Fresh off the plane came here to get something to eat. First impression a super cute homey feel sandwich shop. The music and the vibes are all just right. We ordered our food super fast Gio helped us with our questions she was supper awesome and really added to the experience. The food was hot and fresh everything we tried tasted amazing. Definitely gonna miss this place when we go back home.

Super Bowl 60 Edition: Sandwiches is part of the San Francisco DNA( not the night club in SOMA). It's long history from Molinari's to Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe's favorite deli Freddies . Growing up in the Mission I enjoyed the sandwiches at the Sandwich Place ( the real name). San Francisco influences has grown to Brooklyn to a places called Mission Sandwich Social (missionsandwich.com) Different people across San Francisco have their neighborhood sandwich deli fan favorites like cities have their favorite NFL teams. For an individual meal on Super Bowl day or anyday of the year there is nothing better than a customized deli sandwich. There is a place in Russian Hill which sells one the best sandwiches in San Francisco. On a Super Bowl week stroll in Russian Hill in San Francisco there is a deli which serves delicious sandwiches. The sandwiches have names such as the City Boy sandwich and the City Girl sandwich. They also have names such as the Bad Date and the Hangover. I decide to get the SanFranPsycho sandwich which had honey turkey and it was saucy. It was a bit cheesy and the bread was not flakey like some in SF. It was savory and tangy but good. I also decided to try The Freak. The Dutch Crunch bread for The Freak was fresh and the pastrami brisket was tasty. It was a bit saucy with the honey mustard and chipotle sauce but it all together came out great. You can also order a side of spaghetti and potato salad or pair it with some of the crunchy chips available. Another great sandwich place in San Francisco. Take a "stroll" on Polk street through San Francisco and get a sandwich called the "SanFranPsycho"which has Honey turkey, bacon, smoked gouda cheese on a "Dutch Crunch Roll " and add extra sauce with remoulade so you enjoy it during the "Super Bowl" Grab a sandwich that's "hearty"with deli meats , sauces and cheeses like cheddar, and "havarti" for the Super Bowl "Party"so you can see the winning team win the Super Bowl Trophy also known as the "Vince Lombardi"

Food: 4.0 | Service: 5.0 | Ambiance: 4.0 428 San Bruno Ave W Hours: M-Sun 9AM-4PM Family-owned THE BOYS' DELI was a new-to-me deli that I had been waiting to try for some time. I was in the neighborhood and nearly closing time, 4PM close, but glad I made it in time to order! It's Street parking only so it might get interesting at lunchtime. TBD uses premium Boars Head deli meats & cheeses, daily-delivered Boudin breads, to build their sandwiches. Standard adds are Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Pepperoncini, Jalapenos, Salt & Pepper, Oil & Vinegar. Cheese is extra, and their Sandwiches are usually Toasted. I usually take all the offered fixings, and opt not toast so it keeps longer if I end up having the rest for a second meal. If ravenous, then definitely toast! The very freshly made sandwich was nicely balanced, well put together with crisp veggies, condiments, on fresh bread. The people are friendly and will work with you to customize a sandwich if the TBD specials don't hit the spot for you. Great selection of chips and drink to pick from. Ordered: SPARTACUS on a sourdough roll w/Mortadella, Hot Capocollo, Salami, Provolone. Did all the fixings except mayo. Freshly made when ordered. This was a really good sandwich and would order again. Loved finding THE BOY'S DELI, with their original location in SF, nearby so I'll be back to eat my way through their sandwich menu. Especially some of their popular specials like SANFRANPSYCHO, SANDLOT, GODFATHER, HOT MESS, CHICKEN GARLC ASIAGO to start! See you there!

I was so excited to try this deli with my colleague and it ended in my stomach cramping and some other side effects. We both were really turned off by our sandwiches. I ordered the pastrami brisket, build yourself, toasted with everything except jalapeños, on a soft white roll. My colleague ordered the Hot Mess (meatball) on sourdough, toasted. They seem reasonably priced. This was to-go order, we ate at our desks at work. My friend's sandwich was not toasted and wet, huge red flag, he's ok. Mine was burnt black on the ends and had no taste outside of the mustard. The pastrami had no taste or flavor. Something just seemed off. A little over a hour later my stomach was cramping. I'm not trashing on this deli, but bring awareness, please wash hands and glove up when prepping foods. Please educate your employees. Also, chat with your purveyors about your meats or breads. If it doesn't look right, call them immediately and throw it out. Both of our sandwiches were cold, not hot and toasty. It was all very strange. I grew up making sandwiches at a very young age of 14 in a NY family deli and spent years in food service. This order was very off. For the owners, this was ordered today 12/1, if you want to have a discussion with staff that work around noon today. I see the great ratings from Yelpers. Maybe this was a bad day for staff and/or inventory, not sure. Pretty sure I'll stick to my usual sammie places in the future. My pic looks nice. I was very excited opening it prior to eating it. I rarely ever give a sad review but I think this necessary in this situation.

The Freak Sandwich , a bit dry today; made for an uneven taste experience.

Greetings to all, today's review of the Freak sandwich and a thoughtful Salad. The service was on point and very good. The deli itself was modesty lit, with just the right amount of light . We had the Freak sandwich today which was a bit dry on one side and Happy on the other; this made for an uneven taste balance for us , besides this; the San was just ok. I just Love Georgetta or the Female worker that was working at the time, She made a Salad for me that was Outstanding, don't judge a book by its cover; this salad was on point. Today's visit is a 3.5 stars and can only get better; I will continue to come here and Try all things on the menu.

