Very disappointing. Grew up in New England, have been to the original Lobster Pot in Provincetown as recent as two years ago. I ordered the lobster bisque because I had had it @SK locatio before when the proportion for the extra Lobster meat was as pictured here in this app 2 years ago, it is NO longer that it's a "1 oz portion". The baked stuffed haddock with seafood stuffing had potential to be good. However it was"grilled" and then covered in uncooked stuffing, raw cold and damp texture. New England style bake stuffed anything is in a casserole dish (to keep moist) and the breadcrumbs are cooked, lightly browned not wet and damp. And I really question if it was haddock because it was thin thin like cod. Vegetables were very good. read more

We enjoyed our experience at Lobster Pot. We had mahi mahi (good but a little dry) with mango sauce to complement it. Stuffed shrimp was a good meal with creamy delicious cole slaw. Good veggies. A must try for everyone and definitely a must return spot. One of the busiest restaurants in the area and rightfully so. If you love seafood, this is your spot on Siesta Key! Small local spot with a hut/diner looking exterior but packs a punch with their food and cozy interior. Our server was awesome and explained the menu in detail and gave perfect recommendations. The lobster special was a hit and worth every bite. I had the shore dinner boiled and it was perfect with the sides. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Clam strips were the best clam strips I ever had. My sister had the lobster roll and it's definitely a must try as you have the option for it to be warm or cold. Cornbread was great to munch on. Cape cod on Siesta Key. Was skeptical about Lobster pot due to the kitschy decor that is over the top Cape Cod. We visited for a lunch and had a Lobster Roll (a must if visiting the cape) and the catch of the day sandwich which was red snapper. The modestly sized Lobster Roll, $27.99, was packed with a 1/4 lb of sweet and perfectly prepared lobster. The side veggies in butter was just ok. Catch of the day sandwich was plentiful and well prepared. Nice portion of fries. Very good sangria. While our sandwiches were fairly expensive I did like that they had many more affordable options on the menu. Definitely a good lunch spot and likely worth a visit for dinner. read more

Lobster pot is located about a quarter mile from Siesta Key beach. Inside is decorated like a typical beachside seafood restaurant. Service was good and prompt. My server even gave me a little history lesson about the place. Food was average. I had middleneck class for appetizer. While tasty they were not cleaned properly and had some grittiness. I ordered the Dutchess lobster which is the dish their known for. Lobster was good size but stuffing was a bit on the overcooked side. Mushy and not very flavorful. Shrimp Inside was also overcooked. Lobster itself was cooked well. Didn't get dessert. Also one recommendation for the owner is to add some more variety in the sides. Lots of starches but very little else. Located right in the heart of Siesta Key Village, this cozy restaurant has a lot of fans. As we were entering, a lady coming out past us said, "great food!" and she was absolutely right! I love both Lobster Bisque and Lobster Rolls and have had many during my trips up and down the eastern seaboard. But hands down, the Lobster Pot had the BEST versions of these two favs - even better than The Cape. The Watermelon Salad was also very good. The best lobster rolls we have had. If you're looking for a lobster roll that is filled with delicious lobster and not just mayo - this is your spot. We got two sides with our rolls - coleslaw, fries, Mac and cheese - all excellent and went great with the lobster rolls. Wish all places made lobster rolls just like this one. We are visiting Siesta Key from Massachusetts and searched out the Lobster Pot claiming New England lobster. The restaurant is small inside but comfortable seating was found in their front dining room facing Ocean Ave. Our waiter was quick to great and serve us. We ordered the Lobster Duchess and the Shire dinner with shrimp, scallops, and fish. Both were authentic to New England seafood dishes! Duchess was market price = $50 but was cooked perfectly! Went for lunch prior to starting our day of shopping. Very cute place, not a huge place but definitely enough seating. We got seated right away and our male server was very attentive and took our orders right away. I ordered the lobster roll with fries which was done really well. Just dove an hour from Anna Maria Island to have their lobster rolls. While waiting to be seat two of our 6 people used the restroom to be greeted with a very rude server. She was telling us they don't have a public bathroom for non customers. I told her we are here to eat with six people and then she replied with I will believe that when I see it. Just to remind you the others were waiting to be seated. I then told her that she owed us an apology for her rudeness, and she said not happening. She told us to sit ourselves and we did while also getting our own menus. Then the owner came out to our table and asked how we were doing and I said we would like an apology to from the waitress. He then said ok we are not serving you and asked us to leave. Maybe this is why the place was dead at 1pm. My wife and I have visited the "brother" to this resturant in the Cape and have always remembered it, and to our surprise found this gem today on our trip in Siesta Key Village! The food was incredible just as expected. If you are looking for FRESH and TASTY seafood dishes, you won't miss here. Lobster Ravioli had a flavorful sauce with rich buttery lobster tail for a great price, a deal honestly. The lobster is all from Maine and comes fresh every 2 days. The crab cakes were perfection with great breading and the remoulade sauce had a kick to it. I had the Shore Dinner broiled to perfection shrimp, scallops and fish with two sides and fried clams. Solid seafood joint, even though it might be a little pricey... As with all the places I would find out very quickly on Siesta Key, parking is a a premium. If you go, please know, parking can be expensive and a bit of a hassle. But once you do find a spot, this little tourist trap of an area isn't that big. So traveling by walking won't be too bad to finally get to this place. Once here, you find yourself at a low-key seafood restaurant that has a very chill ambiance, as well as a warmly decorated indoors. Though the hostess did try to sit us in the sun originally, after asking to be moved, we were offered a spot far and away from the sun. For dinner my wife enjoyed their stuffed shrimp while I had their jambalaya. I will tell you, if you're not into spicy food, jambalaya here is something to stay away from. Now, if you do enjoy it, like I do, it was delicious. Our server was efficient if not overly friendly, she still did do a great job - keeping my wife's iced tea "bottomless" is a chore and she kept up at it well. Parking: $7.00 per hour. In addition they charge 3% add service. Took a warm Lobster roll to go and it was nice except for the bottom bread that was all wet and soggy. The top bread was buttery and toasted so I'm not sure what exactly went wrong with it but it was very difficult to take a hold of the roll and eat when all the pieces were falling apart. The crab cakes were average and so what's the lobster bisque. Actually the bisque was a little buttery and the extra lobster chunks you see in the Yelp pictures are not included with the regular bowls. The chunks are extra charge and they do ask you if you would like to add. I was able to order over the phone for a quick pick up from the parking space. Fast and smooth transition. read more

