This place was incredibly rude to my party. We got there and the attitudes toward us awful. Everything was crazy expensive which understandable that you're on capri but 28 euros for a horrible salad is just sad. They advertise free wifi, my friends asked for it and they blatantly told us no.... i'm sorry but what. We all got drinks and shared some dishes, and then they rushed us out. We paid so much money and then basically got kicked out after paying even though we were still enjoying the basically 20 euro drinks we paid for. For a moment during lunchtime, I felt like I was on an ultra-low-cost, bottom-tier airline! ​If you want to smell your neighbor's armpit, eat right on top of them, or simply have your foot crushed by someone lowering their sunbed, then this is the place for you. ​If you like concrete, neglect, and are dying for the thrill of dodging obstacles just to walk down the steps to the sea, book with your eyes closed (I'm not exaggerating, just look at the photos). ​Want to feel like a criminal? Try bringing out a sandwich or a snack. Clubs of a much, much higher caliber are far more flexible on this matter. ​The sea? You are booking in a harbor. Keep that expectation in mind so you don't ruin your day. ​How much does this paradise cost for two people? 100 Euros for two sunbeds, an umbrella, and a coffee. ​Advice to the management: You have objectively gone too far here. I'm not talking about the price (which aligns with the madness of Capri), but the incredibly low-level services you offer and a beach club that is objectively unkempt. We had some time before our ferry departed and we have this great spot on the water. And after a long day in town, this was perfect. The service was quick on seating us and taking our order. The beer was cold and there were many options for some snacks. When you walk in, head towards the rear left to see where we were seated for the picture below. This place is a scam. Menu items are around $30, but then they roll out the "fresh fish" like it's some special experience. The menu says €9 per 100 grams--but the server never tells you the weight. We expected, like every place that serves bistecca alla fiorentina, that they'd bring out the fish, tell us the weight, and confirm the price. They didn't. Our portion ended up costing €150, which--conveniently--is the exact same price mentioned in multiple older reviews. Same fish. Same scam. Same price. Every year. It's Capri's version of a pickpocket--just with tablecloths. When I questioned the bill, the first waiter had five excuses. He said no one has ever complained. I should've bet him on that lie and pulled up the many Yelp reviews describing this exact same experience. Rather than fix the issue, they doubled down. Another guy--maybe a manager--got even more aggressive. Then they sent a third guy over with the card reader, who told us, "Tip not included." We said, "Great," and told him we'd be tipping zero. That's when things got outright hostile. He flipped us off and followed us out of the restaurant yelling, until the first two waiters physically restrained him. The entire restaurant watched it happen. Don't write this off as a cultural misunderstanding--we've traveled all over Italy and have never had an experience like this. To start off we arrived and asked a few people because we had a reservation that our captain made. They told us to just wait and someone will get us 10 mins later I asked the host who I originally spoke to and told her we had a reservation. She then promoted us to a table which wasn't ready and dirty that took another 5 mins to clean. Took super long to get a waiter to come by and when we asked for water they brought a bottle 2 mins later we see them refilling the glass bottles with tap water and bringing them to people and charging them for it. When the food came it was great thankfully when we asked for the check they said okay he will get it. 10 mins later nothing then we got told we had to pay up front. The woman was super rude to my friend because my friend dropped her napkin in the pasta sauce and she came by with a disgusted look picked it up and shook her head and plopped it back at the table. If you're considering a visit to this beach club, save yourself the disappointment. It took nearly an hour just to get water, followed by another 20 minutes for a glass of wine that was absolutely terrible. When my wife ordered a glass of champagne listed on the menu, they insisted we could only buy a bottle--clearly an attempt to scam tourists. Given this terrible service, we decided to leave right after the glass of wine, and they still charged full price for the chairs. This place is an absolute tourist trap with horrendous service. Do yourself a favor and choose any beach club in Marina Piccolo instead. read more

Smeraldo!!! By the sea!! Si! Capri doesn't have that many restaurants. It does and it doesn't. The marina has many tiny little spots but most aren't as big or on the water. This one is! Came for the views!! Stayed for the food. First: Capri is €€€€€. If you've been to Italy before and traveled around these islands, you'd know Capri is overpriced. Mainly because it's a smaller island, way harder to navigate and bring stuff around. You can get much better, fresher and more seafood choices in nearby islands. Which I've been to several times every year. But when in Rome! This works!! Menu was great: all the fresh catch table side! Each fish start around €60-€75 euros! You can't take half a fish. Gotta get the whole! But so fresh! Even the prawns are tasty! Again, you'd get way more in nearby island which are way less touristy!! This is in the most touristy part of Capri! The marina. The views are stunning so it's worth it! When in Capri, eat all kinds of caprese! Obviously! Ravioli caprese was better than other places we've had on the island. My pasta with mussels: probably the sweetest mussels ever! And that whole sole fish!! We got it in a mixed fried. Took probably extra long: came way after our first courses. But it was good. Quite smaller after though! Overall, I enjoyed this spot. Probably my favorite in the marina. The views! The heat!! And the overpriced but tasty food!! Yes to all! read more

Complete scam of a restaurant! They bring out the fresh seafood to convince you to buy it. DO NOT!! We sadly found out it was 480 euros just for 3 seafood pastas. We don't mind spending money on a nice meal but compared to other restaurants nearby it's a scam! They trick you because the price on the menu is by weight. They weigh the ENTIRE fish instead of the fillet. Our total bill was well over 800 euro for 5 people. It's a bait and switch. Stay away!!!! read more

WARNING: avoid this place at all costs, very shady business practices AND mediocre food. I ordered the fish stew and on the menu it said 35 euros, no mention that it costs 35 PER person. I was very surprised when the bill came to 70 euro a very small portion of fish, that didn't even taste good. It was basic, with a few clams and mussels, bland fish, and calamari. The stew itself just tasted like reduced tomato sauce, it wasn't even worth 35 euro. I told the waiter that I was under the impression that it was 35, and he said he "usually tells people it's 35 per person." I said i didn't want to pay 70, he walked away and came back and said the owner said I mist pay or they will call the police. Surly waiter, terrible service, dishonest and shady. There's tons of other places you can eat in Marina Grande, this is not one of them. Please take my warning and DO NOT go here, they will rip you off. read more

Tucked away behind the ferry ticket booths is this gem of a restaurant. The patio is facing the blue sea and the market bustle of the port & marina fades out. The view is quintessential Capri. Capture the moment and drink in the breeze. Since the patio faces windward, one is spared second hand smoking from nearby patrons. Maitre D Simone explained the catch of the day. Several courses were planned. Dishes were paced appropriately & two bottles of wine later, the meal concludes. The mozzarella is soft & even spreadable. The rock fish cooked in a wine sauce and then filleted & served with pasta is a work of culinary art. The flesh of the fish is crisp in texture - not boiled to mush in too hot a pan and inattentively cooked to rubbery consistency. The pescado de sal - fish baked in a shell of rock salt from the next table looks just as good even after we had eaten our meal. The scallops baked ala Rockefeller almost never made it past the kids. My finicky eaters know the good stuff. The dessert portion was not as well conceived. I suggest that they add Port, grapa, ouzo or a Reisling paired with local fruits like figs or baked pears would have made it 5 Star. Satisfied but not stuffed. I am writing this seven months after the trip. It's not just about thfood but the memories that comes with the meal. I took one star off because the server cleared the bottle of wine off without making sure it was empty. Bad form. read more
