First - the Cons…read more Hours are less than desirable. 8 to 6 Monday to Friday, no Saturday. Hard to get to when you work the exact same hours over an hour away. Some of us work for a living. Communication can be lacking. Updates on items / processes are hard to come by. Pros - Had a Streamlight go bad within a few months of purchasing it. Did not buy it at Streichers, but Streamlight website said to send to an authorized repair center, which is Streichers in Butler, WI. It was the closest to me, I thought that is the best to do. Sent the flashlight VIA UPS. No confirmation they received it or what they were going to do. However, I got a voicemail a few weeks later that the flashlight was ready for pick up at their store. I called and left a message saying it's hard for me to get to the store by 6pm, and to let me know about shipping as I had no problem paying for shipping cost. No call back, however - did receive a brand new flashlight in a nicely packed box the next week. NO charge for shipping. I was very pleased at the end result, for both Streicher's and Steamlight (great warranty). Just wished they would communicate a bit better. Overall a solid 4 stars and definitely pleased at the result.

The staff is very kind and helpful with navigating the process. They have a larger selection of hunting, fishing, camping, outdoor equipment for sale. They also have a cute selection of clothes and boots for the whole family, infants to adults. They carry a lot of major brands and their own brand which seems like the best value. I'd definitely return and check out the taxidermy installations they have around the store. Parents--this would be a great rainy/cold day activity for the young ones!

I did a quick internet search of the product I was looking for and Cabela's had the best price. The store is huge, but I've been told the Cabela's in Memphis is 10 times the size with the boats in a pond in the store with restaurants and a hotel on the top story. The service was outstanding. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. For the stock, variety and price, I'd make the drive. I was in so much awe that I didn't take many pictures. I'll add when I visit again.

Craig and Becky could have been judgmental of my novice status, but instead, not only welcomed me and treated me with respect and dignity, but really helped me get what I wanted. Craig guided me to buy a .22 rifle as a starter rifle, to get used to shooting comfortably. Then, when I wanted the Ruger Walnut stock on a rifle that came originally with a composite stock, he and Becky started a month-long journey of finding the stock, realizing the trigger guard was attached to original stock, ordering that, finding out internal pieces didn't fit and grinding the inside of the stock down to fit them, finding the trigger guard well was shaped differently and chiseling that out, finding the screws were too short and getting new ones that fit. It was nothing short of amazing. With this first gun, I wanted something special, and for me that was the Walnut stock - I got even more than that - a beautiful custom rifle which I am so happy with! Now, I'll be taking a rifle course with one of them to help me start my journey! I have rarely received such wonderful customer service nor met such great people. Speaking of fancy, if you want to see all of their amazing abilities to coat and cut and customize then this is the sort of place to be. I ended up going with a new nine that I'm super excited about and background came back super fast. If you're smart while you wait, you can go next-door to the deli and get an awesome sandwich too, but you're allowed to eat in the store while you wait. After following up with Silencer Shop I was informed that was not supposed to happen, the kiosks are for all who purchase Suppressors to get the paperwork, fingerprints, photo, all necessary items to get the transfer completed. I have heard several stories of the shady dealings with this store and I do not recommend using this facility for any transactions.