My cousin & I drove about 2 hours just so we can enjoy their Lobster Bisque. We went on Monday for lunch. Parking is a little bit of a pain but the location is central. The ambiance is lovely and the staff is nice. Their Lobster Bisque with the lobster chuck is so delicious. From the outside, the establishment looks small but once you enter, there are seats in the back so there was no wait for a table and the hostess was so friendly and welcoming! Good food, great location. After spending the day on the beach we were able to walk from our condo to the Villages where the restaurant is located. It is a fun, lively area bustling with people, shops and resturants. We were seated by the window overlooking the street which was great but tables were so close we bumped into others when getting into and out of our seats. I had the fried scallops with mashed pototes and vegetables and my husband had the new England clam chowder. Both of us enjoyed our selections. Scallops were tender , lightly fried and not fishy. This place has really good food, but to be honest it just wasn't quite all I expected it to be. But, I would still highly recommend the lobster bisque (amazing!), it's so creamy and has a great lobster taste and it's everything you'd want a lobster bisque to be. Clam chowder is a good choice too. We didn't get an actual lobster main dish but saw some and they looked pretty top bar . The fried calamari was fantastic, I probably liked that best of everything I tried. They can get you cute little to go waters as well which is nice if you want to walk around more or head back to the beach. Our server was nice but he was obviously busy and didn't stick around longer than he needed to. The restaurant itself is really cute looking from outside but when you sit inside, even with the doors open it's really loud because it's a small building, and I didn't really like that. But all in all, they definitely have some gold seafood options, just be prepared that it's a busy place and it will probably be fairly noisy when you go. read more

Lobster Spot is right at important downtown intersection of Siesta Key. Very visible. During the pandemic, the seating is limited. We were here early at the door open to get a seat. Many tourists take a picture with their lobster statue at outside of the restaurant. We have a big pot of seafood Portugal to share. It is an expensive item. It have half lobster, shrimp, mussels, clam and linguine. It top with cheese with Cub of corn and garlic toast. I did not see the steamer inside as the menu said. Seafood is fresh.
