We have been wanting to visit for years! It was not too busy when I visited around 10 but the line quickly became long. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. My only comment is that both were very wet so quickly became soggy with a soft bottom bread. They were very generous and we will be back!

Luv me some Little Lucca's! If you want an awesome Sammy the size of your head, these guys will get you in n out quick with a no frills counter servic Got the Pastrami hot w/ pepper jack and everything on it. The sandwich tech guy was kinda sloppy on the build this time, don't know his name but if you watch him, you will know as the sauces were not evenly spread, some tomatoes folded and doubled up, pickles clumped on half the samich, onions unevenly placed...sloppy work. Normally you get a balanced marriage of the flavors in each bite, this time you I got blank spots and bites of excess condiments. This is the first time I have experienced this after years of Samich bliss! I'm going to chalk this up to poor training and supervision as I'm sure if any of the Veteran Sando techs or the Boss observed his process, they would call him out, hopefully. Regardless, I will be back and hopefully the issue will have been addressed by then. Sandwich making is truly an art form and if you are going to do it, do it with some love, because you can taste the difference! At least I can... Still got luv for you Lucca's!

A meibutsu roughly translates out to "famous thing" and it refers to a regional specialty or other famous goods and signature dishes in a specific area. If I have to designate a "meibutsu" to Burlingame, it'd be Little Lucca. Came here on a random Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend, slightly after lunch and it was still PACKED to the brim. Super organized winding line and you can tell it's regulars who are grabbing lunches and who have already put in big orders through the phone. Local favorite and easily can see why. The specialty is their original garlic sauce from the 1980's and their comically huge sandwiches. The other must is to get their Dutch Crunch since it's a more unique bread that isn't commonly offered elsewhere. To be honest, this was the first time I've even heard of this bread. Also TRIGGER WARNING, skip over this part if you fear medical maladies or body horror, but the texture of this bread reminds me of scaled diabetic calves from my time working in the hospital. Disturbing random thought I had, but the sandwiches are delicious! Toasted to perfection, slathered in sauce, super huge. You can always build your own sandwich, but I'm no expert and it's always best to let the real sandwich artisans do their jobs. Cannot go wrong with their turkey sandwich if you like a Thanksgiving taste and Lucca Combo (anything with their titular title in the name, is a solid choice). Even after awhile, the sandwich was pretty good! If I have to stop by next time, I'll make sure to get another sandwich.

Always a go-to sandwich spot -- we make it a point to try something different every time we come, and it never disappoints. This visit, we ordered the "Double Beef," packed with pastrami, corned beef, coleslaw, and Russian dressing on sourdough. Sooo good. The sandwich is loaded with flavor, and they're incredibly generous with the meat. It's huge -- definitely made to share... or not! The original Little Lucca's in South San Francisco is legendary, so we're so happy they opened another location in Burlingame. It absolutely lives up to the hype. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking, making it an easy stop. The staff is efficient, friendly, and clearly knows their sandwiches. Already looking forward to our next visit to try another menu item!

The sandwiches are normally awesome. Not sure what happened today. Instead of the normal amount of cold cuts I got half. There was also a hair in the sandwich. Hopefully it's not the same next time. Please tighten it up a little.

HUGE sandwiches that make you savor each bite. I got to try this location for the first time and it's such a big uplift from the original one in San Bruno. Got the chipotle chicken sandwich with Ceaser salad and it was delicious. Love the way chicken and melted crunchy cheese comes together to make a wholesome meal. Highly highly highly recommend!

MY FAVORITE SANDWICH SHOP! Little Lucca's has held the title for over 10 years. I don't think I even had a favorite spot before them. I gotta say... they have never let me down. I've tried a lot of different sandwiches. Some of my faves are the Seafood Combo (Tuesdays and Fridays), the Ultimate with pepper jack cheese, and a good old pastrami. The garlic sauce makes them stand out. That paired with dutch crunch plus fresh ingredients stacked up in a fat ass sandwich... you can't go wrong. I make a mess every single time and very much enjoy doing so. There have probably only been 2 or 3 times that I've gone and there wasn't a line, but it moves quick. Is it worth the drive over the San Mateo bridge? Yes!

Was in town for the day & stopped by to grab lunch before heading to the airport. It gets really busy. There's no seating at all. So Just order & take it to go. I ordered the Chicken Chipotle Caesar which is Grilled chicken breast, with parmesan & provolone cheese & chipotle caesar dressing on sourdough. I also added sprouts. The sandwich is huge but it wasn't that good at all. Maybe I ordered the wrong sandwich . I was really disappointed as I was so excited to try this especially with the sprouts. I love sprouts. There's just too much bread. I think I need to double up on all the veggies & sauce & Mayo etc. The chicken breast is three big pieces of chicken breast. There's no real flavor & just dry plain thick pieces of chicken breast & bread. That's all I tasted. Also, they charge extra if you want your sandwich heated. Almost $2. So if you don't care, don't order it warm and just eat it cold. Staff is OK. The person making my sandwich just didn't seem that happy. He was just there to make my sandwich. I didn't even eat half so I had a lot left over. Im gonna have to add some extra veggies cucumbers lettuce & sauce to finish the rest. The sandwiches are definitely shareable because no doubt they are big.

