I had eight or nine large furniture items to donate to charity and no charity would pick them up so I used Load Up to deliver the items to the Salvation Army. Loadup is a little cumbersome to deal with because they only communicate via text and they are located in a different state from mine. However he quoted price was reasonable and everything was done on schedule. Alejandro, the independent contractor driver hired by LoadUp, was fantastic. guys showed up at my elderly parents house to pick up a queen mattress from 100 day trial from titan mattress they didn't like. he came in an old suburban and had my dad help him get it in the car which Barely fit. my parents were uneasy around him as he was talking about being in jail and doing drugs. super disappointed! and scary for my parents! read more

Only 1 star for the LoaLoaUp company, 5 stars for the subcontacted, in-person workers. Very expensive for 2 hrs of help unloading a U Haul into a 1 story house ($259, required to be paid in advance). Moreover, the individual who booked us said our job date and time were guaranteed and that the workers would be at our house betwen 8 a.m. and noon on the scheduled date. However, on that date, we got a text from the company at 9 a.m. telling us that they could not find any workers in our area and we needed to re-book for a different date. We replied that we couldn't do that, as the U Haul needed to be returned that afternoon--and that we therefore needed our money refunded immediately. In about an hour, we got another text from the company telling us the workers were on their way! They did arrive at 11:45 a.m. and proceeded to do a great job. BUT I personally would not ever use this company again and would not recommend it to anyone I know. It was too nerve-wracking, being told one thing, then another, and then another...and WAY too expensive. read more

-----(negative five stars)I was already to go in to a tirade of how terrible this outfit is but then I see the majority of complaints are the same as mine. So rather then give them another ounce of my energy or time, I can only say at the end of the day, I cancelled, paid the 50% cancellation fee. Contacted a local small business hauler who was there in 30 mins and was cheaper. The unprofessionalism, the excuses and the unaccountability was ridiculous. The biggest issue with these clowns are their drivers. They are vetted by the company but really don't have to answer to anybody and so therefore nobody to answer to. Also, it looks like all of the other complaints are regarding the time of arrival, they offer no guarantees to the customer so you can bet there are no consequences to the loader if they don't keep their schedule. Do yourself a favor and just get your local town junk man, he'll be happy for the work and the business. read more

I should have read the reviews on Yelp before booking the LoadUp junk removal service in Orlando for two sofas a few weeks ago. I was clear in the description of the sofas that they were heavy and that one was a sleeper love seat and the other a sofa with two built in recliners (for which I removed the backs). It was a second floor walk up with a landing in the middle. One of their contractors accepted the job and showed up on time which was great. They show up with one man and one woman to lift these heavy sofas. When they arrived, they said they could not haul the sofas because of the weight and the landing, yet I was explicitly clear of the situation in advance. No disrespect to women, but it would be impossible for her to have lifted these sofas. The contractors should NEVER have accepted this job. They apologized, but they wasted half my day waiting for their arrival (it was a 4 hour window) and I had to take a half day off from work (for which they don't reimburse you). LoadUp has absolutely NO live customer service. Tried to call their number five times and no one responds. Just a voice mail service of which I left three messages. Not a single return phone call. After I wrote an email, they responded with an apology. It seems they prefer to stay behind a computer rather than talk to a customer. They then send me an automated email stating they are rescheduling my pick up without ever consulting me if I wanted to reschedule. They never called me! I had to dispute the charges with my credit card (by the way, they charge you upfront BEFORE the services are actually rendered) before they eventually decided to credit my card for the charges. And albeit they never returned my call to discuss the issues or apologize for the mishandling of the order. I would NOT recommend this company EVER. Go with a local company that is willing to speak with the customer and arrange the details and send the right resources for your job. This national company is trying to work locally but they are really failing. Recommendation: Try picking up a phone because not everything can be done online. Find another vendor. Not worth the hassle. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I would be shocked if any of these positive reviews are real. Here was my experience (and in reading others' reviews on BBB, I can tell you what happened to me is common): 11/16: After some research, I book LoadUp, in part b/c lo and behold they have a next day pick up! Yay! They were also slightly cheaper than others. I choose 11/17 as my day. I get a confirmation email. 11/17: Get a text telling me sorry, no one can pick up today but would I like one of 3 windows on 11/18? I choose 8-12 and am told "great, you're all set." 11/18. I get a text telling me that my order on its way and I can track it using the link. The link shows my delivery from 5-6 pm. I reach out to the driver (which I'm told do do in said link) and he confirms 5-6 pm. 11/18 5:42 pm: I check in w/ the driver. He says we're next, he'll be here from 6:30-7 11/18 7:33 pm: Driver says he's finishing up with the same person he'd been with 2 hours earlier. He says maybe he can arrive after 8 pm and are we okay with that. I say no. 11/19: I email to complain. Get prompt response apologizing and assuring me that my stuff will be picked up from 8-12 am on 11/20 (today) and that we are a "priority. 11/20: Have heard nothing, I check in. I'm assured it's on the way/they're working on it. 11/20: Get text telling me today is not possible, do I want to reschedule? Is this a real business? If so, it does NOT deserve your money. MOVE ON.
