The groomer 1) did not follow directions, 2) charged me more than what was quoted, and 3) insisted I pay in cash or check. First, I asked the groomer not to cut my dogs' hair. When I got there to pick them up, I saw she cut both of them and it was super choppy. :( Second, when I called to make an appt, I was quoted $70-90 since my dogs are 5 and 6 lbs respectively. When I checked out, she said my dogs would be $120/each. Nowhere on the price list does it say $120, by the way. I said I didn't ask to get them cut, she said it was a touch up and she said they are medium size dogs. I'm like what? She pointed to the sign and said it's because they are over 12". I'm like huh? It's a 5lbs dog, but either way, I was quoted $70-90. She said she could do $110/each. At that point, I didn't want to argue about how small my dogs are, but I know they are not over 12". Then, when it came to payment, she said the credit card machine wasn't working, so I had to pay in cash or check. Who carries checks or cash nowadays? I asked if they take Zelle or Venmo, and she said no. Ultimately, I went to the ATM to get her the cash, but I walked away thinking-- what kind of establishment is this that doesn't have transparent pricing, quotes me one thing and demands another, and doesn't take any forms of digital payment? A part of me thought she was just going to pocket the cash. ‍ At the end of the day, it's not the price-- like I'd rather the establishment just say upfront that it's $120 and $30 is for gratuity if that's the case... at least I know what I'm getting.

I told her that was not the standard hair cut for a Schnauzer. I understood it would be more work and offered to pay more money. She said no. Her tone of voice was very rude. Why didn't Groomingdales tell me their policy of not untangling matted hair in the first place? It would have saved me from wasting my time. Then, I called O My Dog in Foster City. The owner Carlos said of course they could untangle the matted hair.

He was able to get to my location in 45 mins after I sent out the quote request. I was looking for a new groomer for my golden retriever specifically because he hates getting his nails trimmed. Enzo was very reassuring in getting that done without issues. I also needed a full bath, body trim, paw trim and brushing/deshedding. The results were great! Marco accidentally cut my puppy while grooming her and didn't take responsibility for doing that…read more Andrea the manager called me after a day (!) to shake responsibility and say that this cut was there before. But at the same time she said that they will pay for the visit at the vet (if the cut was not Marco's fault why would you pay for the vet visit?). I was furious when I saw that. I sent images to my vet and she was concerned about the depth of the cut (she said it's definitely looked like a cut made by grooming!) and that we should make sure it's not infected. My puppy tried to lick the area and we had to put her on an Elizabeth cone for two weeks. It took long time to heal. I was a loyal and happy couture using their services with my previous dog for over 14 years. The fact that it took the manager Andrea a day to call me and check on my dog only to say that the cut was there and not to take ownership for it- lost me. I will have to look for a new place!!!

Extremely disappointed with Alpha Pet Mobile Grooming. I booked grooming with Henry for my two cats…read more(tabby and calico), and each appointments lasted only about 15 minutes for a wash, cut, dry, and nail trim. It was obvious afterward that they were not properly washed and their nails were not clipped. I'm attaching the photo I took of her nails after they said they completed the nail trim. Clearly you can see they are still over grown. When I reached out, I was told someone would come back to fix it- no one ever did. Later, they falsely claimed a groomer had already returned. After I called that out, they said the groomer wasn't comfortable with my cats, which was never mentioned during the appointment. Poor service, lack of honesty, and no accountability. They refused to offer a refund. I would not recommend.