The sandwich is packed with your choice of protein. Comes with tomatoes, pickles, mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, hot pepper sauce, lettuce, and red onions. You can omit whatever you want. It's such a huge sandwich that you can easily save the other half for another meal. Best of all...tastes great. There is easy parking in this strip mall. The wait was about 20 - 25 minutes. They are efficient in making the sandwiches, but the line had about eight people ahead of me. There's no place to eat inside. This is purely take-out.

I understand why this place is so popular!! I'm on the hunt for great sandwiches in the bay area and had Little Lucca saved for the longest time. Ordered the Lucca Combo on Dutch crunch, toasted to share with my boyfriend. Prices are $$$, but once you see how massive they are, it's worth it!! The sauces were delicious and had generous amount of meat. Fast service - we lined up at the door and it took us 8 minutes to get to the front to order on a Saturday 1PM. Easy parking as it's in a plaza. Next time I'm in the area, I want to try their tri-tip!

Came in right when they opened..Aiden helped us and made all of our sandwiches. Aiden was so helpful and even suggested ways we could save a couple bucks by ordering some of our sandwiches differently. We really appreciated his suggestion because he didn't have to help us save but he did..honest and great service. We had 6 sandwiches all together and each sandwich was different. He made each sandwich exactly how we wanted it. This was my first time at Little Lucca's..my coworkers have been here before..so they knew what to order. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted..after looking over the menu I decided on half pastrami half corn beef on dutch crunch. It was delicious!!! The sandwich was like a brick!!! Big big sandwich..I ate it in one seating..no left over..yum! I love a good dutch crunch sandwich. If you are in the area and craving a sandwich I highly recommend coming here.

Reading news about a longtime deli on the East Bay closing inspired me to stop here (sandwich craving) on a Thursday late morning after an errand. I walked in a little after 10:30 am, following a lady who was just ahead of me. There was a couple in the line, but they were studying the menu. A few minutes later, both parties were called to the counter which gave me time to study their menu and counter display (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=V7fH__UQMSYDCxUlfR1OEg). When i reached the counter, a young lady took my sandwich order as well as my salad requests. As my items were prepared, I waited at the cashier area and added a couple bags of potato chips from the rack (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=z7c-S9yq463_GiCO8SOKcQ). After finishing my errands a couple hours later, I parked my car and started on my lunch. I ate half of my Lucca combo on Dutch crunch, everything on it (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=ll4Vbxy5f-pBpmLCQCV-gw) as it literally felt like a loaf of bread; the combo is comprised of mortadella, provolone, salami. There definitely is no shortage of meat and veggies (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=qvIqGmvlatliKe46KsP5WQ). The flavors especially from their house hot/garlic sauce are consistent with their original location in SSF. I enjoyed this as it's been a while since I've been to that one. I could only finish half of it and brought it home, wrapped it (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=b5TY_gwbobNjGBLjkZi5mA), and had it a couple days later for lunch. I also bought a half pint of cole slaw (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=hO3jxu82Gu2Q0hJQQnxKYg) and a half pint of antipasto (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=mSNx9MSvEKlmjuC5ra404Q); I like my cole slaw on the sweeter slice (ala KFC) so this was just okay for me. The antipasto was interesting as I wasn't sure whether there was 'pasta' in this (no there isn't). It is a mix of green and black olives, mushrooms, artichoke leaves and heart pieces. I enjoyed this as the marinated was strong. Thank you to my sandwich maker Angie for also packing my salads while multi-tasking in filling other orders. The cashier was efficient as professional too. I look forward to coming here if in the neighborhood and now know that the line is not as crazy as the original shop. *** Oh, and get those Zapp's chips from New Orleans. They are one of only a few places that sells this.

    Lynn N.

One of my favorite Bay Area staples, I had to go to Lucca's and get some sandwiches again. The Burlingame location is a small deli shop and you order when you get to the front. My partner and I got the Southwestern and Chicken Santa Fe on dutch crunch. We asked the workers their favorite sandwich and EVERY SINGLE RESPONSE was Tri Tip!!! Now we know! The sandwiches were good! Lucca's garlic spread is iconic, though while eating it, I was getting food fatigue. I'm being nit-picky, but I wish the dutch crunch was a bit more crispy. Regardless the sandwich itself was great and I'm definitely getting the tri tip next time!

Yippee- we can't eat a WHOLE one - this is great food to share!! Custom made sandwiches!

As for the food, I ordered the "Chipotle is my life". As a "city kid" there was always something about a classic deli sandwich from the corner store that just always hits and at Gigi's I got the same nostalgia feeling. The sandwich was great, bread wasn't soggy from the spread and it had great flavor! A nice spin on a classic turkey and cheese. The wait time was pretty quick so that's definitely a plus. I think the best part about all of this is you can take your sandwich and eat very close to the water if you wanted to. Albeit a bit out of the way, this will be my go to spot when I want a deli sandwich.
