First but definitely not my last time at Loading Zone Philly Steaks. I went here after Fiesta in the Park and was craving something yummy! This was my first time and I got the #2. It was a Philly cheese steak with provolone and onions. It was so good!! They have 2 sizes, 7in and 10 inches. I got the 7 because I wasn't super hungry. Everything went so well together and it wasn't super salty like some of the other Philly cheese steaks I've had in the past. The restaurant is also very clean and the service was fast and friendly. Also the owner was super nice and asked us if everything was good. I always appreciate a place with amazing customer service. This is where I fell in love with a dead cow. My wife is a picky eater. She looked at me side eyes when I told her to get a cheesesteak from here. The look in her face when she took a bite made me feel like she was thinking of another man while staring at me. I didn't know weather to be proud or upset since I finally found a good spot (which is extremely hard to do for her) but that look didn't bother me when I slapped those toasted buns with that fat meat in the middle topped with sweet onions and hard cow milk. I'm willing to bet my acquaintances' lives on the fact that whoever started making cheesesteaks at LZPS grew up in Philly, was a career cheesesteak artist, and only moved here recently to bring delicious cheesesteaks to those of us who have had to suffer so long without them. AND, my review also needs to inform you that the people at LZPS are also phenomenally cool people who know how to follow the special instructions you leave when making a Postmates order. Fulfilling special requests used to be something that I expected from any company who made a promise of delivery. But almost every order I have placed in the last couple of years was incomplete when I received it. So, I get excited when a new potential favorite take out place not only pays attention to your special requests, BUT THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND. Because I'll be honest with you, when there is a place to add "special instructions" to my #Postmates order, I can personally guarantee that whoever is in charge of reading those things will immediately have several questions about my mental health and/or state of mind. When these guys first opened, I was super excited to have a legit cheese steak outside of the North East. I recall going in one late evening, seeing the owner and getting a small cheesesteak with wiz and wiz fries. Delicious...I was hooked. Fries perfectly crispy, legit wiz and the steak was legit, VERY similar to what one would find in PA, NJ or NY. I'm sad to say that "pizazz," is gone. Now the cheesesteak is basically a chopped cheese sandwich from Queens. Tasty but not what I want. The meat is basically ground up, I couldn't tell if it was actual sliced steak or ground beef. The wiz is watered down or shall I say oiled down...a common tactic used by places to save $. The bread was good and the fries remained crispy but such a disappointment to see where they came from and where they are now. I really want this place to grow, its needed in the Orlando area but after my meal - this place now gets 2 stars. Now its possible that the new staff dont care or due to Covid things are not looking great for them but consistency is key to a successful food establishment...and sadly these guys lost it. read more