Solid Solid deli sandwich! One thing I love about the Bay Area is that there's always a deli when you need it and a plus when its delicious!! Service is quick and easy, they've got tons of specials on the board. Been here a couple times to grab a sandwich on my way to work. Try it out!!

Ordered on DoorDash since it was a rainy day but I still wanted a sandwich I tried the godfather, one of the boys and San Franpsycho. We love turkey and salami so it was cool to have some variety on how it was made. Bread fresh and meat solid and ingredients tasty. I will definitely come order here again.

I don't know if it's because I was super hungry but my sandwich was SO GOOD. Staff was super nice. Got some good recs after mentioning that it was my first time. Ordered the SanFranPsycho on soft bread, everything but jalapeño + toasted. It was so flavorful. I liked that it wasn't overwhelming. It was well portioned and not soggy. Parking in this area is really rough, but it'll be worth looking. Limited seating as well. Easier to order for take out. OVERALL: Good quality sandwich, on the pricier end but I think it was worth it.

My husband brought home sandwiches from here three times in one week. They must order their Dutch crunch from a sorcerer because that bread is magical. Their sandwich combos are pretty amazing--did I mention we had their sandwiches three times in one week? We had to stop because we were getting addicted. We are looking forward to the next time we treat ourselves to a sandwich from The Boys Deli.

The San Franpsycho was incredible. The Dutch crunch was warm and fresh. Friendly customer service and top quality ingredients. I'll definitely be back.

My friend and I were in the neighborhood and came across this Deli store in walking distance. So we decided to give it a try! It turned out that this became my top 3 sandwich places in the Bay Area! They have a wide selection of sandwiches on their menu and multiple options for bread. We had no idea what to try so simply picked the first 2 on the menu. I got the SanFranPsyco with sour dough bread. It was much better than I expected! The honey turkey was tender and juicy and balanced well with the Gouda cheese, pesto, and garlic spread. The sour dough bread was fresh and crispy. All sandwiches came with veggies but you also have the option to choose what you want to include / exclude. The portion was so large that I could only finish half of it. The shop was pretty small with only 3-4 seats next to the window. There is plenty street parking available near the shop, so parking shouldn't be a problem.

Very solid for a sandwich spot in Millbrae! It's a small shop with sandwiches toasted right to perfection. It's located in an area that's hard to find parking but it's not that bad if you can find something within the neighborhood. I ordered their SanFrancPyscho sandwich with Dutch Crunch. It had honey turkey, gouda, bacon, garlic spread, and remoulade. The sandwich was then toasted as well. That extra toasted-ness made the sandwich taste so good. I love dutch crunch in general but having it hot and crispy was delicious. The ingredients weren't anything spectacular, but it was a well constructed sandwich with good quality ingredients and I really enjoyed it. Definitely come give this place a shot if you're in the area!

Happy w/their wide selection of cold beverages, especially the SanPellegrino Italian sparkling drinks! There's also a little nicely laid out seating area to eat-in, otherwise take your orders to go. FRESH HOUSE ROASTED TURKEY or ROAST BEEF SANDWICH on Sourdough or Dutch Crunch roll added Swiss cheese, with turkey and provolone with the roast beef, with all the fixings, except for Mayo. Latter in case I don't finish the whole sandwich and had leftovers. Fresh roasted turkey and beef is the way to go for a sandwich but difficult to find in a deli where Boars Heads is prevalent. Tony uses a wonderfully pungent, housemade garlic spread but with a light touch. That makes for a much more delicious, well-balanced sandwich. GLM's CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH is also house made but will have to wait for return visits. Also looking forward to trying their ITALIAN COMBO, GODFATHER, NEW YORKER and OLD CHICAGO sandwiches! This is a tiny little shop that seems to do a tremendous amount of business. Yesterday, we were in the area at 11:30, before the lunch rush officially begins. We parked practically in front at the curb and walked to the front door. Inside were about 10 customers, some waiting to pay, some watching their sandwiches being made and others waiting to order. We weren't quite exactly where to stand so we wormed our way to what we thought might be the end of the line. Probably not necessary. There were three sandwich makers and they simply called "next" when they were ready for the next guest. The first question we were asked was how many sandwiches followed by what breads. We're both fans of Dutch Crunch so that made it easy. Then we were asked what sandwich was first. With everything? What kind of cheese? Any add-ons? Then the second sandwich, same questions. The process was impressive. Our sandwich maker knew his craft and made us two wonderful sandwiches. She ordered the Fire Roasted Steak with everything. I ordered the Lucca's Ultimate Club without the Hot Pepper Sauce (mistake!). We got back to our van and the hot Steak smelled so good, we split it right then and completely devoured it! The Hot Pepper Sauce was not super spicy and the entire sandwich was huge and delicious. This morning, we split the Lucca's Ultimate. We each managed to put away about 1/2 of our 1/2 and then had to put them away. Not to worry, we finished them at dinner. I think because I had omitted the Hot Pepper Sauce, this sandwich wasn't quite as moist. I would have liked more lettuce, tomato and possibly some avocado. That's a note to myself for next time. Yes, there will be a next time. Service was great. Food was great. I wouldn't want the business to change anything. A small shop with huge demand that makes great food is worth the wait. Some might say that enlarging the business would increase speed and capacity but I say don't mess with a great thing!
