GF ordered the seitan melt with sauerkraut, red onion, oat cheese, pickles, toum, and roasted tomatoes. I tried some of the seitan which was doused in sauce and EXCELLENT. The goodness that comes from their ovens is beyond compare. The ingredients they use are things like oat milk, sunflower butter, and more. Everything is handmade on a daily basis. In addition to baked goods, they offer fresh salads and sandwiches on their in-house breads. I absolutely love the chocolate rugelach, chocolate chip cookies (best ever!), blueberry muffins, chocolate croissant, French batard bread, and sourdough bread. Mancini's is celebrating their 100 year anniversary and they are still thriving as the best bread in the city! Although not the original location, the Strip District location is iconic! They try out a lot of their fun ideas and also display their celebrational bread displays... like this year's Heinz celebration! From the loaves of bread, cinnamon breads, and the hot pepperoni rolls, everything is worth buying!! The bread is just better than others and the topping/fillings are so wonderful balanced. On our food tour, we were given a sample of the cinnamon swirl bread. The soft dough with the gooey cinnamon filling was such a delicious bite... that we ended up buying a loaf too. Also, I am a sucker for everything and anything focaccia.. and this one was worth it! The cool part is the open view to the back to see the bread being kneaded, pulled, and baked. Mancini's actually invited the hand braided Italian loaf. When they reached capacity of baking in their loaf pans daily, they found that by braiding the loaves.. they no longer needed pans as the bread self contained the rise! We loved Mancini's already! But every time I come, get served a fresh loaf, and walk out with a full bag, I love Mancini's even more!!
