great service and great food all around. we were at the encore and came to lobby bar twice during our stay. both times, our servers checked up on us frequently so we always had what we wanted. the second time we were patrons, we got complementary cashew snacks in two flavors and favored the one with honey. ------ -- ------ -- ------ now, the food: spiced honey chicken fingers -- 9.5/10 our server's recommendation bc she loves hot honey. the accompanying dill ranch was impeccable, i'm still craving it right now... shoestring fries -- 10/10 giving it a perfect because my my bf looooved them; he said they're "like mcdonald's fries, but better." that's a big complement because they're his favorite! these fries were fluffy on the inside, yet crispy on the outside. they are automatically accompanied with ketchup, but you can request ranch or other sauces (which ended up being complementary). street corn guacamole and chips -- 9/10 the combo of elote/esquite and guac is sooo good. yes, it's based on elote and is overpriced af compared to what elote should be. but was it delicious? very. chipotle shrimp tacos -- 9/10 very good; the chipotle sauce paired well with the tacos. all of the ingredients tasted very fresh despite being far from the ocean. butterscotch pudding -- 9/10 i don't usually have a sweet tooth, but this was not too sweet. the butterscotch pudding part reminds me of crème brûlée custard, which is topped with chocolate, candied pecans, and an abundance of whipped cream. ------ -- ------ -- ------ my cocktails: luxe lychee martini -- beautiful presentation, tasted pretty good. loved eating the little lychee on the gold skewer at the end. prob my fave cocktail so far at lobby bar buena vista espresso martini -- yummy, can't go wrong with an espresso martini. bf's review of cocktails: parts unknown gin sour -- 9/10 "yummy" north star exotic energizer -- 9/10 "yummy" (he's not very descriptive but i remember both drinks being lighter, more refreshing, and had a less alcohol-heavy flavor.) ------ -- ------ -- ------ final thoughts: the lobby bar is beautifully decorated with a red and gold motif throughout and features a striking statue of the nymph Daphne transforming into a laurel tree. this is the perfect spot for people-watching or relaxing after a night out. for me, the best dish was between the hot honey chicken fingers or the street corn guac; for my bf, it was either the fingers or fries. because it was the common denominator, the best item was probably the chicken fingers. however, we did have to request waters; it would have been nice to for waters to be offered right away, but I'm not going to dock off any points for that because maybe not everyone wants water at a bar? service was excellent both when we came late at night (around 2 am) and during the day. ultimately, we would definitely come back! read more

Everything at the Encore is perfection just like this Lobby Bar that is beautiful and has delicious drinks and finger foods. After spending some time at the pool we had two hours free before heading to the airport so we came here to have a drink and a snack. I ordered a spritz which I always enjoy very much. Located in the Encore Resort at Las Vegas, it was the most convenient place to pick up carry-out snacks on the 2nd night of our four-person visit to Las Vegas in Feb. The requirement was to bring back light snacks (so we wouldn't lose our appetite for our late dinner) that were shareable and could use resort credits against. The Lobby Bar definitely satisfied that. It is located on the casino floor near the elevator banks to the Encore rooms. It's primarily a bar, but also serves elevated bar food for dine-in along with the drinks. The menu is located near the entrance, near a high traffic area. For carry-out, you place your order with the bartender, and then need to wait...definitely got the impression that they wouldn't care if the consumer got the food or not. Like most other restaurants in the casinos, getting carry-out is the least important revenue source, and thus the least effort put in to optimize the consumer experience. Patty Melt Beef Sliders ($23) - two well constructed sliders, using very high quality hand formed beef patties (choice of doneness) served on extremely buttered/greasy and grilled brioche bread, topped with swiss cheese, grilled onions, and mustard. Crispy Pork Dumplings ($17) - two pieces (each piece having two fused dumplings), along with chili oil and soy dipping sauce. It had the nice crispy skirt that indicates the care put in preparing it. A one hour wait time for a table at Wazuzu brought us to Lobby Bar at Encore. ATMOSPHERE: Intimate setting that overlooks the casino. I was surprised at the amount of cigarette smoke wafting into the bar from the casino as the hotel used to have a very good ventilation system. COMPLIMENTARY: Cashews are my least favorite nut but man, the ones they serve here are fire! The honey mustard ones are good but the bloody mary ones are out of this world! I love the Encore hotel but this Lobby Bar really fell short of the spectacular customer service and ambiance that Encore usually exudes. After a night of partying at XS, we decided to stop by for a late night (guess early morning) snack at 2am. They are open 24/7 and you seat yourself. It took over 15 minutes for the waitress to actual come over and take our order. Minus one. Then the food came out and it was TINY and salty portions. $23 for 3 mini sliders?! $12 for overly salted fries? A small cup of guacamole for $13? Nobody is filling my water and they forgot to give me a plate. Another minus. Then at the end, we are tired and bloated from the salty food and just want to check out but our server is nowhere to be found. Then we realize she is too busy gossiping with another friend/employee in the corner of the bar. I had to ask the bus boy for our check. Another minus. I know it's 3am but I still expect good customer service especially for this price point. Tried their Buena Vista (Espresso Martini). They use the blond roast version of Khalua, which is slightly more sour than the normal version. And on this day, they used a bit too much of it. We ordered some chicken tenders and cauliflower bites and they were good. Your typical bar food. Drinks were really good and definitely the right amount of alcohol. We stopped by here a few times during our most recent trip to Vegas for breakfast, snacks, and drinks since it was situated right in front the elevator doors. A server returned 10 minutes later saying that the onions "are mortified" in the sandwich. Say what?? We had breakfast here as we were heading out of Vegas early-ish, and didn't have enough time to go to a buffet. We ordered a coffee, a green energy boost juice, a ham and cheese croissant, cinnamon roll, berries & yogurt and a banana. The total with tip came to just over $47. I know, a teeny bit steep for what we got, but then again, we were paying for the convenience. When you are in a rush to check out, you can't beat the place literally right outside the hotel elevators. It was comfortable, fast, clean. You order at the bar for breakfast, pick up your beverages (they forgot mine, so I had to ask them for it when our food arrived) and a different server delivers your food items in to go containers & bags - which is convenient if you are leaving anyway. The granola/yogurt/berries were really tasty and fresh. High quality ingredients. Not a large enough portion, but not teeny either. The Ham and Cheese croissant was served warm/hot with a crusty parmesan cheese crusting top. Generous portion. It was naughty and had way too much butter in it! = delicious. But in truth was heavier than other croissants. The big cinnamon roll was over the top and too sweet and heavy to face after a weekend of indulgences. While it was hot and sticky and delicious, I would actually skip this next time. Of course, that may be because I had just indulged in eating the WHOLE Ham and Cheese croissant. The banana cost $2. Cleanses the palate after some heavy hitter tapas. Of course dessert: MACARONS WITH ICE CREAM FILLING!!! Such an epic way to end our little snack. I don't need to explain this. It's just... This is a bar and there is music in the background, but surprisingly the music isn't that loud to the point you have to use your outside voice (meaning scream over the music) super chill, calm atmosphere, lovely crowd.
