The time estimate for when food is ready is wildly inaccurate! We ordered by noon and got an estimated time of completion in 30 minutes. We arrived around 12:30pm, after the timer on the order page has finished counting down. Our order was still not ready at 12:55pm and I had to leave to not miss a meeting. Unfortunately had to come back later to pick up cold food. The staff were great and trying their best to help everyone stuck waiting a long time. The food was good even though it's been sitting for awhile. The hype is deserved, and I am hopeful either the rush will die down or they will work out their operational kinks. This review isn't particularly for the food, but for a specific employee at the location, Zayd. This was my first time coming here and we came here for Square Pie Guys which did not disappoint. While waiting for our food and just watching the general atmosphere, my party and I acknowledged Zayd's welcoming and positive energy while working in the store. As he prepped the food in the kitchen, he would always poke his head out to welcome new customers walking in or out. While cleaning, he would always assist us and offered his service to everyone. My whole family came in hot with no heads up to the staff that we were bringing 10 kids and 10 adults! They could've easily shown their agitation or annoyance, but instead they showed the opposite: attentiveness, hospitality and went above and beyond as if we personally rented out the entire space. Lucas, specifically, kept making sure my whole squad had everything we needed and even offered the kiddos a treat afterwards. I kept expressing my apologies for taking over half their space and staying for so long, but Lucas graciously assured me that it was no problem and made my entire family feel at home. On top of all of that, the food was great and the variety was PERFECT for such a big group with ranging preferences and little kiddos to please. The food was good but be prepared to wait at least 30 mins. For a food court concept the wait is too long. We came here 11:30am with not so many people inside. The ambiance is a bit sterile and that's fine but to sit around for 30 mins for what I consider fast food is too long. I'm revising the rating based on nice customer service. Service was a bit time consuming so it helped that I put in 6 orders ahead of my 20 other family members. Really good place to get some late night quick bites/fast food. Went here for my second time yesterday and left still impressed. I was skeptical about this cafeteria style restaurants but the food was really good. My burger was very juicy and had the right veggie to meat ratio. My fries were cooked to perfection. Although the portions look small the food is quite filling. I do love the connivance of ordering through a tablet, the easy pick up system, and the variety of restaurants offered. This is my first time ordering at this place and I don't know if I want to come back. I got the crab hand roll and an order of falafel. The falafel were burnt to a crisp. I took a bite and I had to spit it out. I returned it and the manager had an attitude instead of apologizing for serving a burnt food. I told him it's very burnt and even the inside is brown and burnt. I said it should be green on the inside and he told me "I know what a falafel is." If you know what a falafel is then you should know that what you just served me was not an edible falafel! He offered to replace them or give me a refund. I chose another side. This is my second time visiting this establishment and it hasn't failed us. Very clean and kid friendly which is why I keep coming back. Lots of choices for picky toddlers. Not much for little infants tho. The service provided is always top notch. Especially the kind gentle man with the glasses. I need to get his name next time. Every time I come he's always ready to bring me a high chair and any utensils and coloring materials for the kids. Food is always on point even tho there can be a wait. Super impressed with this place! It was super clean and modern, everything down to the clean bathrooms. The staff member was super helpful in helping us order. We tried the grilled cheese from the melt, sushiritto salmon, square pizza and fried chicken sandwich. There was nothing we didn't like but the grilled cheese and tomato soup was everyone's fave! Been here numerous times and started off amazing. Service was professional and extremely quick. Then over time slowly the service vanished. Until finally today we preordered Boba Guys online and got a text saying it was ready for pick up. When we got there the worker at the counter just said it's not ready yet and that they are working on it. They call another worker over who's just as clueless and says oh we don't have that order in our system. Our name even said ready on the screen when we came in yet it vanished. The workers clearly stole our drinks or gave it away to friends. It shouldn't take over 30 minutes to make 2 boba drinks on an already simplified menu offering. The manager had to come out and say yes we have those and that they will make it now and it will take 5 more minutes. What a waste of such a nice space and stocked eating area just to have the ambiance squandered by hiring poor service. The original workers who were here when they first opened were highly attentive and greeted every customer. And orders were pumped out efficiently and on time. Not a great sign of things to come when the worker tonight couldn't be bothered to give us what we ordered and paid for and that we were the ones who had to escalate it further after we even sat down and waited patiently for a few more minutes. What was supposed to be a nice quick night out to grab some drinks ended up taking as much time as going out to have a full meal... I can't imagine what the workers tonight would have done if we actually ordered food... Besides the manager the only employee that seemed to care about trying to help us was the employee who was clocking out to go home. read more

This eatery provides very little service - pick up your food and go, you even have to place your order online, and yet an automatic 15% tip is added to the bill. This establishment should pay their employees appropriately and adjust their prices instead of sneaking it on to the bill as a mandatory tip. The sushirito here is really good. However, when me and my family went to eat here, it took over an hour for our food to be prepared. It's also too expensive to eat here once a week or something like that. I would recommend going here, but I wouldn't recommend going here that often. read more

i really like the concept of this place, but there were a few things that could definitely use some improvement. Pros: - extremely friendly staff that explained how things worked and showed us where to pick up our orders - delicious food and lots of great options - very clean and modern atmosphere Cons: - online waiting time for pick up was extremely inaccurate. we ordered our food at 5:35 pm (estimated wait time was 30 minutes) and our order wasn't ready until 6:21 pm. by the time we got home with the food (less than 8 minutes away), it was cold. i understand that they were slammed as it's a friday night, but the estimated wait time system should be updated for better accuracy - strawberry fields from boba guys was lacking in the actual strawberry. once i mixed the puree in with the milk, the strawberry flavor was completely gone. i was drinking sweet milk (reference photo attached to show the color of the milk, as it looks like straight almond milk with boba) as i wouldve given a 3 star review, i think the pros speak for themselves and this location definitey has potential. i think they just need time to work out the kinks since recently opening. we will be giving them another shot, probably on a day where they're not too busy read more

Omar and Mika are just the best! I was sad that Boba Guys in Burlingame closed down. I came to Local Kitchens since they serve Boba Guys. Even though the kiosk doesn't allow the customizations that I wanted, Omar and Mika told me not to worry and made my drinks perfectly!
