer before and I noticed how antsy, anxious and depressed my pup Butter was after the grooming. This was NOT the case at all with Butter at Fluffy Doggy. He was happy, energetic and in good spirit when I picked him up. As a pet owner, that's all I hope for - exactly what I want my pet to be groomed and treating my pet nicely. Fluffy Doggy exceeds my expectations. There're plenty of parkings. Fluffy Doggy looks small on the outside but very spacious and clean inside. It doesn't smell at all like some other places. Did I mention I live in San Jose? This will be my second review for Fluffy Doggy because I am so happy with them. My first review was years ago for my Fendi..now that I have two dogs, I have to share my recent experience with them. My red poodle Louie loves me and humans so much that he has severe separation anxiety. He will scream and cry when I drop him off at the groomers and leave him. I honestly was so touched from my last appt at Fluffy doggy. I always request Kana because she is very good at what she does. My dogs come home looking like teddy bears! But not only is Kana an amazing groomer, she is a devoted animal lover. Dogs know our scents and our voices and I was expecting to hear Louie's cries as I walked in to pick him and Fendi up. But I didn't hear him at all. When I peeked into the grooming area, there he was. His little fluff ball head was poking out of a dog crossbody Kana was wearing. She wore it and put him in there to comfort him and he was so silent and so content because he was right next to her as she was cutting another dog! I was so so touched that Kana took such good care of him. Kana really knows how to read dogs and care for them. I highly highly recommend Fluffy Doggy and Kana for grooming services. We were walking our pup on Broadway, in Burlingame, when we saw this really happy dog running into a shop - this was when Fluffy Doggy was still in Burlingame. Our curiosity got the best of us and we followed him into Fluffy Doggy. We have been taking our dog to Fluffy Doggy since he was 4 months old, going on 9.5+ years. But the last few grooms were over an above amazing how she worked with our dog and his health issues. He could barely stand and yet she had patience and still gave him a perfect groom up until his last groom. Unfortunately, last week we had to put our sweet little Maui down. This rating is delayed but long overdue. Front desk staff and groomers are sweet and do a great job. Rating is mostly for the owner who reprimanded me in front of her staff for a no-show. This was inaccurate because I cancelled the 1 appointment she was yelling at me about. She asked who I spoke with. I did not remember the front desk person's name. It wasn't enough for the owner so she wanted to call me out about the couple of times I was (less than 15 mins) late. I explained I was in between work meetings but I get it, 15 mins late can throw off a schedule. The owner followed me to the parking lot as I walked out. I did not want to get in a screaming match with her and stated, "do not raise your voice at me"! In any case, groomers are good but good luck with the owner who lacks professionalism. It's really too bad she couldn't initiate a professional conversation with the intention to resolve any disconnects. read more

We have a great first experience at Fluffy Dog with our 1.5 year old goldendoodle, Frutsi. We'd had to cancel two successive appointments with our former groomer in the months that preceded this appointment. Due to capacity constraints beyond their control, each appointment was followed by a 4-5 week scheduling delay. By the time I found Fluffy Doggy, Frutsi's fur was well above the length we prefer and despite our efforts, she had a couple of stubborn knots on her neck near her ears. I let Fluffy Dog know about the knots when I checked Frutsi in and fully anticipated that my groomer would propose to shave her--I anticipatorily proposed it! Our groomer wasn't concerned, but I nonetheless emphasized that I would be comfortable with that outcome if she thought that was best. I returned a few hours later to find a very happy Frutsi groomed beautifully to the desired length and style. While I was checking out, the attendant at the front desk mentioned I can book appointments for the same time of the week at a predetermined interval for a month out. That is brilliant! Fluffy Doggy is amazing. My little corgi Monty loves coming here. I swear every time we arrive, he would go straight through the doors as if he doesn't remember if I was ever there. We are a loyal customer and always comes for Monty's grooming. They make him so fluffy and cuts his butt into a cute fat peach :D We also tried their boarding too and Monty has always came back happy and does not want to leave. The owner is naive and I can tell that she only cares about money rather than the dogs. When walking into the facility, you can peek into grooming and there were so many misbehaving dogs, you could just tell any dog was accepted there, which I consider to be a hazard to the other dogs. Also, every time my dog comes back from a day there, he's always so dirty so of course I assume the facility is dirty itself. He smelled like dirty wet dog every time he came back from daycare; I have no clue why the facility had him reek so bad. I have a friend who brought their dog for a trial day and reported their dog also coming back with a funky smell. I'm glad I'm not just paranoid. read more

I have brought my dog here for a few trial days before and have been more than dissatisfied with the service. First of all, my dog came back wet for some unknown reason and with their paws seeming very red. They also tried expressing to me that my dog was having behavioral issues but when I asked a different worker about it on another day I came back, they said they were doing just fine. The communication between their work team basically threw me off and I didnt know what to believe so I took it upon myself to review the livecam their business provides. I watched while my dog was getting continuously harassed and humped by another dog while the worker in group was just on their phone. Mind you, there was poop and pee yet to be picked up also. All im saying is I shouldn't be paying just for my dog to not even be supervised. I'm never bringing my dog back here again. read more

Really awesome place. Definitely love that my boys are here. They obviously have great service and other good reviews. So I'll use my review to tell a story on why they are so great. A few months ago my dog was at their daycare and he had hurt his tail (they looked at the recordings and there was no major fight they missed). They called me to tell me it was bleeding but I missed the calls while at work. When I went to pick him up they told me they had taken him to the doggie hospital because the tail wouldn't stop bleeding. Not only did the owner of Fluffy doggy sit with us at the vet during the procedure. But they paid all the medical bills. Because of this action and how much my dog loves them and seems excited to go there I completely trust them with my two dogs 5 stars! P.S. My only request for improvement would be to increase weekend hours + close at 8 instead of 7, even if I had to pay more. Not a deal breaker, but it would be amazing. read more

So, today at Fluffy Dog Hotel, my dog was sniffing a dog. This dog almost attacks my dog. When my boyfriend picks up my dog they tell us that my dog shouldn't come back. So, wait, another dog almost attacks MY dog and we are asked not to come back?? My dog passed the assessment and has been there for nearly 2 months. Do not bring your dog here if he likes to play.
