There are white squirrels everywhere. There are also regular brown squirrels too. My wife told me about this before we got here but it's strange, there are so many of them. One of the oddest things I find is that there are no mixed squirrels. Like kinda brown, or kinda white, it's either one or the other. They hang together, surely they get it on. What the hell is going on here?!?!? Where did they come from? Why haven't they spread to other areas?? Anyway.... About this bakery. We stopped by here a few times for meals and snacks. Most of it was just pretty good and nothing to really write home (lol) about. I did not know this at the time and did not truly savor the moment well enough. We've stopped in several times, usually early when it's quiet, and unfortunately the staff (with one exception) have been noticeably unfriendly--especially toward my kids. My boys are always polite and well-mannered, so it's frustrating to see them treated with impatience or attitude. There's just no excuse for adults to be dismissive or rude to children or any customers, especially in a place that serves families. That said, Matthew deserves recognition. He's always been welcoming, kind, and genuinely great with my boys. He sets the standard for what the customer experience should be. I hope management takes a closer look at how guests are being treated, because with better service, this place could easily be somewhere we'd visit regularly.
