We were in the area on a rainy Saturday and decided to try Lobo's after hearing recommendations family members. The place was quiet and very clean. Our server was friendly and courteous and the food was out fast. My wife ordered a grilled turkey sandwich on wild rice and cranberry bread. I went with the Lobo burger with onion rings. The sandwich was very good, fries were great, my burger was massive and tasty, and if I've had better rings I certainly don't remember when and where. If I were a local, this would be my go-to. Came to MN in order to start paddling the Mississippi River. While prepping we got to eat here for a little ch and two dinners. The staff is amazingly friendly and really want to make your experience great. The food is very plentiful and truly tasty. If your hungry you will be satisfied by eating here. The locale is sort of lodge like and the people/customers are beyond friendly. They also have outdoor seating as well. If you're in the area please try them out and enjoy. Additionally they have lodges you can rent and stay at to enjoy some of the wilderness here. The cabins are well apportioned and comfortable. read more

The two times are family has been it was not the best experience. The food is really not the best and there are way better places to go, the service is in the middle of good and bad it depends on the water. But is fun but not the beast food.(do not get the chicken sandwich thing) read more

I will start with the ambience was very nice, modern rustic with the stone and wood, fireplace and taxidermy all around. My Valentine's Day dinner choice was the 2 piece walleye, my favorite fish. It was actually tough, fishy and definitely not worth the $28. On to the baked potato which was tough. Healthiest part is the skin, couldn't do it. My fiancé opted for the all you can eat fish fry. Good news, it was not fishy. Super greasy, but not fishy. Both were nice and hot. Love it when the food is hot. Best part was they had a lovely local refreshing beer on tap. We had to wait with empty glasses for 10 minutes at the bar while our server disappeared into the back multiple times for that though. It was 5:00, not busy at all. So, we will give it a 2 out of 10 for service as our server was somewhat friendly, though not engaging, even though we were out of towners. Fiancé grew up in the area to give some context. Would have been a lovely evening despite the mediocre food if the wait staff was attentive. Another server had to take our payment as our server disappeared again. read more

Found ourselves once again out for supper here A couple friends joined us this time I went for the prime rib sandwich with the au jus dip and baked potato, ALL GOOD THERE My wife went for the spicy chicken sandwich with pepper Jack cheese and tator tots...ALL GOOD THERE My friend went for the prime rib and salad tator tots...He said it was All GOOD THERE AND WOULD GET IT AGAIN ( Same as the prime rib sandwich I had but I got a hoagie bun also) His wife got the bacon cheeseburger and fries, she said it was good also The service was a little slower then I would of liked but we weren't in any hurry in the long run and maybe they couldn't find another person to wait on tables, everything worked out just fine and we got to have a couple more Busch light pounders while watching the gophers hockey game Place was clean inside, bathroom was clean and the wife said the ladies was clean also The outside parking lot was clean of ice and snow, up by the doors to walk in had snow and ice that I thought as a business would get rid of it so less chance of trips and falls but you just walk like a penguin season is still in effect ya know Wasn't loud in there and could carry a conversation back and forth at the table Yes we will keep going there no problem Still didn't take photos but just go try it out for yourself read more

The food was solid - not great and not poor. The portions were generous. I enjoyed the loaded pulled pork taco salad. The service was slow on a Friday evening - I attribute this to post-COVID staffing challenges. They seemed frazzled but trying hard. read more

Just went back to this place today and it was the worst service as well as they ran out of hamburger buns and instead of asking if we still wanted them they used 2 hot dog buns per burger. Tap beer was $9 a glass so for 3 beers and 2 hamburgers with onion rings it was $60 . We waited and waited most of the 2hrs it took. We got Brought wrong food to people in our group and the waitress wasn't to sure if everyone got what they ordered to be honest. We won't be returning to this place with these kinda prices for the lack of service there was especially when this place is well a where of bikes and visitors in general that are around in the summer months. We stopped in awhile back and I never update review but didn't have a good experience that time neither so I thought I would share. This place is a must stop if you're traveling through northern Minnesota. We were camping nearby in miserable rainy weather when we decided to take a trip to Lobos for a burger. The food was fantastic, the place was packed and 2 servers and a cook took care of it all. So refreshing to see hard working wait staff not complaining and getting it done! We had wonderful and quick service last night at Lobo's. The waitress was very attentive and excellent at her job. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, and it was no ordinary sandwich - this sandwich was the best grilled cheese I had ever had in my life. It was made from wildrice cranberry bread and lots of creamy melty swiss cheese inside. Most of the people at my table got burgers, and they were all happy also -- we were a group of 12, riding our motorcycles. We will all definitely be back. read more

Just horrible. We were there for over an hour and never received our food, a refill, or even an apology. We had a clear view of the kitchen from our table, and the cook (a blonde middle-aged woman) never once washed her hands or donned gloves-just kept touching food (including raw meats) with her bare hands. We'd finally had enough of sitting around and, like many other would-be diners, decided to just leave. The restaurant was only half full. This place was awful. The food was overcooked, hardly warm & not good by the time we got it. The waitress came to our table once & that was to take our order. Someone else brought the food out to us. We had to go to the bar & get the drinks we ordered, the condiments & after waiting for our waitress 20+ minutes after we finished, even our bill. There was no apologies. Food was good and exactly what our family was looking for in the area. The staff was friendly but we had to ask our waitress several times for the same things (i.e. A glass of water, a cup of Ranch dressing, and the blue cheese that was missing from our Black and Blue burger).
