First off, let me state that I had to delete my original review, which I gave 3 stars. I had to delete it because the business manager, Junius, replied to it with comments and private details about my loan and finances on yelp. It was very unprofessional. I had originally wrote the review in February, to which they bugged me to write and when they saw my review, they asked me to take it down for giving 3 stars, which is average and not bad. You will see 5 stars a lot on here because they ask clients who give under 5 stars to remove their review. I told them I cannot and that I gave an honest review. They retaliated against me for my 3 star review and not going with them again by commenting private information about my loan, which violates Yelp's guidelines. What kind of company is that? Here is my original review: "Working with loan lock had some good and bad. I was looking to refinance my mortgage. My loan officer was Daniel. Daniel was quick with responses. The one thing I didn't like too much about loan lock and the refinance process was that they would ask for different documents last minute. For example, you send in all your documents they ask for to approve you for the loan and you lock in your loan rate and then they start asking for more random paperwork like my HOA statements from my house. I don't usually keep those and throw those away and am scrambling to try and find this random paperwork. They should let you know initially that you will need that paperwork. Then they tell me towards the end of the process when we're about to close that there's a hiccup with my loan that is causing me to change the type of refinance I have to do and it delayed my loan even further. They should have looked up this information in the beginning. My loan officer Daniel was great, but I just didn't like how there were a lot of stuff they asked for out of the blue or late. I applied for my loan in November and I didn't close until late January" During my second experience with them, they did require a lot of random paperwork again too, but this time it was asked of me in the very beginning, which is what they should do. When I say "random", I mean they ask for the woodworks, such as information from 2017 and information that is hard to get, which is why it took me so long to close the first time I went with them. Because of this, I decided to not go with them the second time. They make you sign a "COVID" form, which I get because of the circumstances now. But I didn't like how they make you give your credit card information ahead of time even though the form specifically states not to fill out the form until you get your LE, which I didn't get until AFTER I gave my cc info. I went with a different company the second time and my experience was a lot smoother and nicer. They didn't require all paperwork from 2017 and only took 3 weeks to close. My loan officer at Loan Lock, Daniel, has always been awesome and the 3 stars/1 star is NOT against him. Daniel gets 5 stars. Working with this company the first time was average but since they decided to retaliate against me I changed it to 1 star. Be aware. read more

I was originally planning to close the loan in 28 days! Communication from the first lender was not satisfactory and I was unsure if they'd be able to close it on time. I contacted Cody about a possible refinance because I knew that rates had dropped. I wasn't optimistic because other lenders had said I probably couldn't qualify, but Cody quickly ran the numbers and said there was a good chance it would work. When it came time to discuss rates and fees, he was very clear about the options and was able to offer an extremely good rate, about 0.25% lower than I was expecting. We locked the rate just a few days after the first call and the loan closed in around 3 weeks. Cody responded quickly by email when questions came up and he and his team processed the documents I sent right away. He didn't promise anything he couldn't deliver. Along the process, she also sent me updates and explained what would happen next. Working with her is crystal clear and pleasant. No hidden info or lack of communication at all. Our agent, Leland T, was a rock star. He pretty much kept in touch with us the whole way through and made sure the closing was simple and on time. He was also very knowledgeable and answered our numerous questions, which was great because our seller was extremely unhelpful and kept giving us bad information. Among all the people I had to deal with (seller, builder, buyer's agent, lender), I felt that he was the one who had our back the most. Just closed a refinance, and Victoria from LoanLock was quick, professional and knowledgeable and anticipated my every question and concern. The best part is that everything is online, except for a few wet signatures and the necessary notary meeting at the end. Their online portal is phenomenal, with easy uploading of documents, digital signing of forms, and task tracking to make sure nothing is left behind. They are also available by phone call (Victoria made a courtesy call) but the online experience and clear e-mail communication would probably have been enough to go through the entire process. I was a little hesitant to go through the process, even with removing an entire point off my rate, due to previous experiences.
